You hit the nail on the head during the recap at the end. This episode served multiple purposes: First, we get to see Zipporwhill again. She was last seen way back in Season 4 in the episode "Filli Vanilli" (the one where Fluttershy uses her 'Flutterguy' voice to fill in for Big Mac). During that episode, Fluttershy hired the Ponytones to perform for an animal adoption auction-type thing. This was the episode where Zipporwhill's dad adopted the dog, Ripley, for her. Only, he was just a puppy back then. This does make the passage of time become an interesting thing in the MLP world. Up to this point, it was assumed that not much time passed in between seasons, but this shows us that a puppy had time to grow into a full-grown (and tired), dog between seasons 4 and 7. This is the case despite the Cutie Mark Crusaders looking mostly the same from back then. Long story short, it looks like ponies physically age at a rate slower than the creatures around them. Cue the second purpose of the episode: They still look young, but the Crusaders ARE growing up and maturing. Sweetie Belle isn't into kiddie stuff as much these days. I'd say she's hit the equivalent of maybe a 14 year old. Young enough to be childish sometimes, but old enough to be interested in more grown-up things. It makes sense, since by this time the actresses for the CMC's were around 6 years older than they were when they started the series, and thus sound older as well. And it's a good lesson, too. My own daughter turned 14 last week, and it does feel weird to see her disinterested in things she used to love. But it just means that she can teach me about her new interests and we'll find new ways to spend time together.

Emperor Belos

Again. This showed most overall big stuff are in the begging or the end and some in the middle. Not gonna say much but couple of the episodes relate to the finale. The most continuous story that’s mlp has had for the season was finding the keys for the chest. But this show is mostly gonna be slice of life. A look into the characters life and how their doing sweetie belle is growing up Fluttershy has a animal sanctuary. Rd has something comeing up too
