This episode was aired on 30 April 2005. A few years after Stargate and it's touching on time travel as well as a lot more realistic looking alien technology. Especially Thor's ship. This robot looks like the old Startrek robots. Edit 2: Remember that girl that was with the evil guys ... for future ... for different series!

The Daleks are a classic series villian. Which pre-date things like Star Trek and Stargate. The design has not been changed much at all. Hence why an egg whisk and plunger are it's main weapons. lol They didn't originally "Elevate!" This was added before the end of the original run. They are basically space nazis rather than a rogue AI. It's a hateful genetically engineered one eyed looking octopus mutated by radiation exposure on their home planet. Stuffed into a tank, designed to be the ultimate killing machine. It's sole reason to exist is to kill anything that is different from it, anything that isn't a Dalek. There are numerous episodes during classic that feature them. They are probably as synonymous with DW and the TARDIS. The Actor who played Adam, now doesn't act anymore after his sexual assault conviction.

Sure it looked like an alien spaceship slammed into Big Ben and crashed into the Thames, 10 Downing Street was destroyed in a missile attack, and several government officials were found dead and skinned. But that was just light from the planet Venus reflecting off of swamp gas. : )
