Adventurers love chests because a goodly proportion of them hold shiny, shiny treasures. Of course, some chests don’t hold treasure and such chests are often immediately ignored. However, just because a chest isn’t stuffed full of glimmering treasures doesn’t make it boring or irrelevant.

(While this illustration has nothing to do with mundane chest contents, I love it so much I had to post it!)

You can use the mundane contents of a chest to add depth and flavour to your dungeon and world. The things therein can act as a hook into a side quest or even the characters’ next full-blown adventure! Or they can just be interesting.

Add interesting details to your game with Dungeon Dressing: Mundane Chest Contents (in 5e, OSR, Pathfinder 1 and Pathfinder 2 editions).

Where's My Stuff?

As always, by the time you get this you should have a message from me containing the special secret download codes for this week's book. Just drop them into your browser and you should be good to go. If you have any problems, drop me a line and I'll sort it out for you.

As Always…

Thank you so much for your epic support—particularly at this hard time. Your support means the world to me and helps us keep the lights on at Global HQ and pay our freelancers a decent word rate for more than decent work.

We are based in the UK, and we’ve just started a second national lockdown. I hope wherever you are in the world that you are safe and that the pandemic has thus far left you unscathed.

If you have any suggestions for more Raging Swan Press products or articles, please leave a note in the comments.

Good luck with your games!
