LISTENING PARTY AGUST D D-DAY.mp4

You should watch Suga: Road to D-Day documentary on Disney +, it’s about the process of this album. And also his tour. And has some live performances of the songs. Also there is a long section about him meeting Ryuichi sakamoto, and how they create that song and the meeting behind snooze, which is very beautiful.

This album was so good and Yoongi has said he knows people would probably say it was “predictable” for him but that’s why I love it. He brings a certain type of music that only he can bring and the album literally is no skip. I got to see his concert in New York and it was such an amazing show considering he did the entire show as a solo member. The stage was so cool and he really told a story only he could tell. I’m excited for his encore concerts he just announced that’ll be in August at KSPO dome and I’m sure he has a lot of surprises planned. I hope you can check out the MV for Amygdala even if it’s just for Patreon since it is age restricted on YouTube. He really wanted to tell a story with that and it’s really an emotional piece

Life Goes On was actually Yoongi’s demo for when BTS were creating the song for the Be album. Ultimately his version wasn’t chosen as we all know but he said he liked it so much he was going to use it as a song for himself. When he performs this song live on the piano the crowd started doing fanchants of each member as BTS and Yoongi actually told the audience one night to say them louder 😂 so you can tell it’s a very personal song to both him and the group as a whole

really enjoyed this listening party <3 i also loved the tracklist arrangement, it's something yoongi's really particular about which i appreciate. that dawn-snooze-life goes on combo really got me. i cried so much when i first listened to it even without reading the lyrics then cried so much more after reading the translations 🤣 d-day is also an instant fave track of mine and it's such an experience hearing it live. there's something so comforting about everyone in the crowd shouting 'future's gonna be okay' he's so incredible live, if ever you wanted to check out his concert there are recordings of the online stream (seoul day 1 & 2) here! https://3cmgoogie.tumblr.com/others-ddayseoul thanks again for this listening party! 💜

I had a way longer comment about how younger Suga would love to meet the Suga of today, and his recent tour. But my power went out and it didn't cache. But love this so much. Also really loved D-Day in Seoul. Really hope you get to check out both the concert and also the documentary. Fav songs would have to be literally the whole album. Like I've literally looped this album so much since it came out. But also if I had to pick, D-Day, AMYGDALA, Polar Night, Interlude Dawn, Snooze. In all honesty, day to day my most listened would probably have to be D-Day and Polar Night lol.

This is my fav album this year, From putting every piece of the album, writing, composing and producing in each of it, it's just crazy how Agust d manages to tell people to f**k off but still manages to comfort people from their soul! Amygdala has a MV, I really hope you check it out PD, and also his Seoul live concerts!!! He was in IU's palette, suchwita hahah, yoongi and jimin were in ddeun ddeun which is really funny but I really hope you check out both Hobi's and AgustD's Disney documentary! I will forever fight with people calling BTS names because If we start from Hobi's JITB, Joon's Indigo, Jimin's Face and Now AGUSTD's Dday... These people are musical genius... I just can't really understand how they do this, I am really excited for Jk, Tae and Jin's album.

I knew that Snooze would speak to you PD! Suga said that he wrote the song for his junior artists and for any creators that survive on snoozes to achieve their dreams. It’s such an emotional and comforting song. One of my favorites of the album 💜💜

I knew you were gonna be here for D-Day, when I heard it I thought "Oh, PD's gonna love this one" XD I agree with your thoughts about the album overall! It's just a really good, solid album. My favorite of his works so far tbh. I really like his journey and how we hear it in the music - it's so inspiring, and for me also it matches with my own life, ha. Concur that you should watch the Road to D-Day documentary! It's really good, if you have time for it.

an incredible album from an incredible man. yoongi isn’t just my bangtan bias, he’s also probably my favorite idol in all of kpop. i have so much respect for him as a writer, an artist in general, and a person.

Thank you for this! Now that I heard how you feel about mr Sakamoto, I know you will love Sugas road to D day documentary where he meets people and shows us his journey of making his album 💜 it is in Disney+ and in weverse. Yoongi also announced 3 extra Seoul concerts held august 4-6th. His latest Seoul concerts had also official streams.

What you said about Suga being out here to save lives with his music is so true, I feel like he truly understands the complexities of human emotions and relationships and is able to translate that into such beautiful and bittersweet lyrics. He truly just brings me comfort and I'm so proud of how far he has come on his journey of healing and finding happiness - he's one of the most inspirational artists out there for me. This entire album is on repeat for me but my most replayed are d-day, snooze and sdl. "Future's gonna be ok..look at the mirror and I see no pain" is one of my favorite lines ever and conveys so much meaning. Snooze just makes me emotional, it's like a warm hug from Yoongi saying everything will be ok, and the composition is just beautiful by Ryuchi Sakamoto and Woosung's vocals always blow me away and was a perfect featuring. I think Yoongi said somewhere that he wrote Snooze to comfort other kpop idols out there, which makes the song even more emotional and I can totally see how the lyrics could bring so much comfort and advice for his juniors in the industry. Lastly SDL just personally hit me a lot, as somebody who has lost connections with lots of people in my life the lyrics for SDL was like Yoongi wrote down exactly what I was thinking and feeling when I look back on those relationships - do I miss them or the memory of them? or is it my regrets? when thinking and talking about them is too hard so I just put on a smile. I could go on forever about Yoongi and this album but I'll stop my essay here haha. Thanks for the listening party PD, I really enjoyed watching it <3

It was great hearing your thoughts on the album, it's definitely my favourite from him so far. Would love to see your reaction to the Amygdala MV and D-Day documentary if that's something you want to do!

Snooze is what music is made for

I have one my own disadvantage listening to this album. I didn’t follow his solo work that much. Like I listened to some songs here and there, but I wasn’t deep involved in it, so I cannot appreciate this whole story. But I really love this piece of work! Jimin has one big advantage of the fact his album is really personal, but D-Day is really neck to neck if I compare them to each other. Basically to be fully honest Set Me Free Part 2 is the song based on which I cannot just say D-Day is better than Face, that song keeps its album on on a different level. But anyway… every time I start to compare their solo works I end up saying: “But Indigo… the whole concept even on its album cover…” like all of their albums are great, but Indigo keeps the status of being “THE ALBUM” Now I’m thinking it would be cool to do a compilation album of their solo albums and make like one giant The BTS Album 🤔😅

I feel like with solo BTS projects, everyone surprises us; JHOPE's dark album, then RM's sweet album, JIMIN with set me free p2, and now therapeutic SUGA. they really show us different sides of themselves by the way, suga finished his tour last week but there is a 3 days encore in August (offline and online tickets) but you could also check out some of the songs he did live like LIFE GOSE ON (Seoul day 2. JIMIN, V, JUNGKOOK was there) THAT THAT (PSY surprise feature) also hopefully you could react to: (BTS- TAKE TWO) the song and the live ver. V (Le Jazz de V' Live Clip) it's crazy good: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUNnMsq8OKU

I cried a lot whenever I heard snooze .. he did reuse some line he wrote a years ago from (so far away). amygdala has a music video when you watch it the song will grow on you.
