Update 19/08/2024: Version 2.0.1 - Performance Update. Reinstall DreamPunk with the updated files below and reinstall ReShade with the updated preset for SDR or HDR. This will fix stutters!

This is the official release of DreamPunk 2.0. This version brings many new things including HDR Weathers, Dynamic Clouds, RT Cloud Shadows and Refined Color Grading. ReShade is now a requirement because of the need of Dynamic Color Adaption. Download the SDR or the HDR version as well as the DreamPunk ReShades and then follow the installation instructions provided below. Additional recommended mods, hotkeys (to disable/enable Black Bars & DOF) and known issues are further down this post. I hope you enjoy this release!

INSTALLATION

DreamPunk 2.0 SDR:

1. Drag & Drop all the contents of the DreamPunk_2.0_SDR.zip file to the CyberPunk installation folder.

2. Install ReShade from https://reshade.me/ and during the setup select the preset included in the DreamPunk_2.0_ReShade.zip file named "DreamPunk_2.0_SDR"

3. Start the game and press "Home" to open the ReShade overlay. Go to the Add-ons tab and make sure the settings are the same as in the downloadable picture below then press "Reload" at the bottom.

4. Done!

Note: If you have an older version of DreamPunk please remove the file from Cyberpunk 2077\archive\pc\mod before installing.

DreamPunk 2.0 HDR:

1. Drag & Drop all the contents of the DreamPunk_2.0_HDR.zip file to the CyberPunk installation folder.

2. Install ReShade from https://reshade.me/ with full addon support and during the setup select the preset included in the DreamPunk_2.0_ReShade.zip file named "DreamPunk_2.0_HDR"

3. Install RenoDX from https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/13912?tab=description and start the game. This solves some of the vanilla problems with HDR tonemapping.

4. Set your in-game HDR settings to your screens max nits and tonemap midpoint to 1.5. You can find my personal settings for my OLED in the downloadable picture below.

4. Open your ReShade menu by pressing Home on your keyboard and make sure your RenoDX settings are exactly like in the downloadable picture in this post except the Peak Brightness which need to be set according to your screen. Also go to the Add-ons tab and make sure the settings are the same as in the downloadable picture below then press "Reload" at the bottom.

5. Done!

Note: If you have an older version of DreamPunk please remove the file from Cyberpunk 2077\archive\pc\mod before installing.

RESHADE HOTKEYS:

- Open/Close the ReShade overlay with "Home".

- Disable/Enable Black Bars (Letterbox) with "Arrow Up"

- Disable/Enable Depth of Field with "Arrow Down"

Note: You can rebind these keys in the ReShade menu should you not have these buttons on your keyboard.

GRAPHICS SETTINGS:

- Everything should be on MAX. The ReShade is designed for 4K Resolution but should look fine on lower resolutions. There may be artifacts on 1080P and below and the sharpening may need adjusting.

- Path Tracing is a requirement if you wish the game to be photorealistic. The game will still look good on standard Ray Tracing but it will not be photorealistic.

- DLSS Sharpening should be at 0.25 for 4K, try experimenting with this for lower resolutions. Use any DLSS preset you like, the higher the better.

- I use FOV 120 to create photorealistic width, it can give you a good sense of depth. I use FOV 70 for closeup shots with DOF.

- All basic options (Film Grain Etc.) should be off except Motion Blur as it helps mask the noise from the Path Tracing AI during fast movement. Use High or Low, it's up to you.

- You can turn off Ray Reconstruction to make NPCs look much better but it will increase the noise during some scenes.

- Do not use Frame Generation uncapped because of the incompatability described further below. Same goes for AMD Fluid Motion Frames as reported by some of my subscribers.

KNOWN ISSUES:

- Black Screen on launch happens if you did not install the mod properly and only installed the ReShade. If this happens the ReShade will not have any .cube file in the Game Directory and will display Black Screen.

- The new photorealistic Eye Adaption can make some interiors very dark during daytime in sunny weather types. This is because vanilla CP2077 turns down the interior lights during the day and instead relies more on Eye Adaption. I'm currently researching ways to amplify interior lights during daytime.

- If you experience that the game is too dark in HDR please increase the exposure in RenoDX to 1.5-2.0 depending on your monitor!

- GOG Overlay is not compatible with any ReShade, disable it from the GOG client settings.

- The ReShade DOF is not compatible with uncapped Frame Generation. When using DOF you should disable Frame Generation or cap your FPS to a stable number such as 30-35.

- NPC fidelity depends on the location, weather and time of day. While removing Ray Reconstruction will minimize this issue, I highly suggest playing at night or using the Heavy Clouds or Rain weather during midday hours if your goal is to have good looking NPCs. It's mainly a Path Tracing integration issue that must be solved on the engineering side, it's unrelated to DreamPunk 2.0.

- If your game crashes after a few minutes it is either related to the DOF Frame Generation issue or Memory Leaks. DreamPunk does not cause any leaks but the game has serious memory problems when running many other script dependent mods. Try to disable all other mods except the ones i mention in this post and you should be fine.

COMPATIBILTY & COMMENTS:

DreamPunk 2.0 is incompatible with any mod that modifies Weathers (Weathermancer is fine), LUTs or Graphics Configurations. Use a fresh install when installing DreamPunk 2.0 if you're experiencing problems and add other mods afterwards. If the game does not look as intended, there is most likely a mod overwrite issue or installation error. If you have any problems with the mod, do not comment without detailing your problem, otherwise I can't help you. Comments without a proper problem description and background will be deleted as they serve no purpose what so ever for any other subscriber and only flood the comment section for people looking for help.

Omer Ali

Oh man, this is absolutely your best work yet. Fantastic job on this.

Cyril UMirin

can you make us a before/after video to compare with your old photorealistic mod which was already incredible please?

Shunon

wow, amazing

jere ong

Watching the yt video now! Will re install cp2077 later! Well done bro!

Drahoslav Duna

So is it better install fresh game? Because I use your last AI reshade with Nova LUT

Omer Ali

Just delete Nova LUT or any other Graphics mod and you're good.

Alexandru-Alin Ciobanu

Dude, am I crazy or there isn't anything in the archive? Amazing work, btw.

Sebastian Staedler

Looks very good! My only issue so far is the exposure while driving, but you already seem to be aware of that.

NextGenDreams

That’s great to hear! The driving exposure in FPP is problematic in certain weathers, it will be fixed in the next update!

John Turner

i've gotta have a setting somewhere that's wrong. the reflections off cars aren't as clear as yours, mine are a bit grainy. i've tried messing with the screen space reflections but no good

Alexandru-Alin Ciobanu

I've got a 4090 and using Pathtracing / Ray Reconstruction. I can't seem to get such a clean look like yours. The DoF is glitchy and there is a lot of shimmering going on. What settings are you using, if you don't mind me asking? Also running DLSS in Quality mode. On balanced or Performance it has the same issues.

NextGenDreams

Yes, this reminded me I should include some info. For functional DOF you need to disable Frame Generation or set a low framecap. 30-33 in-game should be enough. ReShade has problems with unstable fps and FG! FG also creates a lot of screen blur. I will go over this in detail in the video guide.

Stuart

hey man, my game crashes after few minutes using your mod (no reshade used, only the main files). I've been playing with GITS etc and other LUT & ENV for a long time with no crashes (I also made sure I removed all LUT, ENV, and weather mods etc). I have a RTX 4090 and gets 100+ FPS with your mod with path tracing and everything on max, so don't think it's hardware issue either. A real pity because it looks STUNNING!

NextGenDreams

Hello sir, thanks for the feedback. Would you mind removing the DreamPunk[GRAPHICS].ini from Cyberpunk 2077\engine\config\platform\pc? I'd be curious to see if this fixes your crashing issue. It's most likely a process related crash!

Charisma

This actually looks amazing

Gautam Mengi

Finally got it to work, and oh my god I can't get enough of this, It is beyond imaginable how good this looks, thank you so much for your work!

