Patreon Tier Confusion/Input (Patreon)

There seems to be a slight misunderstanding regarding the new Patreon tiers, but I also would like additional input so I can adjust accordingly.

The $15 tier is currently causing confusion, and that's my fault. The previous post and my notes didn't sort properly what I initially had in mind. The term "K-Pop bonus drops" was written vaguely and written in the wrong sections and caused mass confusion for you guys and myself.

The $5 tier gets QUICK bonus drops

(live stages, studio chooms, dance practices, etc.) the only caveat being that this is a lower tier and so other than VARIETY content, these contents will not be scheduled monthly but rather weekly.

What was in the $15 tier was written incorrectly and meant to go in the $20 tier. This is VARIETY bonus drops.

What that means: We are only PROMISING 4 variety bg/gg contents per week, but I love K-Pop and I will always just want to watch more. I have built this habit of not watching variety content when I WANT to (let's say something new comes out like the KStar Next Door with ZB1 and TREASURE) and saving it for the month after.

The Early Access tier will get content whenever it is filmed RANDOMLY, and then the $10 GROUPY tier will receive all those contents in the form of a backlog/access to the archive the following month.

The $15 tier is for the few people who come through wanting to support us with an additional $5 or so. So basically the $15 tier is the same as the $10.

So I'd like to make it clear that the $15 tier AND the $20 tier are purely optional going forward and are for early access, additional support, or non-reaction content.

regarding the backlog/archive will there be a main post or something made available so people can see what links are working before subscribing?

1. Will you have an organized list of the backlog/archive? 2. Will you make that list available publicly (and very easily accessible/searchable) so people can gauge their subscription level of commitment? 3. Can you guarantee that said backlog/archive will be available and not be deadlinks/removed videos?

Fixing the archive should be a priority. I wouldn't have asked for a refund for December if I had access to the backlog. There were plenty of old reactions that would have made me feel like I could get my $10 worth, but all of the ones I wanted to watch were dead links.

I have a doubt, I know we are not gonna get a schedule in terms of for example saying on January 19th we will upload going seventeen. But are we still getting like a list of what we can expect for the month? Whether everything drops the same day/week? Or at the beginning or end of month? For example this month we have going seventeen, to do txt, and moving ep 5-6; and PD uploads when he wants ?

I feel like PD should limit variety content to a selected amount of his favourite BG and GG. (lets say 10 groups in total) and could still react to mvs and stuff or any catchy stuff a group not in the list drops ecery now and then. And also limit how many dramas pd would cover at a time along with anime. I feel like trying to cover soo much in a month and making promises which are close to impossible to fulfill on schedule is what drives us followers a bit mad. Thus having a limit sound like the solution to me . Its just my personal opinion.

Lets say take into account the most in demand groups by us followers which also align with pd taste in music and make a final decision as i mentioned above. That way pd can keep most of us satisfied with content and still get time to take a break each month. Also limit how many ep of each variety show will be covered in a month. I think 2 days for each variety is totally fine.

And beleive it or not not every single kpop group have variety content on the same level as the other. So its fine being picky. As long as you get back to those groups in some form, whether through eunchaes star diary or idol human theatre or KStar next door. These shows can remain regulars as they will eventually allow coverage of almost all well known groups and even rookies.

The launch of the "Master Archive" was on the schedule for September of this year, but of course it was delayed. Since then, we've gotten piecemeal fixes for some of the backlog for bigger groups, but no other acknowledgement. It sounded like there were issues with the video hosting that were complicated, but a big part of why I subscribed was to access old content, so it was pretty shocking when most of it was inaccessible. I believed all of reassurances it would be fixed, but it hasn't happened yet. PD, please be transparent about the situation with old content to new subscribers. It's not fair otherwise.

guys if you need a third party site to upload your videos, you should try streamable! I’ve seen ppl use it and works good, you can check their prices and see if it works for you

I going to keep bringing this up until I see some improvement, But I really wish you guys would just prioritize Kulture Study and LPs (which a lot of us are here for) with a minimal list of unscheduled variety, live stages, drama etc. sprinkled in. I think y'all have good intentions and want to give us plenty of content, but just try to do too much and have strayed from what even made this Patreon possible in the first place. I'm at my breaking point, but will stick around for January but that's the last chance.

Personally, I think there is nothing wrong with reacting to the dramas, anime’s, and whatever else that isn’t Kulture study and LPs. I think it would be better to spread it out more instead of overpromising for whatever month. I first came here for Kpop because that was all that was mainly offered, but after you added dramas and anime, I’m sticking here awhile because I’m a drama and anime nerd as well. So I’m not complaining about the amount of dramas and anime content you have. Rather I don’t want it to be cut down as much as others say because I want to get my money’s worth as well as I’m paying and will continue to pay the $20 tier despite being a student with only one part time job (but having school breaks in between so it’s not a consistent flow of money coming in). Sure I’m probably in the minority group because I’m here for both Kpop and drama/anime but I still think the minority should also get a say in things as it pertains to paying for content even though you can’t satisfy everyone. But PD, I still hope you pace yourself so you’re working style can become sustainable and so you can sustain yourself too and consider the sustainability of others

I'm not able to watch any of the dramas (for example: it's showing that Moving ep 5 is available for me to watch, but episodes 1-4 are locked and is telling me to upgrade to $15 tier) and I've signed up for the $10 tier. Is this correct, is something wrong. Because from this drop, the $15 and $10 should be no different correct?
