i think the day this came out was the happiest day of my life. FINALLY zhang hao getting the first place center treatment he deserves. hao is just perfect and he blows me away when he just excels at everything. also when u said lee mujin was pulling out the extra stops bc of hao it made me laugh bc when this came out everyone was talking about how mujin fell for hao here 😭 he loved having hao on the show and even kept a picture of them as his twitter header even after having other episodes come out with different idols. it was amazing to see hao come to a show that treated him so well and made him feel do welcome <3

For me it's so interesting that you describe Hao's voice in Taeyeon's Rain almost exactly the same way you described Hanbin's dancing for INVU - being a mixture of male and female without being gender neutral. But I agree 100%! Zerobaseone as a group and the members as individuals hold so much potential, I cannot wait.

Hao is a massive kpop fan in general, and especially girl groups. Like he was talking about dreamcatcher's OOTD the day it released + he knows like every choreo ever. Then combined with his musical training? Yeah he took So Bad and made it something completely unique, and it's one of my fave covers ever I think of this Lee Mujin as a speed run on how to fall in love with Hao - even the staff were totally endeared and giggling with him (lol I wrote this before the end of your vid where you said the exact same thing!). His ridiculous vocal abilities (technically strong, but also his dynamics and emotions and unique touch), his natural flirtiness, his adorable side, his quirky ass self. Regarding how he sounds live yet perfect, I think it's also partly because the vocal processing on ZB1 songs tends to thin his voice out a bit, and so whenever he sings live there's just a rich fullness to it that just can't be matched. But absolutely he conveys emotions in his voice wonderfully I hope you have time to review their MAMA collab stages (the opening stage with Hao, and a Yoshiki collab with Yujin) and performance, as well as their MMA performance! They've been absolutely killing it. I found your discussion on ripple effects so interesting, because I definitely think it's true. ZB1 in general consists of MASSIVE kpop fans - watch them react to shinee's mma stage - and I think that feeds into both how they perform and how they act in variety, and it's truly something new and fresh to me.

its always a pleasure to listen to Chinese idols on LeeMujin, you can tell they really focus primarily on singing and they love ballads/ r&b. Also absolutely love how they like to make pop songs instead more emotional hits you right in the feels

OMG, I was hoping you guys would react to this! I was so happy when this episode came out. Zhang Hao did amazing. I'm excited to see how much he grows as a singer. He is really good at covering girl groups in both singing and dancing. I really hope you guys get to check out some of his predebut dance videos, because damn is he good. Also, I can't wait for the award show reactions in January. I really hope you guys watch the collaboration stages from MAMA. Zhang Hao and Yujin both performed on different stages and they were incredible. I cried watching the Endless Rain stage.

I think the scouting through social media thing is becoming more and more common especially with kids these days having a huge and easily accessible digital footprint, many other members of zb1 (gunwook, yujin, ricky etc.) have also mentioned being scouted through their social medias. I forgot which youtube show it was (I think ssuply?) where they toured an entertainment company and one of the staff there was looking through sns profiles of teenagers to cast them.

yall should really watch the recording behind the scenes of Crush! They were given the direction to make the last chorus of Crush emotional (taerae, matthew, hanbin, and hao) and they delivered. The part of you guys talking about haos ability to be emotional and remain technical shows there. Is throat was in amazing condition.

Zb1 as a group works WAY too well to be a temporary group. And I don't even mean talent-wise, although that's amazing as well. Their chemistry together is outstanding. You can just tell how much love they have for one another when they look at each other. Hell, taerae just admitted that while he was having a hard time, he wrote a song about matthew and how his smile brings tears to his eyes🥲. The only other group I used to stan was BTS. When I look at ZB1, I see the type of synergy that BTS has, and I just hate to see it let go.

Yea I think it was Key’s episode at SM entertainment. Shotaro was through TikTok and IG for some Riize members. Still funny and good for students to think the DM it’s a scam for safety, until the company is forced to literally go in your town to convince you to join.

One of best vocalists of the new gen. Reminds me of the great SM singers. Great to see Chinese idols be successful in South Korea again after a tough few years.
