채채즈

OMG thank you PD, I was wondering how I will endure waiting for LSRF's comeback and you posted this. Hope you guys feels better

Liv

I’m glad Somi was able to provide that human touch, like real comfort especially from someone that understands the stress, I can only imagine if she was able to be there the whole time how much of a good counsel she’d provide

Peikoririn

Thank you sooo much! 💗

Liv

Losing Haruto, Woongki, and Seo Won HURT—it’s hard bc they deserve to be there, they’re all rounder talents and one of a kind in the kpop scene I only wish the best for them bc they want it so hard shout out to the gyaruz (all 3 of them are self proclaimed and know the nickname, I really appreciate them being themselves unabashedly, they received a lot of love internationally for being their “flamboyant” selves and I respect them so much) Haruto even wrote letters calling Woongki and Seo Won unnies, and Zi Hao his husband, I want nothing but for them to get opportunities like anyone else and shine

Liv

Haruto even got into Korea University at this time, won awards for being BILLY ELLIOT IN BILLY ELLIOT he has everything for not just a worthy idol but one that stands out, I’m frustrated that his talents aren’t being recognized and worried that he’s gonna be tossed to the wayside by the company LET HIM DEBUT//him and Woongki, Hanbin, and others are under WakeOne WHICH IS JUST A TRASH COMPANY they’re responsible for TO1 and the way they did Woongki dirty and kicked them out made me LIVID they did all that and still don’t know how to take care of TO1, just absolutely devastating bc not only did he demolish supercharger but he hard carried

Anonymous

i know you brought up jay getting hate and wasn’t sure if you were aware of the amount of hate jongwoo has been getting as well.. it’s mostly just on twitter but it’s gotten out of hand and it especially increased after he made it into the finals 😭 anyways thank you for this reaction i can’t wait to watch your ep 12 reaction too <3

Wiktor

This episode... was brutal... my top9... 😭 Woongki, Seowon, Seunghwan, Haruto... yeh I checked out for the rest of the show. I was expecting at least ONE of my top 5 faves to make finale... nah... SOMI came to thanos snap my dreams

anejelly

Junhyeon has never been on my top 9 but I'm just now realizing how I will miss his presence so much :( Him and Woongki are literally the mood makers of this show. He seems really determined and he is very talented. I hope he'll get to debut soon!

Violet Joo

Can I ask for the reason he was hated? Like how can people hate this talented guy?

sunnyside

THE INFINITY GAUNTLET COMMENT SENT ME TO SPAAAAAACE. also god. jaehwan has such summer camp counselor vibes its unreal.

adri

woongki, seowon and haruto all being eliminated knocked out my entire top 3 in fell swoop. i was honestly devastated for days and never even finished watching the episode after the elimination ended. honestly i have been waiting for ur reaction to be released to finish the ep. but !! woongki, haruto, park hanbin, and lee jeonghyeon (as well as a bunch of others that were already eliminated + taerae) are all trainees under wakeone ent and wakeone has been letting them post on their trainee/auditions acc, which they hadn't done before boys planet. all the trainees have gotten a LOT of hype from the show, and us fans of the WAKEONEZ (as we call them) are really hoping that wakeone will make the smart decision to debut them while theyre still popular! also !! woongki's birthday was on the 23rd and he went to his birthday cafe event and seemed to be really happy!!!

adri

also lee seunghwan posted a say my name dance cover with woongki on his instagram!!

Obviously there is another episode that I can watch, but I want to make this known as it's pestering me like a crow's beak hitting my skull repeatedly. After this, I am going to try and reset before commencing to the next episode. I am deeply disappointed in Sung Han-Bin. I understood that Han-Bin needs to be away from Hoe-Taek in order to have a good competition, but the way he took Jay from the Main Vocal position and brought him NOT only to the other song, but to place them at the very bottom of the vocal position is absolutely absurd. He is already in 1st place, and has been for every single round, but to bring someone in 12th place currently to the bottom position of the other song is driving me crazy. I don't mind that Sung Han-Bin took Jay out of the main vocal position as it gives him more exposure and cement himself, but the narcissism and egoist from this person is now showing. This is literally what a Bluelock person would do, but IRL instead of anime. I am going to say this and I don't care how anyone takes it... FUCK SUNG HAN-BIN. He's a prick for doing this move and in this way. I wanted Jay to be apart of the TOP9, but it seems like it'll be a far dream now. Unless a good portion of the vocalist don't show much promise and/or Jay doesn't show that DAWG in him... Jay is screwed. I am so fucking angry at Han-Bin for being an asshole and screwing someone over that badly. Jay is a great vocalist and has a lot of promise if he were to be apart of the TOP9, but apparently Han-Bin doesn't see that. And if anyone tells me about Hoe-Taek, Hoe-Taek is a great vocalist, but he also has the experience and promise to be a self-producer. A much better comparison would be Tae-Rae. I am just fucking pissed off at what Han-Bin did to Jay as Jay is a huge personal preference and someone I truly believe to be apart of TOP9.