Sebastian Staedler

Awesome! I also noticed some textures, objects and lights popping into and out of view. Is that from the settings in the graphics.ini?

Adam Mehal

I need a little help - I installed the .zip here which was 6.6 MB and extracted to my install folder, but its still only 6.6 MB? Nothing seems to have changed

NextGenDreams

You need to move the contents of the .zip file to the CP2077 installation folder! All the folders inside of it: - archive, bin and engine needs to be moved there! If you already did this then check my video guide from the Photorealistic ReShade post further down in the Patreon feed to make sure you located the correct folder!

Diogo Silva Sena

Also, whats the best time of day / weather effect for this mod?

NextGenDreams

Any weather and time you like but the latest video bike ride was recorded at 15:30 in Sunny and Light clouds weather. The mercedes ride was recorded in Heavy Clouds and Rain at 11:30. Last beach scene was recorded in Cloudy weather at 18-19pm!

Omer Ali

If I could give some feedback, there are two things IMO that could be altered. The sky looks more turquoise at times than it does blue and I'm not an entirely big fan of the Light Clouds weather type.

NextGenDreams

Cyberpunk 2077 has notorious LOD issues because of the Path Tracing implementation. I'm doing work currently on exposure and LOD pop-in. Currently, fixing the pop-in issue comes at the cost of crashing for many systems.

Sebastian Staedler

I see. Wasn't sure if the pop-in was present before. First time I've noticed it, but also haven't played in a while. I was even getting pop-in when entering a building and walking towards an elevator.

NextGenDreams

Yes, I know, it's really obvious, especially when overall graphics fidelity gets higher. Playing on low res you won't notice it. If you'd like to test it, you can remove the DreamPunk[GRAPHICS].ini from Cyberpunk 2077\engine\config\platform\pc. The pop-in will be even worse! I will provide a heavier alternative in the next update for those that want to push the limits.

Sebastian Staedler

That sounds like a good idea to have multiple options available in terms of fidelity and system load. Anyways, thanks for all the work you're doing, really appreciate it!

francois outin

Hy , we need to install before use this reshade the photorealistic mod or it's just a reshade ? Cause its easier to install (copy paste) than the photorealistic mod.

Mattia Grignani

With SDR It works way better imo, HDR has too much saturation

NextGenDreams

I’d be curious to know if you tried HDR with the auto ReShade or without it? This version of the included ReShade should work great for HDR

Mattia Grignani

I've tried to enable/disable the color correction of the cinematic auto preset (it's the only option that changes the look, right?) and I can only notice a beautiful improvement of the colors. Anyway, on my OLED with HDR I have blacks that are too black and whites that are too white. It's like everything Is too strong: in some hours the sun reflections make me wanna put my sunglasses on in real life :). This mod with HDR is like a beautiful elaborated picture, but with SDR looks like real life. What did you use in your bike showcase video?

Xavi94

Looks like the video most of the time. I hope you keep developing this bro

NextGenDreams

Yes you’re correct about the preset! These are very nice descriptions, thank you for this sir. It gives me something to work with. HDR is always a bit experimental in games because it varies so much from screen to screen. Most monitors aren’t actually true HDR like your OLED is! For the video it’s shot in SDR because most people use SDR for Youtube today. It might change in the future

Kelevra

Hi, i got a fresh install of the game, but it crashes right after the opening titles, just before you have to push spacebar. edit nevermind, was gog overlay :)

Mist Studios

Look amazing great job on it, my only feedback would be, look into things taking longer to trigger example calls take longer to trigger from when they should, and conversations take like 10 seconds to trigger after completing the action required. just my 2 cents visually tho, stunning great job!

Nick Aveta

Looks great! DOF a little too aggressive for me though.

Diogo Silva Sena

Can confirm what a previous user said about it being too dark and too bright on HDR (using Dell Alienware AW3423DW if that helps) the dark isn't too bad actually but the bright sun is truly blinding like you slept at a tint on the beach and just woke up looking at the sun SDR looks amazing tho, even HDR looks great if I use some clouds and more towards sunset / night

NextGenDreams

Hello sir, have you tried changing the DOF preset? Do you feel like all of them are too much?

Faloure

I'm using it in conjunction with more than 100 "mods" and it works as it should, I used vortex to implement it into the game and it worked!

Faloure

Installing via Vortex is simple: just place the zip file in the Vortex download folder and then enable it in Vortex, which will install it in the Cyberpunk folder along with the other 'mods'. You will notice there is an attention point on the 'mod' status, this is because it lacks information such as version, author, etc. The important thing is that it works perfectly and I didn’t have to uninstall anything besides the graphic 'mods' that were there before.

JUN0819

I have been using CP 2077 Photorealistic and now DreamPunk 1.0. It's great and I love it! One last question, you said that it is "incompatible with mods that change the graphics configuration", should I not install the "Cyberpunk Ultra Plus Better Path Tracing and Stutter Hotfix" as well?

NextGenDreams

Great to hear you're liking it! And yes, that's correct. Ultra+ is not needed for DreamPunk 1.0!

Cvdp

very good mod, really! installed with 140 mod the game is magnificent with a 4090 in 4k thank you! just one question, how do you take photos? when I take a capture, I have a very significant overexposure thank you

NextGenDreams

Thank you for the feedback sir, would you care sending me an image of your capture with the message function here on Patreon? You can use imgur or alike to link the image!

Reemaaqh

Just Perfect <3, tysm

Kelevra

out of curiosity, besides nextgen's excellent work is there any other mod you would recommend/think is necessary?

Awais

Could you please include your graphics and video settings (Also HDR settings) so I can match those as well ? I did a fresh install and followed the video guide (I was waiting for this) and the game looks amazing.

NextGenDreams

Graphics is all maxed out with Path Tracing and Ray Reconstruction - DLSS varies depending on the scene. Frame Generation is off most of the time. HDR depends on your monitor, for me it’s HDRPQ at Midpoint 2.8

Latent_Dreamscape

Funny how much midpoint can differ. I am running a 58" TCL HDR TV, and anything over 1.3-4 looks way too blown out. Good job on the mod though, 85% of the time I have "omg that can't be a video-game" graphics. The other 25 I use weathermancer and time adjust to stop it from looking so bad (but that part isn't so much your fault - though if you can solve it, it would be amazing hahahaha).

Awais

What about Chromatic aberration, lens flare, motion blur, etc

NextGenDreams

Everything except the motion blur is forced off by DreamPunk 1.0. You can do as you like with motion blur. Personally i love to turn it off when I'm playing with high FOV. For driving I personally prefer it on high!

Mickael DE JESUS

Hey bro thank you ! have you a list of your all mods please ? its verry beautiful but its close the same with my 7900xtx Other question : do you have activate blur ? deepth of field , chromatic abberation and grain ? The mod is optimized or i have too install Cyberpunk Ultra Plus Better Path Tracing and Stutter Hotfix i will have more fps ? I only have 1 weather ? it's ALWAYS sunny Thank you (same for me i have alienware 34 oled HDR and the white and black are too strong) But VERY NICE MOD !!

David

When you mention no graphic mods/configurations - what does that include? Can I still download my own texture mods (2k, 4k) off Nexus? Or would those be incompatible?

ESTK

I liked it a lot. Next month I will upgrade my subscription to NextGen Platinum. However, here I leave a question I have: https://prnt.sc/sNkkr---Vxsk how do I make my sky look like this? Seriously, it looks perfect and makes a big difference in the game. I would really like to know how to do it because I think the game looks perfect this way." Thank you for the response in advance.

NextGenDreams

Rain, Cloudy and Heavy Clouds weather will give you this effect with different variations. You can use Weathermancer: https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/9805 to set and lock the weather to your liking!

ouass

Hello, when I install reshade on my Cyberpunk 2077 purchased on GOG Galaxy, the game doesn't start and freezes during the first few seconds of loading. Do you know how I can fix this issue please? Thank you.

