Yayy as a huge exol I’m so glad you enjoyed their killing voice!! Your comments about baekhyun are really interesting cause I think he’s actually one of the most popular members in exo and even though he might not always get the big flashy moment like chen he does a lot of ad-libs which I love. But that might just be cause I’ve been listening to them for a while haha. I also agree that you should check out baekhyun’s bambi album and D.O’s empathy album! Not sure if you’re into ballads/slower songs but I’d also recommend chen’s other albums. I know you said you checked out one but I love all his music. It’s so comforting and soothing especially after a long day. His most recent korean one has a bit more variety and his japanese one is completely different! For EXO stages, I’d recommend anything from their EXO Planet 4 - ElyXion concert cause that whole concert is amazing. I especially love the opening set, the bar scene set, and the ending set! D.O is my EXO bias for many reasons including but not limited to: his incredible voice, his unapologetic introversion, his phenomenal acting skills, his dedication to the group despite his crazy filming schedules, and being a better dancer than I thought. I just rewatched Swing Kids this past weekend and, I've seen A LOT of dance movies, but that Modern Love sequence should be in the TOP 5 cinematic dance performances of all time. 👩‍🍳💋👌🤩 This (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_4r9X6xt_P4) LMR stage is probably my favorite EXO performance because right at the beginning, during his "Oh yeah~, come on" adlib he's CLEARLY, GENUINELY smiling and enjoying the performance. It's a joy to behold. I do recommend checking out at least his official solo debut album Empathy, and his SM station tracks, too, if you've got the time.

listen I love D.O's voice so much, I sometimes randomly think by myself if only he was not in the army when they recorded the whole Obsession album.. HE WOULD HAVE KILLED THAT SHIT LMAO. (that album is already so so good omg)

You should consider a series where you go back and listen to songs you missed when you weren't into kpop as much. I know youv'e said in the past that there was a period where you didn't listen to kpop and that there was an era in SM songs that you just didn't like at that point. Maybe a throwback series to give things a second chance or first listen if you missed it entirely.

Your entire life will change when you listen to Baekhyuns Bambi album. Hes meant to be a soloist. Hes amazing in EXO and honestly the voice i recognized first and the most. BUT.....his solo stuff is literally STUNNING. Bambi is pure art, and Cry for Love and All I Got.....fucking hell those songs are life changing!! I would greatly appreciate a listening party for Bambi album it gives me chills!!

yeah in-terms of the mistreatment i remember years ago that a member of staff was caught on camera hitting what looked to be baekhyun and tao pretty recently spoke about having to share the bare minimum of food between them and being crammed into the same dorm. as others have mentioned kyungsoo is really introverted but he’s much more expressive during their tours as the boys constantly wind each-other up. also, he struggles a lot with his eye-sight, so that also might play into it because without his glasses the guy can’t see shit. (everyone but if you really want to see chenbaeksoo go wild you should check out the wolf remix, it got everyone to give wolf a second chance.

its very interesting to me that you think baekhyun gets drowned out next to chen. as someone who has been into exo since exo-m and exo-k were a thing, i think when you look at exo's vocalists and how they are set up, it may help a bit. chen and baekhyun were parallels to each other, and then d.o. and luhan were. you can tell by how they share lines the most. i would say that chen and d.o. had that powerful voice quality, while baekhyun and luhan were more airy and light in comparison. either way, the two of them were never supposed to "compete" in exo's music, since sm had likely always wanted exo-m and exo-k to be separate. so it's interesting to me looking at how exo is currently formulated with two (or three, if you count lay) members who weren't even supposed to be singing with the other six members, at least not often. i would recommend wolf for this reason! a lot of the fandom hates it or finds it cringey, but honestly, the vocal line goes hard on that track. i would recommend listening to all of their older albums ESP the chinese versions bc then you can get a good idea of what exo was supposed to sound like when they casted the members. i understand it's kinda hard listening to the chinese versions bc of one of the former members being... yeah, but i still recommend it! i prefer them bc chen is my bias but also bc i think the vocal line just worked so well in that sub-unit. i was so excited to see you watch this since i'm a huge exo-l and have been following ur channel since your dmumt reaction. much love!
