zuko's mom didn't just run away. its explained more what happens in the comics, tho you can also figure it out from this episode if you put certain things together! not sure if me explaining it would count as spoilers though, so i wont get into it also yeah the only time we've seen the fatherlord fight was when he was beating a 13 year old who wasn't even fighting back, which. doesn't really say anything about his skills. so we really have no idea what his actual power level is at this point lol

If the grandfather really did order Zuko's sacrifice, and the mother said "everything I've done, I've done to protect you", after which she disapears at the same time of the grandfather's sudden death, I think there are some heavy implications as to who was responsible.

Love this episode. Has a classic "Western" feel to it. And Zuko is awesome.
