SPOILERS for anyone who hasn’t seen this yet. I loved your reaction! The ending was somewhat controversial in that the creators didn’t originally write the last scenes (back in 1973). It was originally supposed to end with him jumping off the roof, but the executives (I think) didn’t like it ending that way and so made them add the surplus scenes in 1973; very much like the ending of Shawshank Redemption where they ‘added on’ the beach scene so audiences would be “satisfied.” I personally prefer the ambiguous ending, although IMO it was quite clear what he was doing and why he did it; leaving it like that, and letting the audience use their imagination would’ve been better, IMO. Nevertheless, it was fun to see him back with the gang and getting together with Annie. I remember being like “W T actual F” when Morgan revealed his “true identity” and I actually loved that twist. It seemed like you didn’t want it to be that, but I kinda liked it and wouldn’t have minded if it WAS that. That said, I really liked the re-twist (so to speak), it was all a bit of a mind fuck. I remember feeling the same way about LOST, after the episode where Hurley was revealed to be mad and had apparently imagined it all; I would’ve preferred that to have been the ending. I’m not sure why, but in that scene back at Sam’s place with Annie, they changed the background music with some kind of country song. That isn’t the original music. It totally ruined that scene, lol; it was a great scene with the original score, but it lost all its magic with that country song. Bizarre, because it wasn’t even a song in the original, it was just an atmospheric sound which added so much to that scene. Just to say, re what I commented under the last episode: At the very beginning of season 1 episode 2, Sam cuts himself with his razor (when he’s standing in front of the mirror whilst shaving) and we see that he clearly felt a sharp pain. So that also related to the scene in 2006, during the meeting when he failed to notice that he was cutting himself. A small thing, but interesting to realise that’s why that scene was in there. I really hope you can do Ashes to Ashes in the future because you get everything answered in that show. The first season is so-so TBH, I wasn’t feeling it like I did LOM, I can’t really say why without spoilers. Season 2 was excellent though, and season 3 is epic! Whilst you’ve been reacting to this I’ve rewatched seasons 2 and 3 of Ashes and have LOVED it. Anyway, maybe when I can get back to working normally, I could upgrade my Patreon level again in the hope that you’ll do it. As you’ve said though, it’s probably best you take a little break from it as Ashes is also an hour/episode, and there’s 3 seasons too. Finally (sorry about the essay), I want to thank you for reacting to LOM, I loved every minute of it, and was looking forward to it every week. Don’t know what I’m going to do now, I feel like there’s a hole in my life, just like I did after the first time I saw it, haha. Cheers. Edit: sorry if this is posted more than once, any time you include symbols in Patreon comments, the comment gets deleted for some reason, I keep forgetting that.

Maya left him in episode 6 so he's not cheating on her she said she was leaving him at the end of the episode she speaks to him through the baby monitor and she was found otherwise she wouldn't have been there to speak to Sam in his coma. Funny you did remind me of a British laugh track sitcom though from the 90s/2000s called Goodnight Sweetheart about a guy who can time travel between the present and WW2 whilst trying to juggle a wife in each time. Nothing id say react to but it really was a bonkers concept for a sitcom.

I’m late to the party but have enjoyed your reactions to one of my all time favourite TV shows. Roll on Ashes To Ashes.
