This is a video of Carlos N. at work, while he is post-processing Jennifer's tape recording. I published the resulting sound file in my previous post. Looks like magic and witchcraft to me. Thanks Carlos!

There are some serious signs of knowing what he's doing in there. He clearly understands what aging does to tape (and, I suspect, what the original equipment did to the sound in the first place). Seeing experts at work is always fun!
