It's pushback, is what it is. It's one extreme having watched the opposite extreme gain the upper hand and become the new 'norm', they feel under threat, and they're fighting back the only way they know how. Everyone else gets damaged in the crossfire.

It's almost like, it started as alt.fan.furry ? From years ago, when the internet was for discussions...

definitely something to think about, I don't know that I believe I have enough to say anymore to join up, but it is nice to know it exists all the same.

2? You're a total animal necrophile. :)

If I could I would give you such a big hug, bird. Very well said in this video. I really haven't seen these two sides of the furry fandom, the "antifa" side and the supposedly nazi side. Maybe I'm just not as involved as others to have the interactions with people or read the message boards that would show it to me. But one thing is clear: if that's the direction the furry fandom is headed then I don't want any part of it. When I got involved with the fandom, I found a home, a family. For the first time in my life it felt like the world accepted me for who I was, even if that world was just the furry fandom around me. People could be themselves and be overall accepted, it wasn't too political, we were all the same yet all unique, and that unique individuality was supported and celebrated. Differing opinions were discussed, and matters of "I don't like that" were resolved with "I won't look at/listen to that". We were all brought together by our collective love for anthropomorphic cartoon animal characters and the sheer happiness they brought to us in whatever form they were found. There is far too much hate in the world, and much of it is hate for the sake of hate, just to make the haters appear more superior even if only in their own minds. There is far too much banning and silencing of people who someone else declares must be silenced just because they don't like it. We do NOT need such attitudes in the furry fandom. We cannot have free speech unless all speech is free, and that freedom includes the responsibility to know when and where the time is right to discuss objectionable matters. We don't have to talk about our political preferences to share our enjoyment of furry characters. We don't have to talk about our opinions on hot button issues to share our enjoyment of furry artwork. We're here in the furry fandom to simply be furries and make friends with others, whatever their background may be. I want the old furry fandom back and I never want to lose it.
