Couldn't help but notice they were playing "Re-Offender" by Travis at the end of episode 9. One of my favorites of theirs. I've never seen this show before, but it is reminding me heavily of Veronica Mars. Same era, same channel, loads of high school drama. There are only four seasons and a movie. You might enjoy watching it on the channel sometime.

Omg the first two episodes had me laughing so hard at your reaction to Nathan & Haley because you were sooo against it. I'm glad episode 9 has you turn it around. And believe me there is definitely more unpredictable moments and I can't wait for you & the others who are watching this for the first time to continue seeing them. The messy and drama only continues from here. Keep enjoying! I knew you would love it. It's only going to get better. Can't wait for the next set of episodes!! I've never seen Veronica Mars but thought about watching it. But yeah I miss when WB/CW had shows like this. To me, it was their best time period when it came to their teen drama shows (Gilmore Girls, One Tree Hill, 7th Heaven, Gossip Girl, 90210, etc.).

OH and the reason Lucas got that tattoo was to help the crew be able to cover up Chad Michael Murray's real tattoo because it was getting harder & harder to keep it hidden since he has to wear those short sleeve basketball jerseys.

Brooke and Lucas have such electric chemistry and pulled me right in in the last episode, but I still feel so bad when Peyton shows up at Lucas’s door 😭

Veronica Mars is worth the watch. It is on my "rewatch every year or two" playlist. Kristen Bell was made to play Veronica Mars. Nothing beats WB/CW teen drama.

I was a bit skeptical with the first episode of this show, but I'm so hooked now! I don't know if it's the nostalgia for the shows/movies with this vibe, the music, or the kind of drama, maybe the whole combo; either way I'm really enjoying this show. Nathan still doesn't convince me, and I think it has more to do with me thinking Haley deserves way more. Sometimes I feel the episodes a bit disconnected from one another, like I have no idea where that behavior came from for Brooke, but let's roll with it.

Something I love about this show, and Haley and Nathan is Nathan's character development it wasn't just all of sudden Oh i am a great guy because this girl likes me.. it's a gradual thing his eyes are being open to the bad person he was/is because Haley calls him on his bullshit but while she calls him on it, she also sees what's underneath it all which in turn gives him his opening to fall for her.

Yep, she calls him out on his shit, but also gives him room to make mistakes. He's got way too much going on to just turn it around overnight. At this point, she really has to just take a leap of faith that he genuinely wants to be a better person than he's been and that he's worth it because it's not going to be easy.

I started watching the show with you, I remembered some stuff about it though as my sister used to love it back in the day. I actually cringe watching the Nathan and Haley scenes still, they make me super uncomfortable. I hate when a show forces a relationship to happen and I feel like that a bit with Naley. Forced proximity, illogical reasons for continuing tutoring, women character generally just giving in to a guy for no real reason, Haley liking him so quickly despite not seeing much of them actually talking, Lucas just being okay with it after everything, Nathan just suddenly being genuine etc. It needed to be earned more. It just seems a bit far fetched for me, and knowing the show is trying to make it happen puts me off. It also makes me think Haley is a bit of a shit friend, I would never go out with my best friends bully, no matter how hot he was and because her character is meant to be the good person and loyal friend, it just kind of annoys me. Apart from that relationship which I’m sure will grow on me, I actually love the show!! It’s so juicy and messy and I love it !!!

There is a forced relationship on this show and it's not them. Naley is happening fast because of circumstances. (Also, this show just moves fast.) Haley is obv being set up to be the catalyst that brings these brothers together. Like we start to see in epi 6. Naley at the moment seems more about the brothers than them.
