I've been waiting for a long time, but it was worth it. Besides the album, as you are doing a stray kids bonus drop this month, could you maybe check out their fanmeet performances of “waiting for us” and “muddy water”? The boys decided to make the vocal line perform “muddy water” and the rap line perform “waiting for us”. It was very surprising to see them all fit in so well.

thanks so much for this reaction!! this album really is something else. if you don’t know already, fnf is about the australian bushfires in 2019! (it was written then too i think?) that’s why there are lots of references to fire. they specifically wanted to dedicate it to “all those loved and lost” in the bushfires, but specifically the flora and fauna. it’s very touching :)

Thank you for reacting. As always I adore the listening party. I really like watching you immerse yourself in the lyrics and meanings. I would also suggest the Stray Kids Intro video to 5 Star because they explain the meaning behind the songs. Hall of Fame is my absolute favorite! They are not saying they *are* the best, but that they want to aspire to be the best versions of themselves and to continue to improve to make it to the hall of fame. Topline is absolutely a flex song. They said they made it specifically for them with Tiger JK. Honestly. I'm very grateful you were able to even do the listening party given your health and big move and on top of all that, uploading all of your old content. Which is why I truly appreciate you putting so much effort in. Thank you again. Make sure not to push yourself too hard. 2023-07-13 05:23:28 aaahhhh i was waiting for this!! i knew u would like what they did with this projeeeect, i thought you would cry with fnf pd ngl LMAO just like u did with haven, i feel like those songs are like sisters lol, chan is a master in sad edm music haha i agree with you pd, this album is a total humble flex from them, i feel like skz are so free rn, they've always been but they're gaining even more confidence in their music lately and honestly i am beyond proud of what they've become as artists. as a pre debut stay i can tell that these boys are so meant to be together, they connect so well, 3racha working hard in conceptualization and song making area (they literally don't sleep), danceracha in charge of choreo, lee know basically is a teacher lol and felix & hyunjin are the best when it comes to facial expressions, and finally my beautiful vocal racha!! they even pay for vocal lessons outside of jype!! from their own money ofc, jeongin said that even on his free time he couldn't scape his lessons cause he's constantly thinking in the need of getting better, they're some of the most hardworking idols out there and they compliment each other so well, and the fact that chan handpicked the members himself, nah they're really special, i'm glad they're noticing it, the lyrics for s-class truly feel like they're showering themselves with appreciation for what they are, "the oddest ones, the most special stars". Lol this got a lil cheesy but i just get emotional when it comes to them😭 thanks for the reaction pd!! i love the way you see these kids and their journey with music, always<3

PD I highly, HIGHLY recommend checking out the album intro for this album, it really gives an incredible insight into what the intentions/reasonings were for this album and shows some behind-the-scenes content in the making of it.

Ahhh this was fun.... Stray Kids is the only group I was a fan of since pre-debut so I've loved watching and listening to them evolve. Hyunjin in the beginning was known for being 1/3 of danceracha and a sub rapper/ vocalist. But with Lee Know being known for being a background dancer predebut and with other super talented rap members I feel like Hyunjin was mostly known as the visual. Dude's such a hard worker though. Somewhere along the way, he found his own personal dance and rap style and became the king of stage presence. As for Lee Know he was the main dancer but during their survival show while practicing for hellevator JYP suddenly asked him to rap one of the verses ( since the song was so rap heavy and 3racha was doing most of it). Han had to hold his hand since he was nervous and Changbin rapped quietly to help him keep time while Lee Know attempted the rap. JYP was like ok good enough you do that part. So that's how we first got rapper Lee Know (so i guess thanks JYP!). And later he had to take on more of the vocal burden with the rest of vocalracha and the rest is history. Like others have already said do watch the INTRO for this album if you get a chance. It provides a lot of insight. It is kinda long though (3 parts - 1 -them talking about the album 2- dance rehearsals 3-recording bts)

I think someone already said the information should read it was about the flora and fauna (plants and animals) lost in the Australian brushfires in 2019 that deeply affected Chan and Felix because they felt like they like couldn’t help from where they were. it’s also connects the themes of grief and mortality. they do have a video and they I think quite purposefully do not have fire in it because of the devastation that happened but rather a city scape that brings into contrast what is not there what they are chasing after.

This is great! "Collision" is still my favorite song on this album. Han writes such amazing sentimental songs. I'm excited to see you to check out the rest of the MVs for this album! I hope you'll be able to watch all of them!