beannieswife

this whole episode was a hate crime against the lgbtq+ community, they sent all the gays home💀, im joking (or maybe im not LOL😟dont take this too seriously pls) but i totally agree with the whole convo you guys had at the end, i have a lot of mixed feelings with the way the show ended, theres a lot of fishy stuff here and there but tbh what can we expect from a superficial society? im still very proud of all the boys tho <3 i ended up attached to everyone :´)

Emily

it’s a competition, what did you want him to do?? Not move anyone and take the tiny part for himself?? Go touch some grass.

Liv

It truly is not necessary to send hate towards a trainee in general, but especially on the patreon which is meant for healing content just don’t bring that here, I was hoping we’d learn something after the past couple of days—and overall it doesn’t make anything better to tear someone down to push your fave up, it doesn’t work like that and it definitely won’t make you or your fave feel better if they knew about it; expressing disappointment is fine but directing that at a specific person is so dehumanizing

Anonymous

PD, about Jiwoong being more popular than Woongi besides both being assumedly gay, I think you are spot on on why that is. Obviously idol culture is rooted in this fantasy of the idol being a boyfriend-like figure for the fans so them being gay is not important unless it becomes too obvious and the fantasy breaks. Woongi still came far in the competition so many people must have supported and voted for him. But other trainees that are also assumedly lgbt like Sung Hanbin, Zhang Hao and Jiwoong had more support all throughout the show and I'm not sure this would have been like that hadn't they been 'deyassified' as people called it. Also Korean votes weighted 50% and I'm sure their views on gay men are different than here in the west.

I've seen these kinds of comments all over the internet since episode 11 aired and while it was almost funny to me in the beginning because it's so ridiculous, the more I see, the more frustrated I get. do you really not realise how unreflected and biased your comment is? I understand that it is frustrating to see one of your favourites "pushed" to a smaller position, honestly I really do understand. but to make that out as another trainee, and in this case hanbin, being ill-intended towards jay is complete and utter bullshit, and spreading this toxicity (which I am fine ignoring on twitter, but seeing it here in our usually fairly safe patreon community here just ticks me off) is just mean and unnecessary. if you pay close attention, many of the lower ranking trainees were pushed into smaller positions by higher ranking ones because EVERYONE wants a good part - hanbin seemed to have had his eyes on that main vocal part from the beginning and probably would have pushed anyone who had stood there away - and hanbin ranking so high comes with extra high expectations of viewers as well. the shitty part of this situation (not hanbin's action, but the situation that resulted from this whole part-assigning in general) was that since hanbin was the last to choose, there was only one single spot available which was pretty small I'm sure jay way dissappointed by that and I also understands that his fans were too (I was as well but the matter of fact just is that someone has to do those parts as well), but I honestly don't think he was at any point mad at hanbin as jay understands that that is part of the game/competition if you watch the final performances I truly think that both jay and hanbin did excellent in their respective parts and I actually really appreciated seeing jay in the jelly pop performance as I feel he was able to show us a side of him he hadn't been able to before this rant has gotten way longer than I had planned and there are so many more things that I could say still but the main thing really is this: I understand you (and everyone) have your preferences and biases and that when something doesn't play out the way you think would highlight your favourite the best, you may be annoyed and frustrated. but please learn to differentiate between being annoyed at a contestant (or person in general) and a situation and when which is appropriate (more often than not its the latter) - and stop spreading hate and toxicity I promise you such toxicity doesn't do anyone any good, and that includes hanbin, jay, you, and everyone who has to read bullshit like that

lila22

im fine with the line up. im mostly sad for jay, jongwoo, hui and keita. hui and keita the most, they looked so sad (habin as well) i was the saddest about hui. he was the big talk of the start of the show, he was the main focus. he got critizied a lot of times , and got a lot of dumb hate cause of his age. he is a little older and wanted the chance to get in a group who is more popular. many people are like "it would have been weird if he would be in the group since he is older", and "it would be akward with the younger people". but he was so close with the other guys, and fit perfectly (which makes it even more sad) I saw a couple clips of the finale where hui and the other guys were crying. (mostly gyuvin, since he and hui were the closest) like gyuvin looked like he had a mental breakdown cause hui didnt make it. the other guys were like his friends/sons. and its so hart to see them beeing seperated. its also a little weird that a kinda popular guy like hui (he is really popular but also underated, the same with pentagon as a group) already idol so talented, didnt make it under mostly trainess. he is the most talented on in the show, but most people were like "he already has a group" and didnt voted for him. i hope more people are gonna check out pantagon.and keita is a trainee for 10 years and always was under the top 9. its just sad, that he didnt make it.i hope they all have insta, so that i can follow the guys in the future.

