So glad the show is fully clicking for you PD! It's definitely not my favorite Studio Dragon drama, but it's still fantastic for different things than what Studio Dragon is usually good at. They're definitely experimenting a lot with this, and that itself makes it a different beast. The fencing stuff in this show is absolutely fantastic and the sports anime feels are back! Every episode is definitely different depending on the focus and what the people in it are going through. It's very turbulent just like life is, and that makes it very real despite how wild the characters are. I definitely think the show evolves as Yijin does, and it's a very relatable experience to a lot of people in their early 20s who lost their way after high school, or college, or any other major life change. I do think it's interesting that Heedo kind of has the power in their relationship. They're not outright romantic at this point (which helps make this not feel uncomfy), but it's closer to Heedo being the one with the influence over Yijin than the opposite. So if it were romantic at this point it doesn't feel like he's pressuring her into it, because she would definitely be the one pushing him with their current relationship vibe at the moment. It's a nice twist but I'm also glad they're not rushing into this plot point and leaving it up in the air a bit until it feels right.

Yijin's goal is to bring his family back together, Hee-do's goal is to become yurim's rival. That scene with the brother was so hard to watch tho. I felt sad for both of them lol I'm such a crybaby 😭 but yes the highlights of this show are the fencing moments for sure. It's not my favorite studio dragon drama (it's okay to not be okay & Mr. Queen) but it's higher than CLOY & Vincenzo for me.

yeah, this show really does provoke so many emotions. i would get so upset, happy, sad, after each episode as if i was a part of this world and everything that happened affected me directly. it really really pulled me in! even watching this now i ended up tearing up a few times during some scenes and not necessarily just at the sad ones haha the actors do such an amazing job, especially nam joohyuk. he nails it every single time and i just want to protect him haha kim taeri is also fantastic of course, but i think she shines more later on in the series. anyways, it's been really interesting seeing your thoughts on the show develop! i'm kind of sad we'll be taking a break when you're in korea, but that's going to be a super exciting time too :)

I really like the thought of the show itself growing along with Yijin as he's trying to figure out what to do and who he is. That never really crossed my mind but it really fits and will probably show even more in the next few episodes. Again, really appreciate all the thoughts that go into your analysis, it's a very different show from what you guys used to watch on drama club but I love how you're still trying to figure out all the details and hints the drama gives you. Looking forward to the next reaction!

The ending sequence will always be engraved in my heart!! Ugh the feels! It’s just so beautiful! I always find it so interesting how PD views Studio Dragon. As a drama watcher I usually look at the individuals involved in the drama, like who the writer and director are, rather than the production company.

About the scene that you mentioned with them repeating the recording on the phone, you should definitely watch the girl of the 20 century movie, it has something very similar to what you mentioned that you wrote. Also it’s very good and beautiful, and it’s also set 20 years ago
