The manga is incredible and they did such a good job adapting it, but yes yes it is that insane like it’s still considered a slice of life comedy, but the author loves going ham out of nowhere for certain arcs LIKE HOW DID THIS BECOME A SPORTS ANIME AGAIN!!! YOUD THINK ITD BE DONE AFTER THE DODGEBALL EP BUT ITS BACK FOR MORE LMAO, the author is just clearly such a fan of manga/anime and loves to draw from those shounen references