NextGenDreams

Hello sir! Disable the GOG overlay in the settings from the GOG client, it’s got compatibility issues with ReShade!

Andres Rodriguez

I have an issue with blur not going away, in menu, in game, in overlay, for some reason part of the screen always has a blur.

NextGenDreams

Hello sir, you should bind an effect toggle key to the DOF so you can disable it at will as I did in the video guide!

Paolo caiffa

By following the tutorials I was able to install everything. I would just like some advice on the values to use in the hdr settings. Gaming on a 65 inch oled c1

Good Gaming Performance GGP

Nice mod, any particular graphic setting to be aware off (my setup: no HDR, 4k, RTX 4090). Thank you !

Awais

How to uninstall btw ? I installed this on fresh install of cp2077. I want to play vanilla game for a bit.

Kevin Vu

Insane, I've tried the previous implementations but this one gets the look of your videos down way more consistently while all being a single mod. Great work.

Alex Willander

Is there a picture of what graphic settings we need to use?

NextGenDreams

Uninstalling mods in Cyberpunk is done by removing the files you moved to the installation path from the mod folder. For DreamPunk 1.0 you should remove DreamPunk 1.0.archive from your installation path: ...\Cyberpunk 2077\archive\pc\mod as well as: DreamPunk[GRAPHICS].ini from: ...\Cyberpunk 2077\engine\config\platform\pc

NextGenDreams

Max out everything and make sure you have path tracing on. Don't use any extras such as film grain and so on. DLSS and every other setting is dependent on your setup!

NextGenDreams

Depends on your setup, but make sure you have path tracing on. I don't suggest using any extras such as film grain. Set DLSS to the quality that makes your setup run smoothly!

Dan Clark

A shoutout to the developer for the excellent support! Using a projector with excellent contrast and color gamut I could not configure the game such that I could see anything at night yet day was totally overexposed. The developer looked into it nd suggested RenoDX; it immediately gave me control to get the picture spot on and now I'm just LOVING Dreampunk, what a great mod and great support. If you're having issues with saturation and exposure that can't be corrected in the game UI, this is a great solve. https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/13912

Ocean Powell

Great work! I sent a reply in our DM's hoping to hear back from you. Appreciate your time!

MiSt

It's a problem with the game, not the mod. Unfortunately it's like this due to the way the game renders the character in first person.

abaddon1911

awesome dude!, but i have a oled c2, so dark, is too dark and bright is so much bright, and i using windows hdr calibration win 11, i dont know how to solve that :(, its no like ur images, some times, its better on vanilla, without the mod

NextGenDreams

Try to use this utility mod for better in-game HDR calibration: https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/13912

StoryFirstDM

So is Dreampunk meant to replace all your previous mods as a kind of all-in-one? Can I use this with the bodycam mod or are they not compatible?

Blerd Static

So, I'm on a moderate setup with 3060ti 8gb, 32gb ram, i9 12900k, 5 terabytes ssd, hdd, m.2 memory altogether. Should I even attempt to try this mod? I can play cyberpunk on ultra settings vanilla.

abaddon1911

Did like u said, and i just want to know, how much game brightness where, i now peak is my maximum nits oled, but de game, i dont know the value

Latent_Dreamscape

Just curious if there will be a new version soon?

J1SKYE

Hi, just wanted to say firstly the mod is absolutely outstanding - I've only just upgraded to an RTX4070ti and was blown away by the vanilla game with path tracing already, but this took it to the next level, I've never seen or played anything with quality like this - it's jaw dropping! The only minor issue I have is that where V reflects off of surfaces, they will render headless - I've seen this is just a limitation of the game, I've found a mod that adds the option of rendering V with a head (tho not perfect, definitely would add to the immersion) - I'm assuming it would be incompatible with DreamPunk tho? This is the mod for reference - https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/5046 Or if this is incompatible, do you have any plans on implementing V's head rendering in path tracing, or an option to switch V reflecting completely? I feel like I'd rather just not have V reflecting off of stuff than have them reflect headless. Apart from this - which tbh isn't even the mods fault - it's been absolutely flawless for me!

Dan Clark

Individual settings will depend on your monitor. For me, I used the utility and set white to D65, contrast and shadows most of the way up, highlights at about 30%, and then peak and game brightnesss around 2100 and 275. That worked well with my monitor, I think saturation was around 40. My projector is calibrated and on a screen with 1.0 gain, so YMWV with a display. Ignore the in-game HDR settings except to set the UI illumination. Oh yeah, I think I had set the processing to "after".

J1SKYE

To add to this, I've just noticed that V's head does render in reflections in photomode - maybe this could be somehow implemented?

NextGenDreams

Hello sir, thank you for the feedback. I have not tried this mod myself. Feel free to go ahead and do so and report back to me if it works!

J1SKYE

Thanks for the response! I did some digging and this mod basically just does what your mod already does, so it's not really necessary - it was AMM that added the ability to toggle V's head, tho it then just renders full stop, not just in reflections - so there's clipping of hair and sometimes eyes (really freaky lol) during gameplay. I managed to find the line in the config file of DreamPunk to toggle V's reflection off completely which I think will suit me better than having him render headless

David

Not sure if it was the 1.1 update from this mod, or some incompatibility with other texture mods I'm using, but after updating to 1.1 - V in the menus, as well as NPCs during a phone call are very whitened.

Glib Shpychka

Following the guide, the reshader window I was presented with did not look like yours, and I was not able to achieve Depth of Field. I suggest people to just go to nexusmods and install mods from there for free - there is nothing special about this collection of mods here.

NextGenDreams

Hello sir, this is a problem with RenoDX that happens when the LUT correction at the bottom of the configuration window is at 100. I suggest lowering it to 95. I will update the included picture!

VanGuard

Can you tell me your in-game graphic setting?

ジョンロック

The Reshade add-on at the URL cannot be used. https ://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/13912?.The Reshade menu screen will display “limited add-on functionality.”

NextGenDreams

Hello sir, this is because you did not install ReShade with full addon support. You can download it from here: https://reshade.me/downloads/ReShade_Setup_6.1.1_Addon.exe or follow the link that is provided from the RenoDX mod page!

Arda Gurcuoglu

Is it compatible with Weathermancer?

xoly dior

love the mod! can i ask what you set your in game gamma to?

JamLamb

So also first on patreon. But I have a stupid question. Does disabled mods work the same as non installed mods?

NextGenDreams

Hello sir, happy to hear you’re liking DreamPunk! Gamma for SDR is at 1 for me but it depends on the monitor and the calibration of it. I recommend somehwere between 0.95-1.05!

NextGenDreams

Hello sir, I read your comments. I would like to ask you to write me a message and send me pictures of your in-game problem and I’ll get back to you as quickly as possible!

xoly dior

okay thank you! and one more question for the changelog for Update 1.1 it says it removes the reflection of V but for me he's still there. is that a problem on my end or am i just missing something?

NextGenDreams

Depends a bit on your monitor - the best way for Cyberpunk overall is to set the peak nits just a tad bit lower than your monitors max in RenoDX. Generally speaking, it’s better to follow your eyes than the monitors peak nits. Sunny weathers in HDR will need a special setup with very light eye adaption to solve most of the overexposure!

Alfredo Hernandez

Any projects in the works to bring in preem vehicles to the game maybe bikes??

Ahein

"- Based on community feedback I've removed the reflection of V as it was headless and broken." - I'm still seeing V's head broken in the reflections. Had the same problem with Dreampunk 1.0 and now 1.1. Other than that, everything looks awesome specially in HDR as I've followed your HDR recommendations.

