Yes Aang has done more crazy things like the slides, but he used airbending and the only earth bending used was from Bumi. I completely agree about tough love, but whether or not positive reinforcement working was right doesn't really matter in this case since he's the Avatar and has a shorter amount of time to learn than other avatars have had due to the comet coming.

I just love the parallel storytelling between Aang and Zuko.
