FINALLY SOME TXT!! They hold a special place in my heart. The album Blue hour got me through some hard times. They are so talented and I hope they come up more often 🥰

Nine Anutza

Kelsea is actually part 1 of a two part project with the collabs being on that project. The other is called ballerini and are the same songs but told differently, like another version of the same story. Also, kelsea and Halsey did a special concert for one of those country ctm crossroads or something and they played their duet, kelsea and Halsey songs together and its really good...I watch those from time to time or whenever comes on shuffle when I'm watching YouTube...

TSO 아포방포

BTS performed their song "Idol" on Jimmy Fallon in the grounds of Gyeongbokgung Palace. The palace is located in northern Seoul and is the largest palace built by the Joseon dynasty. They were wearing traditional Korean attire of "hanbok”.

Ashley Kinney

Love all the Kelsea reactions!

Aryaaaa

You should definitely check out more TXT!! I'd suggest 'Sugar Rush Ride' which is their latest single from their most recent ep 'The Name Chapter Temptation' as well as 'Dear Sputnik' and 'Opening Sequence' (preferably live stages!) They're definitely a group worth paying attention to!!

Iva Morris

Michael: How many more does this man have in him? Jonghyun: Hold my beer

TY to Rose for requesting Love Song. I can't believe it took this long for someone to request it honestly! I was beyond obsessed with it when it came out and had the same reaction you did to the chorus. TXT is a band where I either absolutely love a song or I don't like it at all. No real in between. But the ones I love I listen to constantly.

Kylie aka BallisticGal

Jeff Buckley - hell yeah! A masterclass in lyricism, musicianship, artistry and vocal beauty. My fave of his is "Last Goodbye". Whilst Jeff definitely made "Hallelujah" his own, it's actually a Leonard Cohen song originally. Also, fun fact, one of Matt Corby's influences.

Adam Geiser

“I feel my thoughts run around each evening, but I’m glad I’m feeling” is something that really resonated with me when I heard this tiny desk with Fred again.. for the first time. I feel so many different things when listening to his music. I actually found him through Apple’s New Music Category when he released ‘Actual Life 3’ —which is the third addition of his ‘Actual Life’ series where he takes the clips from his friends or musicians like Delilah from ‘Delilah (pull me out of this)’ that he records throughout a certain time period of his life and creates an album. I’ve never seen anything like it. You’d think of electronic music as something very hype and uplifting, but there are actually tracks from his albums that make me cry when I play them. I was going though a rough period this past month of feeling sad and uneasy about where I am currently in life after comparing where I am to my peers. Ever since this dropped, I have put this Tiny desk on at least one time a week before I went to bed and I cried basically every time, but also I felt a sense of comfort and a ‘it’s going to be okay’ from this tiny desk as well. I suggest to people everything under the sun that has “Fred again..” attached to it, but I’ll list a few things you could check out on your own if you would like: the albums “Actual life 1-3”, “Actual Life Piano Live 1-3” and “Studio Live 1-3” if you like the Actual Life series, these are that but in a live setting, his boiler room set on YouTube, and the Apple Music podcast with Zane Lowe. I’m so glad you liked it! <3

Sandi

Yesss definitely here for the TXT love. Love song was one of my top tracks the year it was released.

Alix Drifty

TXT is awesome. If you wanted to check out their albums, I'd definitely recommend it - I really love it when they lean into the rock-genre like they do in Love Song. Love Song was partially written by RM, btw!!

EB

Yay for some TXT! They are the only other group under BTS’s label, Big Hit Music (under Hybe). I agree with Lisa further up in the comments about their songs - I either love them or don’t care for them at all. They have some great title tracks; and like BTS, a lot of their B sides are amazing. I don’t know a ton about them, but they seem like good, fun guys. They’re headlining Lollapalooza this year, after performing there last year as well. That’s the first song I’ve heard from Paris Paloma. For the “nymph then virgin” lyric - I took it to mean that as women, we have to find that perfect balance of being the seductress and the wide-eyed innocent. We’re expected to be sexual, but not TOO sexual. Sexual, but only in the right situations. Sexual, but only with a specific person/people. Other times, we’re to be the docile lamb. And if we don’t know when to fall into each of these roles then “slut”, “prude”, “loose”, “frigid” are slung. That was just my interpretation based off the context though. That is one of my favorite BTS “Idol” performances! They wore modernized hanbok, and it has been one of my favorite looks on them. Hanbok is usually pretty shapeless, but the way these looks were modernized to emphasize the waist and chest, while still being flowy and elegant, and the layers of patterns and textures in the fabrics? Ooooh I just love these looks!

