Recently I implemented a few changes to my Patreon subscriptions to better accommodate your needs, though, as a repercussion of this, I've ended up with way less income from Patreon that what I planned. And so I've been struggling to make this work as a full time job because it can't fully support my needs.

This is why I have come to the decision of slowly transitioning into the $5 tier for a regular Patron, and the $3 tier is transitioning for a lower yet not empty way of subscribing.

Starting on next month:
The $3 Tier will be for sketches
The $5 Tier will be for values pieces
The $9 Tier will be for full color pieces

I really need your support to keep doing this regularly, so I would very much appreciate upgrading to these higher tiers!

But there's also good news! I'm announcing that I'll be doing new drawing pools.

At the start of the month each tier will have a tier exclusive post where you can comment your request and after a week i will pick one of the request and doit!

Every tier has their own pool of requests:
The request for the $3 Tier will be a sketch piece
The request for the $5 Tier will be in values piece
The request for the $9 Tier will be a full color piece

As always, I appreciate immensely what you all have done for me so far. I will always be grateful for giving me the chance to entertain you in this way. And as you already know, all content is free eventually!

It's completely understandable dude art isn't an easy thing to make a career

Yeah, this is more than fair, especially since it's more of an advance viewing rather than truly paywalled content. I doubt anyone will have an issue with this.

2023-06-02 08:34:22 You should definitely do whatever you need to do to support yourself. These prices are more than fair for your work. I’ll probably upgrade to the $5 tier soon. If not this month than next month for sure. I always thought $5 was what your patreon SHOULD have cost all along tbh. Unfortunately $9 for a single patreon is waaay to rich for my blood atm. Maybe one day… Love the idea of request polls though. What are the rules for them?

2023-06-02 09:14:25 Ah, I figured it would have been put up to the community for a vote lol. Few other questions though: What are the general do s and don’t s (other than the really obvious stuff)? Is there a text limit for our posts? How creative can we get? How specific? I assume these will only be single images, but can we post requests that could effectively be interpreted as one page comics? Sorry if this is a lot… I just like to know my options for these kind of things.

2023-06-02 15:44:20 Hey Kinky, I’ve got something to run by you. I’m making it a public comment so other patrons can see it and possibly weigh in. So I gave it a good think and crunched some numbers, and I realized that I’ll actually be able to swing for the $9 tier after all. I’ll at least be able to try it for a month or two to see if it’s something I can maintain full time. Problem is, my billing date is after the deadline for the patreon request pools (which are a major factor in my decision to spring for the $9 tier over the $5 tier); and due to the way patreon handles upgrading subs, I likely won’t be able to safely upgrade this month until the 15th or 16th regardless of which higher tier I ended up choosing. Unfortunately, this means I’ll end up missing out on something I’ll have technically payed for. This got me thinking: Do you think it might be worth keeping these first patreon request pools open for the entire month (plus the first week of July) and picking June and July’s winners at the same time? That way, people like me who want to/plan to upgrade but might need to wait a bit before pulling the trigger don’t miss out. Just a suggestion; feel free to disregard. It’d suck to miss out, but it’s not that big a deal. Either way I’ll be there to participate in full come July!

I think it would probably be better to just wait until next month to upgrade. You'll miss out on the first request pools, sure, but there'll be more to come. (Deleted other comment because I think I replied to the main post instead of this one. I am not a smart person.)

To Jo Moestar: I’ll be upgrading on the 15th of this month regardless of if Kinky delays the pools or not. Since my billing date is the 8th I’d miss the monthly pool of whatever month I upgraded on, so I might as well do it asap. I’m only not able to eat the $15 charge ($6 to upgrade before the 8th + $9 on the 8th) this month cause of “special circumstances” that will be resolved by the 15th. Granted, it would still suck to have to get double charged to avoid missing content lol. My main argument is that since some people may need to delay their upgrades, it may be a good idea to extend the length of just this first set of request pools so everyone gets a chance to adjust to the increased prices without missing out on the cool new feature. But, of course, it’s not really a problem if she doesn’t. Missing just one won’t be that big a deal, it’s just kind of unfortunate. Also I’m sure you’re plenty smart. I make comment gaffs all the time too lol. :) To Kinky: If that reply is in response to my comment, thank you. You don’t have to do this, at all, but it would definitely be appreciated.