Don't call me.

omg the deyassification is real tho if you look the way they danced and stuff before. you cantell they are toning it down

pikachu

can you post on ep 12? just coz spoilers

crys

i mean it is a competition after all and the final round at that, of course people are going to get greedy or competitive, you cant blame him. its a survival show. of course he’d choose a big part if he could for the final round. he’d definitely push someone out either ways, do u expect him to step down and give way to others and take sub vocal 6? also there was only one spot left, he had no choice but to put jay there. i think you could have phrased your comment more nicely, it was in no way necessary to speak that harshly of sung hanbin for wanting to stand out and secure his spot. you can’t label someone as a narcissistic prick or curse them out for wanting to make it as big as he can, anyone would’ve done what he did… its one thing to be mad and say it nicely but another thing to be outright rude and disrespectful to hanbin. this is actually so frustrating, i hope you reread what u said and reconsider ur comment because you’re giving an unfair judgement to hanbin over this and this is definitely a stretch. u can be mad but still nice about it you know!

crys

SEOWON… for real i wanted him to make its SOO BAD. seowon is one of my top picks of him and seunghwan and i had to watch them and a few of my other top picks like haruto and woongki go so this was heartbreaking 😭 people joke around and said this was a homophobic episode btw bc all the flamboyant/stereotypically gay people were eliminated LOL

crys

what you said about seowon is soo true. interesting addition to what u said about him being the ideal idol: for the past few missions, people who went to see seowon live have all always said that he always manages to stand out and he was born to be an idol. they say he has an amazing idol-like presence in real life especially and stands out really well. actually, seowon has done a lot on boys planet but it just wasn’t shown💔 in the behind the scenes we see him leading a few of the dance practices he’s in, and he’s a huge victim of mnet’s editing where they cut out his parts and dont give him screentime. he didn’t even have a mic in the love killa practice ☹️ i’m so annoyed because he could have easily made top 9 with actual screen time but mnet only likes to use him for reaction cuts which is annoying as hell because they dont show his talents. speaking of reaction cuts LOL i just find it very cute how seowon is always appearing on screen every like 3 seconds to make a small comment because he gives such fun small little insights and comments and it’s really adorable 😭 u literally see his face and voice every few seconds because his reactions are always so good LOL he’s also always basically co-emceeing every eliminations with his comments like “will it be sung hanbin who has always placed 1st or will zhang hao overthrow him?” idk LOL i just find it very fun and it makes him so much more loveable i just feel. he’s just such a fun and nice guy, he has this very good energy to him! he’s like bffs with everyone too its astounding. he just has such positive energy, but somehow A LOT of people actually hate on him. they get annoyed and call him gay or annoying and curse him out and it’s heartbreaking cos i think he’s so hard to hate he’s actually so nice 😭😭 he’s in my opinion a true idol! im so happy u love seowon soo much, i really look forward to ur reaction to any nine.i releases in the future! seowon is fr so talented and nine.i is way too good to be nugus, seriously. i hope u check out their show “why not nine.i” too, it’s fun, short and comforting and i think you’d fall in love with the members too!

crys

yes the thing u addressed about LGBTQ+ is soo true. jiwoong is talented, yes, but he’s ranked so high and he’s a BL actor in a conservative country at that! i definitely agree, if he wasn’t this sexy masculine man and acted conventionally “gay”, i doubt some people would vote for him, which is really sad ): people dont like flamboyant trainees or “gay” trainees, its exactly why woongki, seowon, haruto etc weren’t able to make it as far as they should’ve unfortunately so much toning down has to be done in order to be voted. being assumedly gay, sung hanbin and zhang hao are remarkable additional insights to this along with jiwoong. hanbin has actually toned down A LOT for the show. in predebut videos he’s extremely flamboyant and has that sass and all in contrary to the flower boy image shown here. i mean he’s literally a waacker and waacking originated in gay clubs. you can look up “sung hanbin call me mother” if you want to see this viral video of hanbin predebut dancing to rupaul’s song from drag race. zhang hao was also active in the china gay community and made a bunch of posts even ones targetted at homophobes mocking their homophobia by saying stuff like “Haha~~ I can’t ever accept opposite-sex marriages…so gross…why would opposite-sex marriage ever exist in the world! Being together when you’re not the same sex, that’s so hardcore!!” and he’s a waacker at that. but yup. those 3 have toned down as you can see on the show (because korea is still conservative) and have consistently ranked highly. althought zhang hao does show it a bit, a little indication i guess(?), with his sleeves. in all his performances from kill this love to tomboy to over me and jelly pop and even in practice rooms, he’s always seen with one sleeve up/cut while the other is down. it’s called cut sleeve and is actually a known symbol in china for homosexuality. people believe zhang hao is way too smart for it to be a coincidence, and in the stages the sleeves seemed to have been styled and intentionally cut, and he carries on so with the sleeves even in the practice room. people think that he’s trying to subtly show these little hints and gestures for that purpose! so yeah, unfortunately the safe way to play this is to basically tone urself down if u want to get far in the competition, it’s really sad

