Still not sure if ozawa comes back but in the manga it goes from the end of jjk: premature death heavy stuff to this light fluffy chapter so it makes sense to me like a lot of mangakas do that to cleanse the palette or just give a break before the next arc

Idk if the author meant this but knowing their thorough thought processes so far I could see them doing this on purpose: having the parallels of body image and the value of body aesthetic in each half of the episode—it’s clear that mechamaru has always despised his body and he wants to be “better” for Miwa to like him but he’s putting that expectation onto himself like I do get the hindrance of having to be hooked up to stuff but he could’ve had Miwa and everyone from Kyoto still see him in person but he already made the decision for them that they’ll judge him for essentially being hospital bed bound and he chooses the self-loathing side as opposed to Ozawa’s journey !!! INTERESTING THINGS IN THIS WRITING

I love how junpei and riko have made us all afraid when a new cute innocent character gets introduced lmaooo, and omg we're just getting started, prepare pd and blaire, i literally had to take breaks reading the manga cause it was just too much for me to handle, i'm so hyped!!!

Between this and Weak Hero Class my fragile heart is in pieces (I've been reading the manga coz I have no patience). But seriously the animation and direction this season is soooo good. I already loved season 1 but s2 is on another level. Also side note I absolutely love Nobara and I need her as my wingwoman. She's such a good - dare I say it?- 'strong female character' lol. A truly mental yet endearing weirdo who holds her own when it's time to fight even though she's not crazy over-powered as some of the other characters. Also Mechamaru really had it tough. Apparently, he has no right arm, no feeling below the waist and has sensitive skin that cant be exposed to sunlight. Like damn. I get why he decided to make a deal with the devil. The mangaka does such a great job of making us understand the motivations behind the character's actions even though you can't agree with them based on your own moral compass (such as Geto previously).