2023-07-13 08:58:26 Watching skz grow over the past 4 years has really shown mean what it means to have rigor and a dream, like what you were saying they are expressing how proud they are of their growth and that skz is special. The way they do it in a respectful and nice fashion it shows how much they truly care about the artistry of it all. Chan, Changbin and Han have such big hearts and are so smart for the way they write their emotions and express them through music!! For Hyunjin over the years its been nice to see him gain confidence, his rapping was unique and a lot of people didn't understand that, they would say he had bad pronunciation and a bad tone, i truly didn't think that at all. For his popularity I think he grabbed peoples attention (at least mine) when him and danceracha were doing things together in 2019!! but he has grown a lot as a person and an artist he and the other members really got to shine on this album. I have been a stay for such a long time and I do agree that stay played a big role in maximizing their success, like we are a bunch of little marketers lol. Thank you PD for checking out this wonderful album from the boys :)

This is why I always always want to and can't wait to see your reaction PD. Your understanding of the songs and the album itself is amazing. It perfectly make sense that the first 5 tracks are very much about SKZ and next half another 5 tracks are relatable songs for STAYs. Even the added songs in the end for me felt like still evens its up. The Sound being very much about SKZ and Time Out a relatable song for STAYs. I had no idea I can love this album even more after watching you say that. And just appreciating and admiring Stray Kids even more for such an amazing well put together and very honest album. Wow. Thank you PD. Seriously want to watch you react to their intro videos for 5-star.

I also did this but PD, their last full length album was noeasy, which was almost 2 years ago not last year 😭 this LP also made me even more excited for the bonus drops and the SKZ Replay LP. I'm biased but Han's songs are so distinctly Han, and Collision is also definitely one of my favourites. You'll see this through SKZ Replay but his style is SO good and distinct (Alien and Wish You Back are some of my favourite songs of all time), and he explains this more in his Lee Mujin's Service ep! If I remember correctly, you really also liked Winter Falls, which he wrote as well. And on SKZ and English, and Hyunjin having a lot of English lines! He's actually one of the more well versed members when it comes to speaking, because he lived in the US for a couple of years when he was super young. Seungmin is also very close to fluent - he speaks without scripts during concerts and English interviews, and has a really good grasp of grammar too. This comment is super long but I have to talk about the obvious Drunken Tiger tribute because 3racha, especially Han (who was so nervous about approaching tigerjk that he procrastinated it and ended up missing the opportunity to take a picture with him or get his contact lol), hero worship his music and it's very fun to see. They also collabed with TigerJK for a small segment for MAMA last year, and apparently ended up asking him to collab there! I support everyone who recommended the Intros for this album, its a fun informative watch.

Awesome listening party PD. You are my favourite reactor/creator because you really understand the music, lyrics, nuances, and hidden meanings behind songs (especially because you're also Korean) that Stray Kids put out. They always have deeper meanings behind the songs and its so great to hear and see someone point those out - they're always trying to tell a story. My favourite off the album is definitely Collision because I love the R&B style and it also being about heartbreak and relationships. Regarding FNF, Chan and Felix wrote the song about the Australian bushfires that wiped out an enormous amount of fauna and flora in 2019. Its such a hard hitting song for me as an Aussie guy and I completely relate to them as its the place we all grew up in. Like you said it can be interpreted in many ways which makes it even more of a beautiful song in my eyes. For my personal taste, its their best album yet - an absolute 11/10, 5-Star album. Can't wait for their next releases and your reactions. Thanks PD!

I am thinking about your statement that after Kingdom they started to get noticed and popular in Korea much more and started to grow even bigger… Well, we have to keep in mind that they are from the Big 3, so anyway people in Korea will be aware of them, but I would say they were a really similar case to ATEEZ that they were popular more outside Korea in their early years than in Korea. And with their Go Live album they blew up in Korea as well and then with being in Kingdom and being the winners just continue the hype, which led to No Easy album with which they just grew more and more both globally and domestically and with every comeback they just got bigger and bigger.

You should definitely check out the MVs they put out for the album. You obviously checked out S-Class but they also released MVs for Topline, Get Lit, FNF, and DLC. FNF was shot in Australia and DLC was shot in Paris. Also in terms of the type of music Han tends to make it’s much more like Collision there’s a joke that Han is the male Taylor Swift of Korea as he tends to do a lot of break up type songs or songs with a more melancholy vibe. Other songs he’s written are Chill, Secret Secret, 19, Slump (from Tower Of God). He also has a bunch of Solo songs he’s released like Close, Alien, Volcano, Want You Back, etc.