excellen

I was gutted that Seunghwan didn't make it to the finals. I kinda expected him not making it after the Engarde performance since yes he performed super well like he always did but he wasn't even highlighted enough and was not given any background story for people to connect with him. I truly wanted a miracle but it was really hard. Seunghwan said before this show that if him not redebuting was a problem with his skills he would just train harder but when the problem is his age (he is 23 years old) there is nothing he could do about and that's why boys planet was his last chance trying and he would enlist if he didn't make. Luckily he seems to not have given up YET thank god. He's been hustling using his instagram recently putting out covers with the other eliminated contestants and even added a bussiness contact in his profile. And he gained like 100k new followers in 6 days. Seems like he is trying to use the buzz from the show on his last attempt now so I hope he gets something out of this. Also I feel so sorry for Hiroto. I just hope RBW either debuts him already or just let him go if they don't have any plans for him. Please don't send him to another survival show.

Hello everyone! I have made a recent comment in this thread that I want to acknowledge. After careful rereading my distasteful comment about Sung Han-Bin, I want to say that I deeply apologize about the things I said. It was a very haste set of thoughts and I was not in the right mind to carefully type what my mind wanted to say. I apologize for Han-Bin directly, even though there’s a small chance he will actually read this. He was trying to be the best individual in this competition and I realized the stakes going into this competition and the last mission. Second group that I want to apologize to directly is ZEROBASEONE, this is for the reason that my comments have made inadvertent claims with one of their members. They don’t deserve to read those words and should prosper as individual idols and the group(s) they engage with. Thirdly, I want to apologize to PD himself and Blair. They are trying their best to stop any negativity that isn’t warrant, instead replacing that with positivity. They don’t deserve to read and have this type of negativity going on within their own community and I wish to change. Lastly, I want to apologize for those whom have read what my unfiltered thoughts were and those whom commented underneath as a separate thread. You guys don’t deserve to read those type of things and I deeply apologize for writing them out and not taking a second to proof read and make sure that everything is as good faith as possible. Once again, my last thoughts were unfiltered and deserve the push back I have received. I will take full responsibility for my actions and take accountability as well. The only thing I ask is for your forgiveness. Even if that doesn’t happen right this second, please take the actions I do take in the future to speak volumes compared to what you are reading right now. Thanks for your time and everyone, including PD, Blaire, ZEROBASEONE and Sung Han-Bin has a great day and night. I’ll be deleting my comment as that doesn’t deserve to be in this at all

lila22

i just saw that i commented on the wrong post and deleted the comment

Eman Khan

My heart always hurts so much for the people who seem to be just giving it their all and just have to deal with crappy situations over and over again. Hopefully a lot of the trainees that didn't make it don't give up, but all we can do is wish them our best and support them in their paths.

Ashley

Yes, I definitely agree with Woongi not ranking high because of his personality. It really sucks because he’s such a gem - both on the stage and off the stage. In the same case as Jiwoong, both Sung Hanbin and Zhanghao have had very LGBT-coded pasts and I feel like both of them toning down any sense of flamboyance and having more calm personalities have helped them to not turn away Korean fans.

Suzanne Austen

The thing about LGBTQ+ is so true, especially for Jiwoong, Hanbin and Zhang Hao who really toned down their personalities. Jiwoongs BL acting partner Seobin (in both bl dramas he was in) even archived all their photos together on his instagram until Boys Planet finished and literally JUST uploaded a vlog of their trip together that was filmed before Boys Planet started and he didn't upload it until now, and everyone thinks its because he didn't want to hurt Jiwoongs chances to debut

han

it says this video doesnt exist anymore :/

Bryan Hyung

Ohh yes! I just wanted to watch it and then suddenly it says it doesn't exist anymore
