if you wanna hear more haewon i suggest you watch her Leemujin Service (lily also did one). Haewon also does a monthly live stream on youtube and will sing suggested songs, she quickly one of my favorite vocals because of the control she has of her voice

Thanks for the great reaction! I love this song and mv and stage practice so much! Maybe it’s the vocals, but it vaguely reminds me of the feeling I got watching the movie Burlesque for the first time. Also, I really enjoyed Mera’s commentary on Nmixx’s debut on Youtube and how she talked about how she also fell in love with them through their performances, specifically their cover of Move Your Body by Beyoncé, and how that’s the kind of music they could be making. Listening to Love Me Like This reminds me of everything she talked about in her video!

oh my fucking god thanks for making that comparison PD because you have just enlighten me to the realization... they give that shinee vibe and theyre having a similar journey getting popular in korea rn, nmixx is going on variety shows everywhere rn just like shinee in their prime time, i see the resemblance so much now, everyone in the group can sing their ass off, they all have amazing stage presence and harmony as a group, theyre criticized for their music lmaooo, naaah im in shock rn

I love several things about this stage practice. Yes, it shows just how insanely talented they are as vocalists. However, it also shows how much effort went into designing these practice rooms. There is a very specific reason the video was shot from this direction. The mirror wall and hard floor are required. They need to be that way for practice and easy of use, but they naturally create echo. Go to any dance studio not designed to record sound in and it's a bunch off hard surfaces creating an echo chamber. But here if you look closely, the walls are covered in what looks like cloth covered cushions, ie sound absorbing material. Also the ceiling. While most people will think it looks cool, it is also functional. Those parallel boards are actually functioning as baffles, focusing sound in a specific direction. In this case to the back cloth wall and towards the recording camera. Which is why they could record this without the group being individually wired for sound.

only unfortunate thing is it seems like the mic was placed by the camera so it picked up the chest voice belts and whatnot but the more quiet singing portions SEEMED not as supported/strong but Im guessing its just bc of the mic placement and it was a bit far away