NextGenDreams

Hello sir, thank you for the feedback. It was great that you pointed this out. I took a quick look at the .ini and made a small correction to the attached file. If you replace the files with the ones attached the reflection should now be gone as intended

Jsus plays

Hey Dream, could you please tell me the list of the mods you were using in your latest video ? (except the car mods that you showed in the description)

Jason Todd

Hey Dream, looks like my comment has either been surpressed or deleted. I replied to a comment that also seems to be missing now, that the mod doesn't seem to change much on a clean install with max settings, and doesnt look like your video. I wanted to know what other mods you are using on top of this to get the effect. Currently running a 4080 super with a ryzen 7950x and 64gb of 6400mhz ram, so don't think my build is the issue.

Nadir Anncoud

it doesn't work, it keeps crashing after 4sec. I have a RTX4090 I9 13900k and 64gb ram ddr5

Yolo Slides

If you mean vehicles that aren't in the game, there are TONS on nexus

Yolo Slides

(4090) I'm having a thing where the screen fades a bit between dark and light as I make slight turns. And in the areas where it goes dark, it corrects when i draw a weapon. I have a short screen capture of it if you'd like to see. Nonetheless, insane mod. I used 1.0 as well. Also: I'm running SDR as I stream and Twitch doesn't play well with HDR.

Dan Clark

Installed and working great, but it was quite overexposed with the new HDR Denox settings. Also, DOF isn't installing for me, whatever DOF I select is being ignored and I'm only getting Cinematic as an option, which is way overdoing it, even with HUD off. Ideas on what's up with DOF installation?

Dan Clark

For anyone else with HDR that ends up too bright these changes in Denox did it for me... Game brightness 277, Exposure 0.91, HIghlights 26. Looks brilliant!

Bears

Great! I hope that in the next version update, the size and number of puddles on the ground during rainy days can be increased. The current puddles are a little too few

NextGenDreams

Thank you for the feedback sir, I'll take a look at the puddles. It's very possible for me to increase this!

NextGenDreams

Hello sir, when you open the overlay in the game, at the top there should be a bar displaying the preset you're currently using. If you extracted all the presets to the game folder and have installed the one I mentioned in the setup guide you should be able to change these from here by clicking on the bar and scrolling down!

NextGenDreams

Yes sir, please send me a picture of this in the message function if you can! I collect all feedback I get and adress as many problems as possible in every update!

NextGenDreams

Are you running a completely clean install? The mod does not directly change things that causes crashes other than the DOF incompatibility with uncapped Frame Generation. It could also be a GOG issue if you're running the game from that platform with the overlay as it has an incompatibility with the ReShade injection if the overlay is enabled. In that case you can disable it from the GOG client!

NextGenDreams

Hello sir, your problem indicates that the mod did not install properly as DreamPunk does have a big impact on the overall look of the game. For help with installation related issues I kindly ask you to write a message to me right here on Patreon, detailing your problems, so that I can help you personally. I've had many problems in the comments where people share bogus help that just ends up making people confused. So please go ahead and send me details and pictures of how your game looks and I can get to the bottom of it!

NextGenDreams

Any in particular you're looking for? For textures I prefer: https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/13372 and then to help with LOD: https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/4923 - I can also recommend trying out: https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/7415 for changing the DLSS model to C!

Dan Clark

Hi, that's the issue. I installed the one you suggested, or tried, but only one option shows. I'll double/triple check tonight.

Lost Hawk

Looks great, amazing! When I first tried DreamPunk it looked great but still not the same as in your videos but after I enabled HDR, used texture mods and tinkering with the settings it looks the same and amazing! I see in the ReShade_Settings that you mention to disable FG to make DOF work properly but I don't know what setting you are refering to.

NextGenDreams

Hello sir, thanks for the feedback! I'm refering to frame generation! Depending on your card this option may or may not be available. Turning it off or settings a low FPS cap will ensure the DOF does not flicker all the time!

xoly dior

hey dream just wanna quickly ask how did you set up dlss 3.7 and have it working properly? did you use dlss swapper? or just dlss tweaks?

Arthur Amelin

hello im new to this pack. thos lod and texture mods asks for more mods to instal like script plus scripts and native ui and so on,do i need to download those mods as well? or only the texture and lod mods you recommended

NextGenDreams

Hello again! To get DLSS 3.7 working properly make sure you place the nvngx_dlss.dll from: https://www.techpowerup.com/download/nvidia-dlss-dll/ in your installation path in: bin\x64. Make sure you unblock the nvngx_dlss.dll by right clicking it, clicking on properties and clicking on unblock at the bottom. You can setup your DLSS further with DLSS tweaks: Setting the quality preset to 0.8 or higher and using the new model E is a great way to increase the fidelity of the game. Remember that the closer you get to 1.0 the less you need Ray Reconstruction so I recommend trying different numbers here to see what looks the best to you!

Mark

May we have the gray version of the Ninja bike? or is it a commission?

Jaxon A

havving file perm issue when trying to load the DOF presets

Ryan Johns

Hello I have installed and re installed twice following the install video and everything seems to be right except when i enter the game it appears to be vanilla graphics still so im not sure what im missing?

Jonnecy Smith

would this work with the Unrecord mod ?

Drew Trembley

my game keeps crashing on start up'

YUANKAI LIU

Very real mod for the game, but I think the sky color on a sunny day not deep blue enough.

Andres Delgado

yoo @NEXTGEN, could you guide me through some stuff ?/ lmfao, I just can't get my game to look like this ://

Ponsity

Do remember that it is also depending on your pc hardware. He seems to play on higher resolutions as well as the in-game graphic settings to be fully maxed out with Ray Tracing and Path Tracing enabled as well as DLSS. Unfortunately for me I cannot achieve even 60 FPS while playing with these settings as my pc hardware isn't top of the line like the RTX 4090.

Andres Delgado

it runs fairly awesome, ray tracing enable and ultra setts plays at a solid 60-70, with mods, im on ryzen 7 7700x 6800xt

Andres C

Wow this is amazing still works my game runs even better and looks better how's that possible

Destiny

why does my game looks just ultra saturated (i used a fresh game)

SeyTann

Got a quick question after installing the mod and starting the game I have everything on max settings with ray tracing and path tracing do I need to run it at 4 k or can I keep the resolution at 1080p

Latent_Dreamscape

Everybody's system is a little bit different. Assuming you followed the guide(s) included in the zip *to a T*, you shouldn't be having any issues. Also, be sure you try the different reshade profiles included - as well as having your HDR settings (if you play with HDR on) done properly, monitor is calibrated properly, etc. Even still, in some areas where it's quite bright and sunny you may notice it looks oversaturated, in which case you need to do a little tweaking until you find what looks good to you. You can also try downgrading to one of the previous versions of the mod - some people, myself included, think 1.0 looked more 'real' - YMMV.

Dimitris Karapavlos

Hey guys, i have a question, the mod states that it has custom ultra graphics configuration designed for Ray Tracing & Path Tracing. I have installed the mod on my already modded game with no issues, i just removed old weather mods and LUT, but i am a bit confused. I play on a 4090, and i have my graphics maxed, do i need to remove somehow my graphic settings and use the mods settings or i can keep using my maxed settings, my game runs 100-120 fps at 3840x1600 with DLSS balanced and path tracing with ray reconstuction.

sjd business

also noticed in one of your cyberpunk videos you reccomend hd reowkred- is this still the case? any other mods?

Alex Flores

can we get an updated video some of this stuff is archived

NextGenDreams

Mod update is coming this Saturday, I will attach an extra guide to the post. Video guide will be updated as soon as possible after release!

NextGenDreams

Hello sir, you can use HD reworked but I recommend this one over it: https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/13372

_aaccindustries_

Do you have a screen shot of setting my rtx3060 can run this mod on smoothly? Pathtracing kills it completely

Destiny

4080 super on 1440p will survive?

Hndrk

Are there any DOF options i can regulate to make the DOF less strong? DOF is all over the place for me, even with FPS caped at 30

Luka M

Hey! New subscriber here. Is it out yet? Just subscribed so don't know if this is it :)

NextGenDreams

Hello sir, did you try to disable it completely or remove Frame Generation? FG and DOF is only stable if the frames never go up or down so you might have to set the cap even lower for you specific setup. You can tweak it by pressing Home and scrolling down to the CinematicDOF parameters below!