Heather

Sending you all the good vibes ☀️

I totally feel the same as you bout it, it was my fav song that year, I had on repeat a lot when it came out 😁

Thank you, Rose, for the TXT request! I’ve got a whole playlist of things I’ve been saving if I get into the custom request tier again, and I just put lots of TXT on it 🤭 I’ve had their debut song, Crown, in my head for days now. I’ve been a casual listener for a couple years, but I’ve started listening to full albums, and really like just about every song. 1000% down for you getting to know them better, Michael! Two of the members, Yeonjun and Taehyun were recently on SUGA’s Suchwita, and it was a reminder to me of how hard they’ve been working for years.

mFortyFive

BTS are wearing what looks like a modern fusion/re-imagining of traditional Korean attire called Hanbok (pronounced h + on, b + oak). You can google them to see what they are actually like, and see the inspiration for the design of the clothes they are wearing.

Claudia

BTS and TXT in the same vid makes me happy!

Anonymous

txt are very much underrated in my opinion, you should get in to more stuff by them!

Petra Marie

i just wanted to let you know clinton has been exposed for lying about his parents. i can send you the links if you want.

Caitlin Doran

I’d love for you to check out more TXT please. I love their music and their bsides in particular are so good!

I love the new txt songs of their recent ep The Name Chapter Temptation, i hope for you to react to them more

Labour, oof Labour is such a great song, such powerful lyrics. There is a lot of discourse about this type of thing lately. One of the things is that you mention it being clearly an abusive relationship, but a lot of these relationships aren’t viewed as abusive by society. The weaponised incompetence is such a thing, husbands saying they “don’t know how to work the dishwasher/washing machine”, doing a bad job of cleaning up so it falls on her despite her having a full time job same as him, treating looking after his kids as “babysitting” rather than it just being their dad. Society is terrible for calling a dad looking after his kids amazing when the mum is just doing what she’s supposed to. So for a lot of women, vibing to this song is about feeling the anger and resentment behind the lyrics and the catharsis of speaking up about the injustice of it all

Anastasia Kulikova

Check out Fred Again's albums, they are masterpieces

Samantha

brynn is someone new who is now on my radar, I love her voice so much!! also, Clinton's voice gets me every time, as well as his lyrics!!!

Mariana

BIG THANKS TO YEONTAN FOR REQUESTING COME BACK HOME!!! I absolutely love that song, these are also some of my favorite Jin vocals with that heavenly intro. I had never seen that War of hormone dance practice video before LOL, they are so chaotic, I love them so much. We'll definitely get some chaotic content once they're all back together in 2025. I feel they'll have excessive energy accumulated from the years spent apart. TXT!!! I'm a casual listener but I follow lots of MOAs (their fandom name) and always see clips of them, they seem like another sweet chaotic group of guys and I'm here for that. Oh I LOVED Labour by Paris Paloma, thanks for putting it on my radar. Already added it to a very specific playlist a use as soundtrack when I read Fantasy or Dark Academia :D

Anonymous

I'm really happy you decided to react to TXT. They are BTS's juniors and almost like BTS's younger brothers. They are not only from the same label as BTS (Hybe) but they are actualy from the same company too (Bighit Music). But they have a very distinct sound and they are all very very talented too. "LoveSong (I know I love you)" is my fav title track from them (fun fact: RM from BTS helped write it) and the album that came out with this song, "The Chaos Chapter: Freeze", is still my favorite from them alongside with the album "Minisode 2: Thursday's child". I hope to see more of your reactions to TXT kkkk (And maybe, one day, ONEUS too kkkk)

For the 25th anniversary Seo Taiji (the pronunciation sounds similar to ti-g) had a concert and had bts perform a few times throughout it with him. Kind of a passing the baton on to them. Seo Taiji was part of a group called Seo Taiji and boys and many consider them the first kpop group (one of the members is the founder of yg entertainment aka where blackpink and bigbang and formerly Psy and epik high are from). The majority of their songs (and much of Seo Taiji’s music since) covered important topics and political matters. They changed music in Korea forever and covered many genres. There was a lot of hiphop and rock/mental type influences. Seo Taiji choosing bts was a huge deal. The 25th anniversary concert is soo good. Idk if you’ll ever get a chance to watch it, but I highly recommend. I watched it for bts but was completely blown away by Seo Taiji.

chimelle6

I think you’d really like txt’s discography! Out of 4th gen boy groups their music is by far my favorite (I have thoughts of groups for best music, best performance, most entertaining, etc in the 4th gen game lol). Anyways, I would love to watch you go through their discography. They debuted in 2019 so they have a decent amount out (you know with that kpop release rate lol) but it isn’t too extensive yet. *Teaser to entice you* They have a song called 9 and three quarters. Also, their mv for ‘nap of a star’ is one of my favorite mvs of all time. Tim Burton type vibes.

