Just so you're aware, Jay... There are actually six episodes left now. Because there are twenty-three episodes in season one. Not twenty-two. Also... I absolutely love your t-shirt!! I love Fusco!! He's such a great character!! Baby Blue- Thank you so much for another great reaction, my friend!!! I really love this episode a lot. I love how in this episode we see Reese so vulnerable and even lose his fight in the end. Yes... he is able to save the baby, but in order to do so, he is forced to give up the address of the safe house where Moretti is being protected and it results in Elias' father getting kidnapped, a good cop and close friend of Carter's getting shot, and Reese and Finch losing an ally in Carter. I really love this, because it shows that Reese and Finch aren't perfect and that they make mistakes too. They do whatever it takes to protect and save those who need to be saved and protected, but sometimes they don't always make the right decisions. They are human after all, and this show is very good at reminding us of this, especially when there are times when Reese is made to look like a superhero because of his skills and how hard he fights. I understand why Reese makes the decision he does when he turns to Elias for help to find Leila and for making a deal with the devil so to speak. Because Reese, even with his and Finch's hacking skills never would have found the men who had Leila in time before she was turned over to the gangsters, which would have resulted in her disappearing for good, or even getting killed or sold off to bad people. Elias on the other hand has connections to all criminals within the underworld. Gangsters, mobsters, organized crime, HR, etc... And then in order to save Leila from Elias, of course John had no choice but to give him the address to the safehouse where Carter and Szymanski had stashed Moretti. While Reese's decision to hope he could trust in Elias was wrong, I still absolutely understand why he does as he does. And you can see that he regrets having done so, even though in the end... Leila is now safe and can live a good happy life with her grandparents who will love her. Sadly, Szymanski is shot, which results in Carter turning her backs on Reese and Finch because a trusted innocent cop and friend of hers was severely wounded, and Moretti is abducted by Scarface and brought to Elias. While I hate that Carter turns her back on our heroes, and feels she can't trust in them any longer. I understand her decision as well. They are all in difficult times. This ending is most certainly bittersweet. In answer to your questions regarding how the HR cop talking to Fusco in the police station knows that Carter is involved... It is a little thin as to how he knew so. I agree with you there. However, if you watch the shooting scene very closely, it's possible that not all of the henchmen trying to kill Moretti actually died in the shootout. Reese most certainly killed the first guy he shoots. However, when he shoots the second guy still wearing a motorcycle helmet, Reese shoots him in the head and the bullet appears to ricochet off the helmet. Then, Carter shoots the female shooter in what appears to be the shoulder. It's possible that the impact of their bullets might have been powerful enough to knock the two shooters both down and likely unconscious, not kill them. So, if one of them survives, then it's possible they might have been able to tell the HR cop at the station Carter was involved in saving Moretti, along with the "Man in the Suit." I do believe that Szymanski is a good cop, because Carter absolutely trusts him. And she's smart, and she's a good judge of character. Leila is an adorable baby and I love seeing both Reese and Finch take care of her such as they do upon Finch taking her from the hospital in order to protect her. There are some pretty funny moments with them as they struggle with doing so. And I love their overall mission to protect the baby from the hired kidnappers, all thanks to the stuck up woman, who cruelly had her husband's mistress killed and Leila kidnapped so that she can be made to disappear in order to save face and protect her "good life". Thankfully, Reese and Finch are able to locate Leila's grandparents, the parents of the mistress so that Leila can be raised by those who will love her. Also... We get to see Fusco really struggle with his own choice placed before him too as he struggles with having to infiltrate HR for Reese and Finch so they can take HR down for good. We have yet to see what choices he'll make. I really like this struggle too. And in regards to the parents' anger towards their son in the beginning... It is sadly simply because he is gay, and if this were to become publicly known, they believe him being gay would have resulted in disgrace for the family name. So foolish and just evil. I hate people who think this way for any reason. Both parents were willing to disown their son for being gay, and the wife was willing to kill an innocent woman and abduct, even kill a poor baby just to save face because her husband was a fool for sleeping with another woman much younger than him. So sad and despicable. Such a great episode. Thank you again for another great reaction, Jay!! Until next time, my friend... Sincerely, Heidi