NextGenDreams

Yes it should be no problem if using DLSs but 1440p will not look as photorealistic as 4K!

Sebastian Ferlin

If i already had 1.12 of your presahde, do i need to uninstall anything or can i just drag and drop the 2.0 update into the CP77 game folder?

NextGenDreams

You should uninstall the old version and then just do a new installation so that there are no mismatching!

Sebastian Ferlin

When you say uninstall do you mean just delete the old 1.12 files in the "archive" "bin" and "engine" folder then move the new 2.0 ones in?

eskrelli

kind of a dumb question, but why is there a SDR and HDR version? why would you not want to use the HDR version? do you need something specific to make it run?

Destiny

Do you use DLSS on your 4090 and if so what are your settings. Tho i only use DLAA

NextGenDreams

Hello sir, HDR is for people with True HDR display such as an OLED or other certified monitors. SDR can be used with any display!

RaitoONPC

Hi there! I'm a new subscriber and could really use your help. When I activate DOF, everything becomes extremely blurry, almost as if the effect is overly exaggerated. Is there a way to tone it down? In your video, the DOF effect looks spot-on, but when I use it, I can barely see anything beyond 5 meters. Also, do you use DOF while driving, or is this effect primarily meant for exploring Night City on foot? I've capped my framerate at 35 FPS. All the basic in-game effects are off except for Motion Blur. My graphics settings are on Ultra with Path Tracing, resolution at 4096 x 2160, and DLSS with Frame Generation set to performance. I'm running this on a 4080. It seems like the DOF effect is way too strong for me.

NextGenDreams

Hello sir, did you try to disable frame generation just to check if that helps? You can also try setting the cap lower at around 25-30 and see if that helps stability. Otherwise, have you tried disabling it and running the game with FOV 120? This usually looks very photorealistic

Ish Bass

How do you get that immersive camera movement while the camera itself seems still in your videos? Looks way better than vanilla headbob. I have a 3090 and Im definitely chugging a little with this mod. A lighter version that my card could handle would be amazing. I tried 1.1.2 months ago and it was AMAZING but I uninstalled because of the auto exposure issues, which it seems like you've improved on!! Thanks for the mod.

Laurent Y Neuvi FR

hi monsieur i was wondering how much of the gamma we should setting it to? SDR version

NextGenDreams

Hello sir, I’m happy to hear you’re back to try the new version, and you’re correct. I’ve done everything possible to solve exposure problems. I’m working right now on a performance friendly version, it should be ready the coming week. This version is heavy, I’m aware of that!

NextGenDreams

Hello Monsieur! It will depend a bit on your monitor but I usually stick with 1. Lowering it might be beneficial sometimes. Try 0.95 if 1 looks wrong!

N3

Really not sure why, but I just can't get this to look good. I'm on an RTX 4070 Super. I'm not looking for many frames, mostly it's for screenshots. But it just doesn't look good. Specially NPCs just look dull and flat. Doesn't even come close to your screenshots with cars and environments either. How can I make sure it runs as intended?

Duke

Is it me or version 1.2 was looking better? For me this one is too bright and colors are kind of washed out.

Knickers33

i have about 600 hours on the game and thanks to you im going to add another 100 hours lmao

JUN0819

I had no problem with SDR at first, but after uninstalling and re-installing it, I got a white screen. It seems to be caused by the effect of arrow up.

NextGenDreams

This problem did not appear for me or any of my testers. I've updated the ReShade to not include black bars. Download the new version and install it again. You might have to uninstall the old one!

Jsus plays

Can I ask you if you are using any kind of FOV mod for the bike scene in your latest video? I cant seem to change the on-bike FOV even tho I slide it up to 120 on an ultrawide screen.

LC9

Can anyone share screenshots of how it looks with NPCs?

NextGenDreams

Make sure you have Ray Reconstruction disabled if your main goal is to make NPCs look good!

Jay Cornholio

The Depth of Field is glitching like crazy.

NextGenDreams

Have you tried disabling Frame Generation and made sure all settings are the same as in the picture from ReShade above?

LC9

Thanks! I am having difficulties downloading the reshade preset for some reason, is that an absolute requirements if I don't care about DoF?

Jay Cornholio

Changing the settings fixed the issue. :) Although it is currently crippling my ROG Stix 4090 XD. No FG and I'm pulling 40FPS

Ver

Running the SDR version for AMD GPU - ReShade settings are correct, but entire game is just blurry. FG is disabled. Should I be switching over to HDR? Are there different settings for AMD?

NextGenDreams

Did you try to reload the ReShade with button at the bottom of the ReShade shader screen. AMD has got its own Frame Generation called Fluid Motion Frames, make sure that’s disabled as well

Scott Montoya

Getting a lot of stuttering even on balanced DLSS. Got a 4090 and a 14900k with 64gb 6000mhz ram.

Ver

Fluid Motion is off as well, and yes I have tried to reload ReShade. Going to attempt a full reinstall of everything including the game.

Ver

Update: Still same issues with SDR, I swapped to HDR however RenoDX is greyed out in the Reshade setup for addon installs even though the files are in the folder, going into Reshade doesn't have a RenoDX tab. Must be missing something here. Currently though without RenoDX same issues with HDR as I was having with SDR

Reuder16633

Hey, how did you manage to get the npcs looks so good in your newest YT video?

NextGenDreams

Hello sir, have you tried disabling ray reconstruction? Also ensure your FOV is 70 if you’re looking to see the detail of the NPCs

Reuder16633

Yeah i have that disabled. I mostly use cyberpunk to make photos but i have noticed that hdr is making the faces look less detailed.

Deepak Varanasi

Just in case (please do pardon me incase you have already answered this, sir/ma'am), may i know of the uninstallation process to undo everything that this mod does, to return to the state pre-mod (NOT vanilla, since i already have other mods installed before this one? May i asl o know if i could keep most of your settings and the colour schematic of the game, i.e., have your mod without affecting the colour grading of the game?

NextGenDreams

Hello sir, in order to remove all files included: 1. Remove DreamPunk_2.0_SDR.archive from Cyberpunk 2077\archive\pc\mod - 2. Remove DreamPunk[GRAPHICS].ini from Cyberpunk 2077\engine\config\platform\pc - 3. Uninstall the ReShade with the ReShade setup!

Deepak Varanasi

Thank you very much, sir/ma'am! May i ask if this would also undo changes from ReShade 6.2.0? Once again, thank you for your prom[t and patient response (i am new to this!).

NextGenDreams

Yes, if you uninstall the ReShade with the same setup that you installed ReShade with it will be completely gone from Cyberpunk 2077!

Deepak Varanasi

Thank you, sincerely. I hope you have an excellent day ahead and pardon any other queries i might have.

tmasterlegends

Confused about the reshade portion. browsed to try and find the DreamPunk_2.0_SDR preset during the installation portion and its .archive so it wont let me select it

Deepak Varanasi

Hello, sir/ma'am. I am unbale to open the reshade menu by pressing the "home" key, May i have your guidance regarding this issue? It is correctly installed.

The Dude

you need to select the .ini file inside the archive so you will likely need to extract the archive first.

tmasterlegends

how do you extract an archive? I extracted the zip folder, still shows the file as a .archive

Jay Can

Looks great, however like many of these types of mods, a typical problem still remains. Super over-exposed badlands. Blinding white where you can't see much at all. Using SDR.

Luvboy

you need to download Dreampunk_2.0_Reshades (hotfix 3).zip then select the ini SDR or HDR

NextGenDreams

Hello sir, that’s interesting, where is this location? I can easily fix it if I know where this is. Would you mind sending me a picture?

NextGenDreams

Make sure that ReShade installed properly for Cyberpunk 2077. Pressing the ”Home” key on your keyboard is the standard key for the ReShade overlay!

