I've never been outside of europe so i can’t compare it to other places, but i think its pretty much expected to be very nice & friendly if you work in service here. It doesn’t seem to be just a northern european thing either from my experiences in spain?

I agree with the caramel ice cream hot take. Also, I am from Paris and I think that maybe people here are really expressive? Like they show emotions on their face a lot. However in Paris half the people are really nice and half the people look super depressed or annoyed lol

you’re right PD! they filmed this in between knock knock and signal era so it was around 2017 april-may iirc. also i think nayeon and momo were laughing at the drinks because it didn’t suit their tastes, but they couldn’t really say it outright that it was bad 😂 they eventually released a knock knock performance video in switzerland so i think it’d be nice for you to watch it at the end too

Personally I would say it is common to smile a lot in the northern european countries atleast. I am German and most people that I know and I see on a daily basis smile a lot. Especially something I know about me is that I always smile when I realize someone os foreign because being foreign in a country is often pretty scary and terrifying because you don't even speak the language. I am mostly smiling to encourage the foreigner and I am personally always happy when people visit a different country.

For reference on twices ages, now in 2021 (in regular international age) Nayeon is the oldest at 26 and Tzuyu and Chaeyoung are the youngest at 22

i’m from germany and i’ve been to a few european countries and it is completely normal to be super nice at the counter etc. so if somebody isn’t smiling or saying bye and stuff like that we actually see this person as very unfriendly

I agree with the others who commented before me, usually in most of Europe it's common to behave that really nice and polite way towards customers. However I gotta say at least in Germany, once you're on the streets and it comes to normal encounters everyone is very resevered and barely greets or says anything towards each other which is different from what I experienced during traveling in North America (mostly Canada).
