Light and Dark! (Patreon)

Espeon & Umbreon are here!

While a Legendary 'mon is still coming this week, I wanted to push these two out early as they are not only fan favorites, but also have amazing sprites, and were lots of fun to make. While both of them have custom hair (make sure you're updated, as usual!), Espeon in particular has a lot of custom materials.

Her ears have a custom Color Mask so that the inner ear matches the blue of her sprite, rather than be pink. Her ribbons also use an overlay for custom color (more pinkish look). 

A behind-the-scenes (literally) look at our girls shows off some additional features. Umbreon with a back tattoo -- she has one additional tattoo that you can find later, wink wink. But take a look at Espeon's tails - not only was her skirt modified to be shorter, waistband removed, and front widened, but I also made a slit for her tail to come out of.

I did the same to her "inner" wear, the purple (it's actually blue, the lighting is different here though) you can see peaking out from under her pink shirt and skirt. The front of the "inner wear" has been shaved down so that more of her chest can be seen, while the back piece has a hole for her tail to peek out of.

Was this necessary?

I like adding these little notes at the bottom, as sort of a mini-update. Anyways, I thought about making Kimono Girls to go alongside these two, as I found some interesting fan-art-sprites online, see here:

While these are certainly cool, I started by making Kimono Girl Zuki and Naoko (the Umbreon/Espeon, respectively), but they weren't coming out as good as I had liked. While I may return to this concept in the future, I didn't feel like delaying this release several hours just for two extra Kimono Girls. Sometimes things like this happen, where it doesn't make it past the cutting room floor, I just don't usually announce "hey look here's some stuff I'm NOT making!" because that sounds weird. 

That said, the sprites are cool enough to showcase here (shout out to ps2105 for the work), and I could always make them in the future, perhaps for an overall update/rework of all Eeveelolutions when all are finished. We shall see!
