I really really love TXT & Anitta’s VMA’s Performance. Lucky lucky Yeonjun to be able to spend his super fun Birthday weekend at the VMAs, debuting a new song with his members of TXT and perform at the VMA, and also TXT winning the 2023 MTV VMA Award for Push Performance of the Year. Then finishing their VMA experience with Anitta at her after party. TXT & Stray Kids hands down the best performances of the night.

Just amazed how they were LIVE LIVE! Really glad that kpop artists are bringing their performances to US bec honestly most US artists are just getting lazy with fixing their performances and it gets sloppy 😅 PD please check out the dance practice! They were supposed to perform it with stairs but unfortunately had to remove is last minute hence the members were kinda nervous about it

Straykids and Shakiras stage were really good to you should check them out!!! Also if you watch like behind the scenes of Annita and TXT interactions of practicing they REALLY make her look short LOL!!!

Anitta and TXT really became close! She flew out to Korea for the music video and we have seen some clips of them hanging out and introducing their different cultures. It’s been really lovely to see. Also her fans have been soooo nice! We have had streaming parties on stationhead where we would alternate between Anitta and TXT songs and both sides have found new music that we get to listen too. Seriously this has been the BEST collab experience. We have been having soooo much fun and seeing how well Anitta have been treating our boys have been such a treat. She seems like such a lovely person.

I have to point out that i like the remix of this stage a bit better than the original track, ‘cause here you can hear better that when Anitta enters the beat changes to our Brazilian funk, which is her main style, so the collab actually paid homage to both of the artists usual sound. As a brazilian, this collab was SO UNEXPECTED, but it was SO AWESOME, it was very special of them to perform like that on the VMAs, just amazing ❤️❤️❤️ Also, curious to know PD’s and other people favorite old VMAs favorite performance (mine still is 2004 Britney)

i do genuinely think that the only way the VMA's can have that star-factor again is to invite more international artists. This includes Kpop, but even more than that. Anitta is a great example (she's Brazilian but her stage presence and work ethic is insane), Bad Bunny (they invited him last year but he was holding a concert at the same time), just...artists outside of America that have had to work harder for recognition and global fame and because of that, are able to pull off phenomenal performances. The VMAs losing their stardom has actually been a hot topic for a while now. And the only explanation is that household names (Rihanna, Beyonce, Chris Brown, Dua Lipa, etc) stopped performing there, but there weren't any new talents to replace them. Unlike Kpop, where in each new generation there are a few ~cut above the rest idol groups~ (to put it nicely) there haven't been any new American breakouts except for Lil Nas X, Olivia Rodrigo and Ice Spice. As I much as I love them, those three alone are not enough to bring in a new wave of pop music. There's like NO new breakout artists nowadays and the award shows are the effect of that.

Anitta is from Brazil. She is veryyy famous in Latin America, sheee is soo good, she actually dances a lot in her own songs and she is frankly a queen. I think this collaboration it’s amazing, it fits both anitta and txt soo well.

This stage reminded me of Halsey & BTS stage on BBMAs (if im correct), they were having fun and had great chemistry as well. It happens when both parties respect each other AND each other's music. There are so many collabs on kpop, where global part of the collab is seemingly not want to be on stage with the others. It really gives away from the whole experience. I applaud for BH for their collab choices so far. (Except ON ft Sia. Wth was that seriously...)
