I’d love to hear what other people think as to why the MV was like that, like it seemed completely cheaper than the direction Talk That Talk was going for, Talk That Talk was a SPECTACLE!!! Part of me thinks they miscalculated their MV budget and split it b/w Moonlight Sunrise and Set Me Free??? Instead of putting the full budget into both?

I think it was a weird mix of them being simplistic but also creative at the same time if that makes sense? As you said it was definitely a step down compared to TTT and I feel like they tried to get more creative at the same time which did not create a good combination. I get TTT and Set Me Free are 2 completely different concepts, but you're telling me JYP made THAT music video for an amazing song in Set Me Free??

Agree with everything, this performance just seems more grand than the end of the MV. Also, Blaire your outfit kinda matches the color scheme/vibe of the members!!!! Love that

You mentioned the last part of the MV for Set Me Free with the whole explosion part; for me, after watching it a few times, I took it as they were on a “set” and wanted to be “set free” along with the explosion expressing it. But that’s my opinion haha, but totally this performance video made me appreciate the song more. AND YESSSSSS, MINAAAAA!! She has been catching my eyes since I can’t stop me era and IT GETS EVEN BETTER. I’m becoming a Mina simp too 😂❤️
