I love this episode alot. it’s probably in my top 20s. I love it cuz I can relate to both Scoots and rainbow dash. My parents were trash the absolute worse ever. I became and orphan and a nice fam brought me in and inspired me to do everything and to be the best and I love them. As a kid you always have these thoughts oh they don’t like you cuz your upset and a kid but that’s all they is care even when their mad. Also love her parents their probably my second fave. There’s a reason why but can’t say yet. Lol too much. Rd parents are retired and liveing their best life and if anything rd should be visiting them. Also she said they got a good relationship. You gotta understand stuff happen when the cameras not on them. Just cuz they haven’t poped up until 7 years later. That doesn’t mean they never visited or hung out. Low scoots she’s my fave CMC and rainbow is my second fave mane 6. It’s like rarity and sweetie belle I love them together their so nice together same goes for them. Rd did break my heart when she snapped when they said “no one can make their parents feel so worthless than you” ❤️‍🩹 also derpy was the best flyer at some point as shown but year after year her eyes problem got worse. Also I know your reacting but I’m watching you interrupt them talking and missing info and it kind of irritates me but you do you. Love your reaction and have a great day 👍

Yeah this episode is pretty high up in my own personal list. It explains why Rainbow's parents aren't around - she just flat-out doesn't invite them. Ouch! Very good to see the show tackle yet another very sensitive subject in how kids can sometimes feel overwhelmed by their parents, and maybe don't realize until much later that it all came from a place of love. Also fairly tragic to see that Scootaloo never had any kind of support growing up, and never felt like she'd amount to anything. That one cuts pretty deep for some of us, and the question of Scootaloo's parents is something that came up time and time again in the fandom, but wasn't really hinted at until this episode. Poor kid. And lastly, as Silas above mentioned, another tragedy here is how Derpy Hooves was once the strongest flier in Equestria. She took home the #1 spot the first year of the Fliers competition, then took home 2nd place as her eyes became slightly skewed, and she got worse and worse from there as her eye condition worsened. What I think is kind of sweet about this is how she's still smiling proudly regardless of what place she earned, whereas ponies like Spitfire and Lightning Dust look visibly annoyed or upset when they earn lower placements. Good old Derpy was always just a good-hearted pegasus. Well, as I type this, the new My Little Pony: A New Generation film just hit Netflix, so I'm gonna watch that, then I'll watch the next reaction. :)
