“Something about the way the Rock with you mv is filmed and edited, it looks like live action anime.” -PD just now as we watched Rock with you again. Then we watched it again and screamed the entire time 😂

When will PD react to the album? I think they’ll lose it even more!! 😆😆😆

I think Rock with you is officially my new favorite Seventeen song, I just resonated with it on a different level <3

rock with you has gotta be one of my fave svt title tracks. i don’t even know what my other favorites are lmao, i just know this is one of them. i can’t wait to watch pd lose their mind over the rest of the album

I'm really glad you guys liked the song. Like what pd said on the reaction video as much as I loved their albums when it comes to the title track this is probably their biggest comeback since Home and Fear era. I'm so excited for you guys to listen to the whole album. As always, it's a masterpiece. Also, i'm still waiting for that Bittersweet reaction. I think you guys should hear that before diving into the whole album because the HHU song is a cultural reset!

Just like PD, there was something about this track and MV that made me so emotional. After rewatching I think I figured out that it's the way it seems to be such a post-pandemic love note (not that we're out of it, but things seem to be slowly going back to ~normal). The message I get from the track is them asking the viewer to stay, saying they want to rock with you, the end of the MV where they're performing on stage and it appears to flash between a full and empty audience.. it just gives me the feeling of them thanking the fans for holding out and waiting for them to be able to perform/rock with us again. Add on that this comes post contract renewals as well. It just feels so genuine and the song really let's them emote that. ;_;

Okay i really need to write this all down. What i have just experienced is just so exceptional. I was sooo in love with rock with you when i saw the music video yesterday. But i wasnt expecting much when i decided to listen to the album today because i haven't been following that much of seventeen and haven't listened to a lot of their albums. But oh my god - this is my favourite album of the year. They made me feel things that i didnt think i could feel right now in my life. It was like euphoria. ..i dont know why people even do drugs when you can feel this way with music. Every cell in my body was like lit up with music and i was dancing like crazy and smiling like a fool and screaming like a maniac. And on the second last song i had tears in my eyes. It was just a beautiful journey. I think it's also because the album was so heavily rock based. I really like the rock sound and i used to have this rock phase where i was so into the classic rock bands but i was so influenced by my ex boyfriend to get into all those. But this !?? Rock blended so beautifully with kpop is just so tailor made to my liking that i am so happy to say that this ... THIS IS WHAT I LIKE !

Exactly my thoughts after the initial hype of feels. It's as though they listened to our prayers but instead of making Run to You or Together an anime opening, they created an even better song and then put it over their own film, which is just *explodes* We all cried/teared up listening to the album PD. We won't have you be the exception lol Looking forward to the listening party !

so we've all agreed that 'rock with you' is 'ready to love's' older hotter sister.

formoftherapy

No, ready to love is the trope of the main love interest wearing glasses. Rock with you is ready to love walking down the stairs and taking off their glasses.

2021-10-26 21:53:24 Rock With You is a great song…and I would have loved it if it had come out several years ago. But this is 2021, and while it is well put together it feels juvenile and safe. I’m definitely a believer in a group retaining brighter sounds as they mature, and we saw this with Left&Right/Homerun. But Rock With You lacks oomph; It didn’t really even commit to the pop-punk sound it was referencing. (2-1 did that all the way though, thank god. Felt like I was reliving the mid aughts of my childhood.) Crush would have had more impact as a title track.
