You might be thinking of dungeons nd dragons. #1 magic is not always the way to go about it to make you friend hang out with you. This has been starlights problem ever since she used magic to inslave everyone just cuz he friend left her. Magic is useful in badass fights no holds bar but not on your friends rd said it best in season 6 when they had that hangover. #2 not really a cliff hanger more like a lead in to the next one. Some of these episodes like the campfire one, the sick zercora and daring do episodes as been hinting at some legends and so does this book

The board game you're thinking of is Fireball Island. I geeked out a little when I saw the episode reference that game. This isn't a spoiler, the book had Star Swirl the Bearded's symbol on it (can't blame you for not recognizing it - we last saw the same symbol on the book Luna had way back in season 3). So the 'cliffhanger' is that Sunburst might now possess some lost book about him. What does that have to do with anything? Guess we'll have to wait and see.
