I think what Yul means by it being his responsibility is that in the previous episode Jang Uk told Yul not to feel guilty about naksu's death because it was his responsibility, since he was the first one to find out that Mudeok was naksu. In this case now in season two Yul is the one who finds out first that buyeon is naksu, so that's why Yul says that now it's his responsibility and therefore he won't say anything to Jang Uk so that he wont suffer and feel responsible in case something happens again

I also never really had strong caring feelings for So-i. But I definitely teared up a bit the first time seeing that happen to her at the end here. I think it’s just a really tragic sort of ending for her. And it makes me feel badly for Yul too, who was hoping to at least be comforted in knowing he could protect her in the end. But he unfortunately wasn’t able to.

This was definitely very traumatic for us all who watched in real time.. I also don't understand Yul's motivation and if he really intended to kill Naksu and himself (I legit cannot remember) so I'm also eagerly waiting to find out the resolution to that. And I'm also waiting for Naksu to get all her memories back and for Jang Uk to properly reunite with her! This is torture haha

New patreon commenting to a super old video, hello 👋 In the scene where Seo Yul and Jang Uk talk on the bridge, Seo Yul tells him he has two kinds of dreams about Naksu. Ones where she stabs him and ones where he stabs her. The series then shows us those are not nightmares at all, but daymares, caused by the surging of the blood parasite. I do genuinely feel Yul thought to go the route of the daymares, as his guilt is partly over not doing his duty the first he learned Mudeok was a soul shifter. Mudeok killed his best friend because she was a soul shifter Yul allowed to go unchecked. I don't believe for a second that had he been allowed to have the opportunity, that he would've gone through with it. He was never able to harm anyone defenceless. What i want to know, that i never found out, is why did Yul come back? Was his last business just to say goodbye to everyone, because if it was that, well, that's just lame. I like your interpretation of him wanting to go after Jin Mu, using his illness as an excuse to be reckless, but if that's it, Soi sure robbed us of good things. The only reason to like her sasaeng ass is that she did genuinely want to save Yul. Minhyun sings the second season's version of his theme song, and it's from Yul's pov. It's gorgeous.
