I think what the Mercenary met by "It was the only way I could save you" is by pity killing them or mercy killing them hence in his flashback in was put in a position where he had to put down a comrade out of mercy and so instead of watch these people live in such a world he'd end there misery for them himself so what he thought he was doing was a good thing and it's what I love about this show nobody is right or wrong everyone just has there own conception of what's right even Niragi to some extent But overall this ep had me stressed as hell 😫

I know there’s a whole lapse of logic already with how Heiya and everyone else still were breathing after they got attacked but USAGI GOT STABBED IN THE KNEE CAPS AND HOW IS SHE OKAY?? Obviously not deadly but it’s so visceral and now she has to play croquet😭 even assisted how can she stand

The BUDGET for this episode is INSANEEEEE. This episode is my favourite EVER episode in TV history for me. I fckin BALLED my eyes out 3 times already and even now the 4th time I cried... EVERYONE important getting OFF'd within 5-10mins 😂😭 IT WAS sad but from an artistic way... it was in a way... PERFECT. the ONLYYYY thing I wished they could've done... was to end the season off.... by pitting against each other with only ONE victor in the end type of game BEFORE the Queen of Hearts... Kind of a repeat/flashback to when Arisu's friends died in season 1. Kind of a loop back but with the final cast of characters. (Thats how I would've scripted the second to last game) but this episode was just perfect for me. These characters always seemed 'over powered' and 'unbeatable'... this episode made them very humanised. They were POWERLESS, throw around like rag dolls. All this build up, of these characters just to get off'd by ONE guy one by one... THAT's how you end a show.

I can't lie I was absolutely bawling my eyes out during the alley fight scene when I first watched this season and I definitely was not emotionally ready to rewatch it😭

for some reason Heyia visually kinda reminds me of Hyewon (Iz*one), even though I don't think they actually look that much alike... am I the only one? haha also wtf was this episode, this sure was a rollercoaster of emotions

this ep was definitely a big tearjerker for me. the fight in the alley was so intense and emotional. the way usagi attacked the king of spades in such an animalistic way was acted out exceptionally well! it truly felt like she was doing anything to help her friend and survive herself. i'd never seen usagi act so hysterical(?)
