There is a good reason (beyond his very wealthy background) that czennies and the members have referred to Chenle as President. He's got an air of nothing phases him bc of his own self-confidence. I do wish he got to do Mental Training Camp though bc while he presents himself as cutting and honest, it's been mentioned by members how he's not as forthright about how he's doing.

I love how you can tell that Chenle came from a wealthy background just from the way he performs🤣🤣🤣 His nickname was literally president chenle or CEO Chenle. Before debuting in nct he had a solo concert that his family organized just so that they can keep that moment of his life a memory. Love the ending discussion on the individual members and their personalities. A funny thing that you touched on with regards to how NCT Dream feels like a place where the members can go back to and be kids - Chenle once mentioned in bubble or something that, individually, the members are very normal and mature adults outside of their group, but somehow when they're all together they devolve into toddlers. It's especially evident when you watch their instagram lives during the tour and the comeback lives. They wander off topic so often and straight up start arguing in front of the camera. It's always a whole journey from start to finish because of how many conversational detours they take. So yes, we do see a whole other side to the dreamies whenever they're together and it's how they've maintained that youthful vibe even though they're in their twenties at this point. The all the members of the new Japan NCT unit are either the same age or younger than Jisung, so even though he's still the youngest in Dream, it may be interesting to see what it's like when he's not the youngest. Mark, on the other hand, has been in so many positions in different groups. It's also why he's never lived in the dorms (other than sleepovers to make some promotions easier), as soon as he got into SM he debuted with barely 2 months of training, so his parents bought a house in Korea and his mom stayed with him until he became an adult and could live there on his own. It's not just because he has money but the members usually 127 and MCs refer to him as "President Chenle" I'm sure the money is a part of it, but because he also tends to be very giving and generous. Even before the group started making serious money like they do now, he always got the members gifts, not to like show off but because I think its his love language. The members always talk about how they receive gifts from him on special occasions like when Renjun, Haechan, Jeno, and Jaemin became adults he gifted all 4 of them watches to congratulate them. He also tends to cook for the members a lot and after he debuted his mom would always make him home-cooked meals and he would always save some to take to Renjun who missed home and his family. Not even NCT as a whole but the youngest in the entire company, so when you think about it he's been the youngest for 10 years and it's definitely shaped his personality. Like when you see TVXQ, EXO, SHINEE, Red Velvet, etc. they all treat him as a cute baby like maybe not baby but like a cute little brother who can do no wrong lol.
