If you're looking for comedic music, I recommend Bo Burnham. His humor isn't for everyone, but a lot of his stuff is pretty funny

Want y’all to know that I really love these podcasts. I actually got up early one morning and cooked breakfast. I can’t tell how long it’s been since I’ve did that. You really encouraged me to get up and do something.

Joke rap is already a thing! In Germany at least. The two names that come to mind are 257ers and Alligatoah. I haven't listened to 257ers in a long time but their 2016 album Mikrokosmos was on repeat back in the day. They rap about wood (like, actual lumber) and all the amazing uses it has, how to be the biggest cheapskate one can possibly be and how Elton John is their biggest inspiration and they wanna be just like him. Alligatoah is more satirical. Songs about dads who brag how their son is the greatest but all it reveals is what a shitty abusive dad they are. Or poking fun at famous people who are famous for being famous. Or how easily he is influenced by commercials and just wants to indulge in unhealthy consumerism. His songs are absolutely hilarious on a surface level but there is always an aspect of social criticism. And then he went and even made fun of that, how songs that criticise the shitty aspects of the world don't really make a difference. Or my favourite German band, Electric Callboy. They don't rap, they're a Metalcore band. But just watch the music videos for We Got The Moves or Pump It and you'll get what I mean. Their music is in English, so it should be easier to follow along than 257ers or Alligatoah. I am constantly surprised at how cheap it is to get a drivers license in the US. I paid over 2000€ for my license, including all the mandatory lessons. And now I don't even have a car anymore because car ownership is too expensive. Very excited to see Jessi on her Europe tour next month!
