gracecitrus

omg i’ve been waiting

izzy

beomgyu and happily ever after is still making me sad

Serena

i love this album so much 😭

aylin

thank you for this reaction i feel like we have been waiting for sooo long lol. i agree that this album is just insane, the members vocals sound so crazy crazy good im super proud of them. i honestly wouldn't call this a pop album, that kinda cuts it down to being one genre or generally same sounding songs, which this album very much isn't. its soo much deeper than that and in true txt fashion there are so many different genres present in this one album, no one song sounds like the other. it's so impressive. also, i personally prefer the korean version of the title track but was really pleasantly surprised by how good the english version is, because those can be tricky sometimes. but both versions feel very different to me as the english lyrics seem to be talking about a completely different topic, so the korean one feels more txt to me ig? i definitely loved all the songs on this album and think that the quality of their discography just continues rising. i hope you can see txt live soon pd, theyre doing a concert in seoul in december if you didnt know already!!

Nataly Granda

Thank youuuuuuu, I am so excited about you saying they just made a new standard of their self in music in general, not just kpop. I can't wait to see what is coming for TXT next, I love them so much, and they deserve each win and award they could get <3

gracecitrus

i agree about the korean version of feeling more txt, i think maybe bc the lyrics feel more closely related to the lore than in the english version

Nataly Granda

I hope you could be able to watch Chasing that feeling and Back for more performances for music shows, I love them :)

2023-10-31 22:55:58 Very long comment ahead! I think it's funny that, in their most western influenced album, they have their most Korean sounding song (Skipping Stones) which is, also, the first song without a single English word in the lyrics 😂. I also LOVE the English version of Chasing That Feeling. I'm obsessed with the line "time's a thief that keeps on stealing", i think it's one of my favourites out of their entire discography. They have grown so much vocally since they started touring that it's almost hard to believe it. In this album it's very obvious in Hueningkai's case. He's grown much more confident of his head voice and his developing a beautiful and tasteful way of using his entire register. Yeonjun is just perfect, if you watch their behind the scenes videos of the recording sessions (i highly recommend you do it, it's in their Youtube channel) he sounds like he's already compressed when he sings live. Soobin... i just love that man. I've studied music and i've sung semi-professionally for quite a lot of years and i've rarely seen anyone as fast as him as picking up inputs. He knows his voice perfectly and can adjust to absolutely everything the producers ask of him with millimetric precision. I honestly think he's a bit underrated by the casual listeners (and some fans too), but i've been saying it since Lovesong: he's a power vocalist. You know how Taehyun is very obviously an amazing singer and everyone notices it? How he knows every technique, every twist of his own voice. How he has a very wide range and has mastered the placement of his voice in his entire registar... Soobin does it too, it's just that it's not that obvious! From the vocal technique pov i'm equally amazed by both Taehyun and Soobin and by how versatile they are. And my boy Beomgyu! He's gotten some STELLAR moments in this album. And he's still probably the most chameleonic member of the group, he can transform his voice on command and adapt to the song to the point of being unrecognizable. I think some fans get mad at him not getting enough lines because sometimes they simply can't recognize his voice! He has the little "handicap" of having the deepest voice of the group which, combined with the fact that pop music is written in an extremely high pitch, makes it a bit harder to find him a place in some songs (like Happyly Ever After, in which he has fewer lines than some of the other members), but he SHINES in songs like Dreamer, Skipping Stones, Growing Pain and Deep Down. I got this feeling on release day and i still feel the same today: i think this is TXT's best album. It has the perfect balance of being concept-driven, but still not jeopardizing the music for the lore. It has very western influenced songs but they also know how to twist the genres to imprint their personality on each and every song and make them sound TXT-like. They keep evolving and improving, even when it feels like their reaching the limit of their abilities. And you know the best part of it all? That they will top it with their next album, as they always do. And boy am i excited to be here for that as well. For now, i'll keep chasing that feeling!

The album is amazing, but I can't listen to Happily ever after without getting mad... Beomgyu has no lines in that song...

Dryyym You

Rock mafia actually have their own pretty famous song “ The Big Bang” , I am sure everybody heard this song eventually 😄

I LOVE this album. I agree it’s by far their best album. I always say this but I truly do not know how they will top this album. It’s just too good. I enjoy both versions of Chasing That Feeling. The Korean one is for sure lyrically based on their lore which I love but the English version, they made it relatable. “Times a thief that keeps on stealing” man that line is just so true. Combine that with the reference to their debut “Summer 19” and how they hardly had any time to promote before Covid happened. The song almost hurts with how real it is. This album is also physically beautiful. It’s by far has my favorite concepts and I love the design of the album as well. Honestly this album is perfect. PD I hope you took a chance to look at the composer/lyricist for the album. The members have writing credits (as they all do since TDC Magic) all over it. I know you talk about the producers but please take a chance to look at TXT’s credits. They were super involved in this album.

I've been waiting for your reaction on this album. Yes this is their best album. The growth not just their singing ability but also in writting; both lyrics and melody -- in Beomgyu's case is his producing skill. FYI, you have listened to Blue Spring during their Lollapalooza 2023 performance. This is the one song I've beenwanting them to release in all digital platform since day 1 they sing it which was TXT Act Sweet Mirage Concert Seoul Day 1 which was in March. I'm so happy they released it in this album. Dreamer in my opinion is that MOTHER when it comes to TXT's vocal. This song is now become my safe haven. Chasing That Feeling English ver in my opinion is biggest contender to be the title track, but then again, they already pre-release Back For More and Do It Like That full English. Lyrically I love the English version which just like many moa said, it remind us about life before Covid19 pandemic.

He has! You should watch their performance during the comeback showcase too see which parts he sings! 😊

angel313

they gave him taehyuns line in the showcase, hes not credited as singing in the credits of the song

2023-11-02 18:26:04 I've been waiting for this! Completely agree about Chasing That Feeling MV. When I first watched it, it gave me the illusion that the song was a bit bland, but when I watched it a second time I realized it was the mv itself, the way it's filmed that doesn't not capture the energy of the song, especially in comparison to korean mvs that really have dynamic camera work and are so creative. Watching the stage version with the choreo, I enjoyed the song so much more.

They gave him ONE SINGLE LINE for the performance during the comeback showcase which was originally sang by Taehyun.. also regarding your previous comment saying that some MOAs “simply can’t recognize Beomgyu’s voice,” no offense but all I want to say is that we can most definitely recognize his voice after all these years. IF it indeed is him singing in the audio version, then it’s BigHit’s sound engineering’s problem to tune his voice to the extent where fans can only hear Taehyun’s voice who has a completely different vocal tone instead of Beomgyu. @Oscar G.

aylin

im back here and i know no ones going to see this probably but i wish pd talked more about each song and how he liked them 😭 and maybe did a ranking of all the songs or told us his favourites...

aileen

WAIT WAIT WAIT PD- YOU HAVEN'T HEARD NECTAR???? It was part of the NCT Resonance pt1 album!! They even had a performance video!

Jodi Wong

i agree 😭 i was waiting for pd to pause and talk about the song like other listening parties i’ve watched but it felt like he just went through the songs so quickly 🥹

Alison Renaud

I totally agree with the English version being so much better and I've NEVER had that happen before.

Mel

True. This listening party was completely rushed and done with less effort apparently comparing to previous listening parties since PD messed up October schedule and this also came out wayyyyy later than what he originally promised. I thought I was the only one who felt this way but guess I’m not..

J

Is the listening party for TXT The Dream Chapter Magic missing? I can't find it 😥