chimelle6

Bahahaha not Ring Ding Dong!! 🤣🤣 Kpop history right there that brought all the fandoms together. That is such a good performance of theirs! Yes, to Taeyang’s vocals! Now I’m wondering if you’ve seen his return from military service performance? 🤔

2023-07-12 19:55:44 SO, as a full stan, I'm usually here for the BTS content. but I'm also an old, and the way I took five whole pauses when I saw Jeff Buckley on your list. I was totally into the indie music scene in the 90s, and Buckley was such an amazing part of that. He would do these pop-up solo gigs under pseudonyms that all of us were desperate to be lucky enough to see. (I never did.) But the one thing I read that one of his friends wrote a few years after his death still sticks with me. (i'll paraphrase, because i can't find the quote) He said that when we talk about musical genius that dies young we often mourn for what they could have done in the future. Like with Tupac or Cobain or Joplin and so many others, we wonder how much more genius they would have shown as they matured into their talent. But with Jeff, his friend said he put all of his genius out there with every song and every performance, holding nothing back. So instead of mourning his genius cut short, his friend mourns the normal settled life he craved and never got to experience. Something about that just stuck with me, and I thought I'd share. <3

i notice a few previous custom request videos are missing not available, Will they be up in the future. Sorry to ask you to do more busy work but I suddenly feel deprived. Either way just wanting to know.

Oh please check out more of TXT Michael!!! I know you'll love them! I hope you can do an album review sometime! P.s. when BigHit expanded into Hybe(Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe they wanted a parent company to umbrella over their existing artists as well as the future labels they acquired), they separated the original Artists they had(BTS, TXT and a solo artist named Lee Hyun) into BigHit labels so that they could continue to have freedom and control of their own music/careers. P.s 19:14 I believe the voice you really like is Seori's mixed with TXT(I don't know which members tho, I'm not apart of their fandom so I don't know much), she definitely has a beautiful voice!💜 Come Back Home is one of my fav BTS songs!! Jin and JHope's parts kill me every time! Michael, if you get the chance you gotta watch their live performance of this at BTS's 4th Muster! They perform Come Back Home, No More Dream(That's their debut song) and Mic Drop back to back, it's sooooo good!😳🤯🔥 Or just watch the full Muster!!!!🤗 https://archive.org/details/BTSCOMEBACKHOMENOMOREDREAMMICDROP

Any time you see a BTS dance practice video with any type of version name, its going to be chaos and hilarity. Glad you got to check that out!

Lisa Atkinson

Glad to see you appreciate Labour by Paris Paloma. She became sort of a tiktok sensation with this song and it became the anthem for female rage. I believe the line “nymph then a virgin” was referring to the unreal expectations men place on women about sex. Nymph as in nymphomaniac, then a virgin. Men expect a woman to be seductive & experienced but they also want someone with a low body count or the purity of a virgin so it’s a paradox & impossible expectation to live up to. I love that song, Paris is super talented.

Jenna

I was going to comment the exact same thing! :)

Jenna

So glad to see Labour requested, I've also been loving it lately and was wondering if I ever might see a reaction to it!

Daijah

I’d love to see you listen to more of txt one of my fav groups! They have so many good songs ill just list off four. 1. Opening sequence 2. Farewell Neverland 3.cant you see me 4. Frost

I believe in bts idol they were wearing modern hanbok’s it’s a Korean garment worn on special occasions… for example when I was younger I was in a Korean family friends wedding as the flower girl and I was put in a more traditional hanbok but there are different styles (now I’m not 100% sure but they could also be significant to the region an individual is born if not it be a cool idea!)

Alison Eldridge

As amazing as Jeff Buckley sounds on this track, there are dozens more that are at least equally incredible, if not better. Go down that rabbit hole.

2023-11-16 14:23:50 hello! I just returned to patreon and I would like to tell you that as an ARMY I am here for bangtan, BUT txt is a group that I know closely and it is definitely worth giving them a chance. Also, Namjoon participated in writing the song you heard here 😅 so you can see that these two groups are really close (two of the members of txt appeared in SUCHWITA 👀). Anyways, thank you very much for allowing us to meet so many artists through these videos and I will look forward to more BTS content in the future! borahae 💜

I agree with the above comment about nymph than a virgin. Another viewpoint is that they want someone who will fulfill their desires in bed, but they want the “good little sweet wife” when they’re out. That’s part of the religious trauma you gotta get through after getting away from the southern baptists. They want a nymph in private, but you better be a good Christian woman and do what I say when we’re out and act like the innocent virgin.
