Tangled!? (Patreon)

No, not the movie; I mean poor Erika is.. nevermind! Anyways..

Tangela and Tangrowth are finally here! Yes, that's right, our first Gen 4 Pokemon is here! Today was going to be just Tangela, but she looked lonely there all by herself, so I threw in Tangrowth while I was at it. Fortunately, Tangrowth DOES have a Moemon sprite, so it all worked out!

Tangela has some wild hair - and while it technically is SORT of possible to replicate this better in KK, it would take an absurd amount of time, and I have 800+ more Moemon to do! Still, she looks fine to me. Fun fact, but this was honestly the easiest Shiny version to make. Look at her outfit.. it's literally the same thing. So all that had to be changed was the hair color and eye color. And a Shiny card front, but, you know, whatever. Oh, I also changed her Shiny version's skin color to be a bit tanner, to match with..

Tangrowth!

Ever heard the saying, "Never get high off your own supply"? Well, I don't usually get off on my own creations, but Tangrowth is very.. uhh. Nevermind.

Fun fact; I was very close to NOT making Tangrowth, because I honestly didn't know there was a Moemon sprite, but I did some searching over on the Moemon discord and what-do-you-know.. a sprite. Which meant I wouldn't have to spend tons of time trying to do one from scratch, and also had a sprite for her card front, so it all worked out.

Also, why does Tangrowth have, what appears to be, an iron bikini armor in her sprite? I honestly had no idea, at first. However, after some research, I found that Tangrowth has surprisingly high Defense as her base stat..

In fact, her Defense is so high that she's Rank #60!

That may not sound like much, but when you consider there's over a 1,000 different Pokemon (including forms, Megas, etc), that's pretty impressive.

Sure, she doesn't hold a candle to Mega Steelix, but she's no pushover. So, I went into the MaterialEditor with her clothes and cranked the Specular lighting up a tad, so it has reflective properties. Gives it a metallic look, as you can see in the screenshot above. I don't know if that's what the original pixel artist was intending.. but whatever.

It's nothing particularly special. It's not finished, has no special camera-angles or anything, but it does have a battle arena, a Rainbow Badge logo (also visible in the screenshot.. that took minutes to make, you're damn right I'm showing it off), and Erika getting violated by Tangrowth.