NextGenDreams

Like Luvboy said, you need the ReShades folder as well, just go over the instructions one more time so you didn’t miss anything.

N3

Yea. Pretty much went through all kinds of combinations. Went back to Nova LUT 2 - Pure with Ultra+ RT+PT preset again. My NPCs look best with this setup. Everytime I turn PT on things just don't look crisp anymore. Sure could be down to the GPU, but I'd rather it rendered crisp at low frames than not. Probably going to play around with it again here or there, but since the game looks pretty great already this is just for fun to play around with.

NextGenDreams

That’s interesting. I’ll take a second look at the NPCs in the HDR version to see if this might be a color grading issue

tmasterlegends

got that fixed, screen is blurry. read through all of the comments to see if someone had the same proble, saw a discussion about depth of field, messed with that but didnt work. when i go to the settings its blurry as well. almost like i need glasses lol.

Jay Can

The location is right as you enter the badlands, on the main road. Specifically, the time was 7AM - Rainy weather. Right after meeting with Maiko and you and judy are departing. https://streamable.com/8ey4jz here is a video. Best of luck in your development! I'm usually a bit skeptical but this definitely has potential to rival GITS. Another question - how does this play will specific mods like weather? I imagine its incompatible with specific env and LUTS like NOVA and GITS, but just curious.

NextGenDreams

Disable the Depth of Field by pressing arrow down and then go to the ReShade overlay by pressing Home on your keyboard. Make sure your settings in the Add-Ons tab there match the picture above and then press reload or restart the game.

Jared Hole

Is it just me, or are none of the setting photos links working?

NextGenDreams

Just wait a few minutes, sometimes Patreons servers will glitch out, it's happened to me many times!

W3rw

Nothing Changes in terms of Graphic when using the SDR version, have it set as preset in ReShade and adjusted all Settings according to the provided Images, Log gives no errors

matt

when toggling on cube 3d lut - the screen goes black. have to turn off to see screen. why could this be? all other options work in the preset besides cube 3d lut

Dan Clark

nice upgrade, really looks much better on HDR. As you noted the interior scenes in daylight hours are VERY dark, unless you go to a cyberdock. When you get out of the chair suddenly interior lighting is correct and outside is bright. Maybe this can help debug?

Brannon Emery

The game looks pretty insane with this mod and everything cranked up but I wonder if there's a way to play with the DOF settings? It seems a bit random where the blur will show up sometimes but I do like it overall.

NextGenDreams

Hello sir, did you disable frame generation? Also, have you tried to disable DOF completely by pressing ”Arrow Down” on your keyboard? Some people like this better!

NextGenDreams

Thanks for the information sir, I will take a look into this, I’m working on the HDR exposure right now. As a temporary fix you can increase the ”Shadows” parameter in RenoDx and the dark scenes should be easier to navigate at the expense of contrast!

NextGenDreams

Did you extract the DreamPunk 2.0.1 file properly to your game directory? The new ReShade relies on a custom LUT that needs the mod properly installed. Make sure that the ReShade has a proper Texture directory and that DreamPunk_2.0_SDR.cube is placed inside of it. The file should be inside your game installation directory: ”Cyberpunk2077\bin\x64\reshade-shaders\Textures\DreamPunk_2.0_SDR.cube”

NextGenDreams

Hello sir, this indicates that you may have only installed the ReShade and not the mod itself. Make sure that extraction was correct and go over the installation process once again. I can help you in the messages section should it still not work!

JUN0819

Screen whitening bug and stutters have been improved in 2.0.1! The frame rate is much higher and the visuals are great!

scott leslie

The resahde is only allowing me to select ini files so I cant select the DreamPunk.cube file in my game directory, am i doing somthing wrong?

ali ahmet ebrahim mehmet

Everything is running good it’s just the renodx I don’t know how to install it

NextGenDreams

Move the RenoDX file to the Cyberpunk 2077 installation folder. Make sure you have the ReShade with full add-on support and not just the standard version. It’s the bottom alternative on the ReShade site!

NextGenDreams

You’re not supposed to select it in the ReShade installation. The cube will be located in the game folder automatically if you installed the mod properly (not just the ReShade). May I ask what platform you’re on? Steam or GOG?

NextGenDreams

I used the SDR version - YouTube is more suited for it! I updated the mod description with another mod that might help with this issue!

NextGenDreams

Hello sir, sorry for the late reply. This is because you need ReShade with full add-on support. The alternative at the bottom of the reshade.me site!

Oscar Gratton

How did you set up these scene for the photos on this page?

NextGenDreams

Hello sir, I spawned in the cars and drove them there! I also changed the weather to light clouds with Weathermancer and set the time to morning hours 06-09!

Aerevyr Aerysian

Can I use the BodyCam mod along with this? I assume I should use the Reshade .ini included in the BodyCam files rather than this ones Reshade if I do?

Gordon O'Callaghan

Intel 13900K & a 4070Ti - All settings are correct but NPCs still look rather blurry, not as high fidelity as yours.

NextGenDreams

Bodycam carries it’s own installation guide. Follow that instead right now. I’m actually working on updating the Bodycam mod for DP 2.0!

Aerevyr Aerysian

Oh, perfect, good to know! For the DreamPunk 2.0 should I install any other mods such as HD Rework, Nova LUT or anything else? I just want to actually push my GPU rather than do what I have been doing and just playing base games on a 4080 LOL

Oscar Gratton

Thanks! Is there also a way to verify that the mod has installed correctly?

Xavi94

This update looks amazing for me! Thank you bro

Lilevitchi

Is it possible to have a list of all your mods? I can't achieve the same result so some mods are missing. For example I can't drive as fast as you, what are speed mods? What fov do you use with? The blur is much too strong for me, do you have the same settings? THANKS

Strigan

I installed this mod and it really change perception of the game. Real problem i have is path tracing on my RTX 4060TI 8GB. Any recomended settings to achive good FPS with path tracing?

matt

ok so I fixed the cube lut. have to take the .lut file and move it into the textures folder of the native game folder. -- now i loaded the game - i clicked on the DOF toggle and my game crashed. i deleted reshade and the game still is crashing/wont open. how can i fix this?

NextGenDreams

Happy to hear the visuals are okay but sad about the FPS. How many FPS are you seeing right now?

NextGenDreams

Hello Lilevitchi! Speed mods, I do a lot of custom modding for specific purposes. Do you need the one for the bike? I could share it with you! For good driving FOV, try this mod, it's my personal favorite: https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/2202 I'd go with a FOV of 90-95 and then you'll have to tweak the values for each car, comes really handy if you're trying to record something! The DOF varies from scene to scene in the video, the one in the preset is a tweaked DOF for general gameplay. For close up DOF for portraits I'd make it even stronger!

matt

ok i've reinstalled the game and resetup shaders. Ive got the lut and shaders to work just fine. but it feels like graphics are the same, just a color grade. i feel as the mod isnt actually on. where is the actual dreampunk SR file supposed to live? ive added it to the main directly folder as well as ive copied all the contents within sr folder and added into the replica spots within main directory. where do i put sr file? reshade works, graphics mod not

NextGenDreams

This is probably what's happening yes. I will write you a message on here and we can get to the bottom of this!

Mattia Grignani

Hi! The mod looks fantastic, but my game Is stuck in cloudy weather. I tried to change the time, change save file, create a new game but nothing solves the problem. I even tried the Blade Runner easter egg method but it doesn't work either. Any idea?

NextGenDreams

Hello sir, this can happen when modding weathers in Cyberpunk 2077! Have you tried the Weathermancer mod mentioned in the recommended mods? If you set the weather with it - it should override any current weather state!

Mattia Grignani

Yeah, unfortunately. The "set" function works very well, but when I press "reset" it becomes cloudy and never changes. Im kinda desperate at this point.

