We are taking votes for the next drama club series!

Recently we wrapped up three dramas: Flower of Evil, Vincenzo, and The Devil Judge! A few months ago we asked for your suggestions for our next series of drama club entries, and we've curated the top suggestions for you all to vote here!

OMG AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO WAS EXPECTING ‘OUR BELOVED SUMMER’ TO BE ON THE LIST 🥺 Literally the best drama I have seen in a while. There are a few good dramas on the poll but, I personally think Our Beloved Summer tops everything on this list.

Okay, I’m enjoying Mouse, but I’d say it is THE DARKEST of all the police/law&order kdramas i’ve watched so far. The episodes are also on the longer side (I’m used to a kdrama being about an hour per episode; Mouse is 1.5hrs)

I would be up to watch Snow Drop with PD and Blair BUT I haven't seen a single reaction to it without racist fucking comments from both sides of the isle. People that have and have no problems with it. I don't think PD would have anything against discussions as long as everyone stays friendly but as much as I love our Patreon community I really don't know if I trust us to stay inside the acceptable.

Hospital Playlist is just such a touching drama focusing on the good in people. The group of friends in the drama is so wholesome to watch and made me wish I had such a friend group. I hope it gets voted!

I'm hoping for Nevertheless because after all the dramas we watched the last few months I want something more realistic for a change but if it turns out to be CLOY, MYNAME and Alice I would still be happy. I just need at least 1 Drama the next months that doesn't have guns in it... Oh wait 🤣

All of them are so good but I’ll always advocate for Mouse cause I feel you would really like that one PD as well as all the others but Mouse is something else! For anyone that hasn’t watched it I really recommend it

I've avoided watching Crash Landing On You like the plague despite it being consider iconic and a classic because of romance and I've thought it was a rom com. This are the type of dramas I refuse to watch alone. If PD watches it, then of course I will (try) too

Also…if Alice wins…I want to make it clear that it is a bit more intense/gorey than Squid Game. Some people might not be as comfortable watching it. I highly recommend if it wins to put out a lighter drama for people who might not want to see that ❤️

Crash landing on you is in my opinion as close to a perfect drama as you can ever get. It has drama, suspense, perfect side characters, heart, amazing storyline, impeccable cinematography, scenes that keep you on your toes. Scenes that make you cry. A bit of romance, and the perfect OST’s. Also..the leads are incredible and actually are getting married irl!

Beyond Evil SWEPT Baeksang Art Awards. It won Best picture, Best script, Best actor award. Also praised by critics. Every episode has a twist, It's a remarkable series with an unexpected story, excellent immersion and quality (Not like most series that fails miserably after a good start) with a heavy message.

and in case any fans see this and want to debunk me: the victims families themselves have said they wanted the show taken off air, respected korean historians from harvard yonsei and ewha have spoken against it, a snowdrop rep has stated that one of the missions of the drama was to show that the nsa are also normal people, and the writer of the drama is very literally friends with far right conservative politician and current presidential candidate yoon seokyeol and has said that hes helped her with her drama scripts before. there are many other dramas and films that discuss the democratization movement better such as youth of may.

Just doing a quick Roundup of the ones I voted for My Name: while it is a little bit darker I actually think my name is in the vein of an action movie. It's an enjoyable adrenaline ride and the fact that it's only eight episodes is nice. Sky Castle: it's a drama I have never seen despite all of the unending praise for it and I'd be interested to see it along with pd/Blair. I also feel like there will be a lot of good commentary on Korean culture and the education system. Alice in Borderland: I have not finished this show but I watched the first 6 episodes and I understand why people love it. It is also be interesting to see if PD has any commentary on the differences between Japanese and Korean filmmaking/storytelling and cinematography. I don't know how many dramas will be in this next batch but I have no doubt that crash landing on you will be one of them the only thing I can say is I've tried to watch it on about three different occasions. The furthest I made was episode 12. For me I can fully acknowledge that it's a high quality show but I just have no connection to it I don't feel the 'magic' and it's not because I don't like romance. Willing to try again and see if I make it to the end this time. Dramas I'd like to see on a future poll: Yumi's Cells, all of us are dead, Bulgasal: Immortal Souls, uncanny counter (clearly I lean towards the fantasy side lol)

I can't say that any of these options really interest me, but that also might be because I've not seen any of them... I do wish you'd give some older, more well known kdramas a chance instead of just all the recent ones. There's some amazing classics that I've recommended on other posts but don't seem to stand out unfortunatly. I'll probably drop into whatever you end up watching but I did wanna preface my wish for you to check out some of the classics from previous years :)

For some reason I just never felt that "Crash Landing" was amazing. I know I'm in the minority there but it just didn't speak to me. I just feel that the characters are a little "meh." I think there is a lot more characterization/development in the other shows but again this is totally subjective.

I agree! I checked it out to see what was the hype. And I was underwhelmed by the story. It was interesting in the first half but got boring in the second half. I think what sold the show to a lot of people was the undeniable chemistry between the two leads. If it was anybody else I think there wouldn't be any hype.

I personally want to see a soft, lighthearted rom com or comedy to balance the darker dramas we've been watching these couple months. Squid Game, The Devil Judge, Vincenzo, and Flower of Evil were all great dramas, but I think a change could be nice for once. As PD said on the most recent ep of Penthouse, "I have nothing else to invest in besides Rona and Seokhoon's relationship". Well then, why not give him a drama that's the total opposite of Penthouse? Give him a show where he actually can root for almost all the characters. For these reasons, I'm going to go with either Hospital Playlist or CLOY.

Sadly Our Beloved Summer is not on the option. One of the best light-hearted/rom-com dramas in my opinion. I barely watch romantic stuff cause I honestly prefer crime dramas such as Flower of Evil but for some reason, I was really hooked by this show. It's simply fun but it captivates you at the same time. Hoping to see PD and Blaire's reaction on this soon!

Beyond evil is truly top tier and underrated to the international audience i feel. Even if not in a reaction it is a must watch. The suspense and tension grips you from the very begining. Not to mention the amazing acting. You thought flower of evil was suspensful and mysterious. This blows it out the park. Highly highly highly recommend

If you're missing Lee Seung-gi after Loud then please please watch Mouse ! It's too bad that they are so few votes for this one... maybe because not a lot of people have seen it ? For future lists, i suggest One Ordinary Day, one of my favorite thriller drama from 2021, and Happiness that has an original take on zombie k-dramas. Both are very good and i recommend them to anyone looking for a good dark show to binge !

PLSS PICK CLOY!! it's a lot different from the dramas you've reacted to (as opposed to alice in borderland which is kinda like a thriller/survival theme similar to squid game) and i think it will definitely be refreshing for u and everyone watching !! the humor, plot, chemistry between all the characters is soo amazing