Lilevitchi

Ah okay :) you adapt the DOF according to the captures. Yes if you can share me the mod for the speed of motorcycles and cars if you have. It's incredible. I will test by modifying the DOF and FOV. I think the result of your video is an accumulation of parameters to achieve this result. You give the keys but we have to adapt on our side. I know it's work, but for example for shooting cars it would be interesting to have a video that shows each parameter and mod activated to have the same result. This gives an idea of how to adapt Reshade. Thanks a lot

niezgi

The mod looks really cool, but it's not suitable for playing due to the very dark lighting inside buildings and uneven lighting overall. However, it's great for promoting content on YouTube and for taking screenshots.

NextGenDreams

While the dark interiors can be problematic, it should still be playable, otherwise I believe that there might be something wrong with the installation. The issue is already described as a known issue in the post. Amplified interior lighting is on the way. Because of how realistic Path Tracing is there's no way to compensate for this without lighting or eye adaption, eye adaption making other scenes very overexposed and not photorealistic as a consequence. You can use a flashlight mod to explore unlit interiors https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/2913 or if you're on HDR you can increase the Shadows in RenoDX to compensate!

niezgi

I'll wait until you fix this issue, and maybe I'll give it a second chance. For now, I'll focus on a good game, though I'm tempted to use a flashlight in those dark areas 😜.

Stefan Radisavljevic

i have a 4090 and get around 50fps with FG on, is this normal?

NextGenDreams

Interesting, I’ve got limited experience with the 7800x3d but it should handle it fine. It’s known that the performance of Path Traced CP2077 is CPU bound currently but I’d be expecting 60-70 fps with FG on depending on the DLSS settings

legday_king

great work on this, looks amazing, do you have plans for more updates?

NextGenDreams

Thank for the feedback sir, yes, there are things I'm working on currently, in particular interior lighting. Is there anything you'd like to see?

Михаил Габеркорн

I have done all the settings but part of my screen is blurry, the blurry part changes when I move. What did I do wrong?

NextGenDreams

Hello sir, is this because of the DOF perhaps? Have you tried disabling it by pressing arrow down on your keyboard?

Samuel Pasteur-Fosse

Works like a charm dude that's awesome! Thanks! Just a last thing, i'm using directionnal key to move so that change the settings all the time is it possible to change the bind key?

NextGenDreams

Yes sir, right click the CinematicDOF shader in the ReShade overlay and you will be prompted to bind another key there. You can also do the same for the other keybind which is for the Black Bars (called Letterbox in ReShade)!

King Rat

hello i did install alternative full add on support but i cant find the HDR settings.

NextGenDreams

Did you install RenoDX properly and ReShade? If so, it should appear when you press "Home" on your keyboard. Try moving the ReShade overlay in case it might have appeared behind the main window.

King Rat

Ok i found the HDR settings, but my game is super super bright

Viro Games

where should i put the renodx file after downloading it? i downloaded it and ran the game but my HDR was the same and nothing came up in my reshade settings.

NextGenDreams

The RenoDX mod should be placed in the installation folder of Cyberpunk 2077. You should move the ”bin” file from the RenoDX download here. Same folder where you placed the contents from DreamPunk_2.0.1_HDR.zip. Also make sure you have the ReShade version with full add-on compatibility and not just the standard version as otherwise RenoDX won't load.

Reuder16633

What weather and location did you use in the car showcase from the video? I just cant seem to get that weather

Alex Crapet

Hello guys, i need help, i can't even interact i have no keys option when i start the game

Jannik

Is it compatible with Ultra Plus better PT? Seems to run as it should with DP2 in my 2 minutes of testing, but im curious if it might break the lightning at some point

NextGenDreams

Hello sir, Ultra Plus should work fine but it’s not needed as DreamPunk got its own Graphics Configuration made specifically for it!

Jannik

i made some comparison screenshots with dreampunk installed - with and without ultra pt (PTNext Extreme). It obviously needs much more performance when enabled, but it gives a good amount of extra detail. Idk I hope the following screenshots can help you in any way. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zoX-sDeMpYGZk9eSVKr60gv51-fs3NRt/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/18uZvKuu6dxLS8AlZST4lW3DvFvyqDYqf/view?usp=sharing PS: Dreampunk looks sick af :) - especially w/ HDR enabled.

NextGenDreams

Thanks for the screens sir! In my experience the benefits from PTNext are overshadowed by the performance hit. The visuals will look very nice in some places but others it's the other way around. In my experience it's better to use any extra performance for DLSSTweaks and force the DLSS to run at a higher resolution as the higher resolution also means more accurate and less noisy Path Tracing https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/7415

Jannik

Totally agree - especially since i dont even get 60 fps with a 4070. with pt20 fast 90 :P

NextGenDreams

It's not even feasible to run it on my rig. But you know, it might be very much playable when the RTX 5090 drops, I'll definitely have to make a new graphics config by then!

Jannik

yea ok the imagie quality is from another world compared to how it looked before. Thanks!

NextGenDreams

Sorry for the really slow reply Lilevitchi, I will write you a message in the morning on Patreon!

NextGenDreams

Sorry for the slow reply sir, do not install any other LUT or weather mods. I'm working on a version of the Bodycam mod right now for DreamPunk 2.0.1. If you want to push your GPU I highly recommend trying out this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/7415 with it you can change the quality of the DLSS. I'd set the Quality DLSS to 0.9 and the Model to C, the game will be a bit laggy but you will see the difference, especially if you're playing in 4K!

Jannik

Just switched to it. Btw --- idk if thats clear already but the darkness-issue in interiors only seems to be present at daytime. I dont even think its just the interiors tho - During the day, some or all shady areas are much less illuminated

Youcef Yousfi

Amazing mod, amazing work for real it s stunning, i got a problem tho , i have to play without DOF cause it get blurry , i have desactivated frame genration etc but it doesnt work ,maybe its the reshade setting since i haven t the same as you on the .jpg but i cant change it , i dont know

Viro Games

thanks, got RenoDX to work, but the actual mod is not working, i put the contents of the ZIP file into CP 2077's installation folder but it simply does not work, the preset on reshade is called "DreamPunk_2.0.1_HDR.ini", this file is located in the /Downloads/DreamPunk_2.0.1_ReShades.ZIP path I cant change it to anything in the games installation folder. What did i screw up?

NextGenDreams

Hello sir, does it get blurry as in the whole screen is just blurry? What does your ReShade settings look like? Please send me a picture in the messages function here on Patreon and I’ll try to assist you!

NextGenDreams

I see, so if you disable it by pressing "Arrow Down" on your keyboard, all of the problems go away?

NextGenDreams

Yes, this is what I'm trying to solve right now, the interiors lights need to be amplified during daytime!

NextGenDreams

Try to extract the ReShade from the .zip to for example your desktop first. Then go ahead and install it with ReShade. Also make sure you moved the contents of the DreamPunk_2.0.1_HDR.zip to the installation folder and not just the DreamPunk_2.0.1_Reshades.zip!

Hornzby Gaming

My game is heavily modded and this caused my game to crash frequently when closing a menu while using ray reconstruction. However, I updated the DLSS file in Cyberpunk to 3.7.0 and used DLSS tweaks to use the E preset, now my game is much more stable and performs much better. Hopefully this can help anyone experiencing a similar issue.

Ian White

Hi, I followed the instructions exactly but Dreampunk 2.0 isn't showing up in the ReShade installer as an option, and also not in game when I hit the Home button. I think your instructions are missing a step, for example what to do with the Dreampunk Reshade 2.0.1 file after download (I put the unzipped config files into my Cyberpunk install folder and on desktop, then ran Reshade installer with addons and still your mod doesn't show up).

NextGenDreams

Hello sir, your question relates to the installation of ReShade specifically correct? If so, just make sure that you select the file that you extracted once you get to the Shaders part of the ReShade setup, there will be a browse button at the bottom where you'll have to select the .ini you extracted. Remember to only use the version that correlates with your monitor type. Do not use SDR if you're using a HDR monitor and playing in HDR vice versa. I hope every other part of the installation process went smoothly and I appreciate you reaching out to ask for help. Please write me a private message on Patreon should there be any more problems!

NextGenDreams

For this monitor I highly suggest you use the SDR version instead. The HDR capabilites of the Odyssey G5 is way below True HDR such as in an OLED monitor as it is not capable of displaying pure Blacks and Whites. This means that the contrast from RenoDX will not work properly, possibly resulting in faulty exposure and tonemapping. I know this because I've had this screen myself. SDR will always look as intended and looks overall better on this monitor.

sam basham

Hi, i followed the install instruction. However, nothing seems to have changed in game bar the Reshade working?

sam basham

I extracted The dreampunk 2.0.1 sdr into the cyberpunk2077 directory manually

NextGenDreams

Okay, and when you say extracted I take it you mean the files inside the .zip? If so that's correct. Are you using any other mods currently? And also where did you extract the DreamPunk_2.0.1_ReShades.zip?

NextGenDreams

Remember to remove the HDR version of DreamPunk from your installation folder -> Cyberpunk 2077\archive\pc\mod and to reinstall the standard version of ReShade instead before installing the SDR version as per the instructions above!

notreya

Yeah so open reshade setup, Select Cyberpunk 2077 from list immediately like - you add the dreampunk reshade.ini file later in this setup process. The instructions are a little unclear if you have never used ReShade before.

Richard

Do you think I should use HDR for an Alienware AW3423DWF? It's a QD-OLED

Роман

"2. Install ReShade from https://reshade.me/ and during the setup select the preset included in the DreamPunk_2.0_ReShade.zip file named "DreamPunk_2.0_SDR"" What exactly do you mean by Setup? When I start reshade, it opens a window with a list of installed games. CyberPunk is not in this list (should it be there?). How exactly should it be selected, via “Browse...” in reshade? Firstly, there are many different files with the name “DreamPunk_2.0_HDR”, and secondly these files are simply not visible when trying to open them. Sorry for my misunderstanding :)

NextGenDreams

Yes Cyberpunk should be in that list. Only .ini files are usable from the ReShade browse, this is the preset file you should use and the one you extracted from the DreamPunk_2.0.1_ReShades.zip!

texanogoober

With my rtx4090 bro it looks sometimes real life, good work. Do you also use this https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/7415

NextGenDreams

In some scenes it's possible to set the DLSS a bit higher but it's not always usable as the fps will go too low, for general gameplay I wouldn't advise it, but on a top tier rig it's definitely a great mod to try

NextGenDreams

Well sir, I think that depends on how much FPS you can sacrifice, try 0.8-1.0 with Model C and see how low FPS you can handle. Game looks crazy on 1.0 but it's hardly playable without FG even with RTX 4090!

Ian White

Hi, so I installed everything and it looks good, I followed all instructions and I'm sure it is working, but it doesn't look anywhere near as good as the video or photos. I have a few thoughts as to why, can you please advise? 1) I have my DLSS Supersampling set to Balance. Could the huge gap in graphics be just this alone? What is ideal setting? 2) I am running 4k and you are running 8k 3) On the Reshader, other than the Reno settings and those settings under Add-on, is there anything else I should be doing on the in-game menu?

NextGenDreams

What is your setup sir? GPU, CPU? Also what is your monitor? I think the biggest culprit should be your DLSS. If you'd really like to see the exact fidelity that I put out in the video you need to push the absolute highest DLSS possible. You can use for example https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/7415 to achieve this. Using for example quality 0.8-1.0 the game will not be playable for most people because Path Tracing in CP2077 is strangely incredibly CPU bound, I cannot emphasize this enough. Nevertheless I strongly recommend playing at the highest possible setting for DLSS if your goal is to prioritize the visuals ahead of fps. It makes a huge difference in the fidelity that you see on your screen. I'd also like to add that the video is recorded in SDR so whatever you watched might look different from what you see in-game. HDR is not always better, it depends on your setup.

Athena, Mother of the Institute

I don't see anything in the reshader downloader that has DreamPunk in it. What were the other mods that you showcased in your latest youtube video

NextGenDreams

Hello Athena, all the required DreamPunk files are at the bottom of this post, please follow the instructions above and download the files you need, if you need anything else, please let me know or write me a message!

any1 else experiencing the constant weather changes? happens like 20 times when driving over the map... sometimes speedswitches from sunny to cloudy an back to sunny in like 2 seconds :o locking the weather with weathermancer would prob fix it but i kinda like the ingame weatherchanges to just happen cause of immersiveness

Viro Games

done everything and the actual mod itself isnt working. this is my first time modding cyberpunk so im realy confused

Raz Koller

Hi! It's a cool mod! Thanks for your work! But I find that sometimes going into places makes everything really bright. Outside areas would be normally lit, like it's late afternoon, but then I go into a building and everything become bright white. Other than that it would be also nice to get a little more colours back. I feel saturation right now is extremely low, or maybe it's the tone, I don't know. But the world seem to be mainly yellow, brown and bright green....

Raz Koller

Ah, wait. This could be due to my HDR settings. I think I got it a bit better now.

NextGenDreams

If anyone else experiences this please comment and it’ll be easier to track this issue down!

NextGenDreams

Hello mr Koller, what monitor are you using currently and have you been able to install everything without any trouble? If you’re using HDR were you able to install RenoDX and able to find all the in-game HDR settings?

Роман

The game is not in the list, but if I try to select via Browse, the DreamPunk[GRAPHICS].ini file is not reflected in the file folder, although it is actually there https://i.ibb.co/vm7DMQg/image-2024-08-23-17-39-46.png

Raz Koller

Hi! I was able to install everything successfully and was following the instructions. My monitor is LG UltraGear 34GN850 Quad HD 34, an ultra-wide monitor. HOWEVER, I have a 3080ti graphics card, so no path tracing for me. I wonder if that has anything to do with it. Anyway, I did manage to make it look better. And also the differences in brightness are more natural now. It seems the tone-mapping midpoint works best for me at around 0.7 or 0.8.

Gabriel Abas

As Always, Amazing mod and amazing work! I only have one question but this is the first time I actually ask in comments. Is it supposed to be really bright during daytime? There's not really any problems performance wise, but I'm wondering if the peak brightness I have for RenoDX is correct? This is because the peak brightness of my monitor is only at 1000 nits so I don't know if the game brightness in the settings of RenoDX should also be 900, same as your settings or if I should lower it? I hope to hear a reply regarding this. Thank you!

Gabriel Abas

If you need my specific monitor, it's Samsung Odyssey G6 G60SD. Thank you again!

Marz N.

Took me a good amount time to set it up 😂 but I’m ready to enjoy the game again

bringthafunk

hi there, Ive downloaded reshade with full add on support but can not find where to select preset "DreamPunk_2.0_HDR

Hornzby Gaming

There was a mod released today that aims to fix HDR exposure adaptation. Not sure if this could give you an idea of how to fix this issue for your mod, but I thought I'd let you know about it incase you can incorporate the method they use. When using your mod, the darks are too dark and the brights are too bright and I still can't find a good balance because of the way eye adaptation works in Cyberpunk. https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/16391

NextGenDreams

Hello sir, thank you for the feedback. This is an interesting solution. I'll see if it can produce results needed for photorealistic tonemapping!

Rogue

I see the potential, but on my 4090 and 4k monitor, my reshade settings do not look the same as yours. There are different resolutions not the same as yours. Not sure what to look for to do it correctly. Thank you for the support and I like the mod so far but the game does not look like yours fully yet. I have not installed the recommended mods so maybe that's why?

NextGenDreams

I recommend installing the recommended mods as these are the ones i personally use in combination with DreamPunk in my videos. Also with your setup I can recommend to tweak your DLSS as well. You can do that by installing this: https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/7415 - just make sure you read the instructions carefully!
