In yesterday’s IN THE SOOP episode someone mentioned that I was on my phone too much and not watching the screen and I just wanted to briefly address that.

1) I was doing both. I know not everyone can do this but I can process multiple things at once and carry full conversations while doing something else. It’s also why I have like 4-6 monitors usually and even when I’m video editing or doing other work I have multiple videos running. Blaire can attest to this.

2) If you’ve been with us for a while or watch most of our Patreon videos you’ll know I don’t stay on my phone too much. I’ll answer like a quick text here and there but I am usually not distracted.

3) Yesterday in particular I WAS on my phone for an extended period because I was monitoring my security cameras due to suspicious activity.

While filming IN THE SOOP I received a notification on my phone that my cameras picked up movement at my door. I pulled it up to check and see this man and a kid. They never knocked or rang the door bell. They just stood there and stared into my camera and then started taking PICTURES of my security system.

Then they BROKE INTO into my backyard. I have no idea what they did there. I was looking at my phone because I was monitoring to make sure he did not try to break into the house because the moment he did I would have to go rush to grab a weapon and defend my home.

Ordinarily I wouldn’t go into this detail but even I acknowledge I was on my phone longer than the usual just answering a text, so I wanted to clear up any misunderstandings.

Please understand I quit social media for a reason. I don’t subscribe to scroll culture and if I’m on my phone it’s 80% for work or putting out personal fires like this.

Just wanted to address that concern cus I’m sure several people also noticed it.

As for this dude, I’m currently investigating.

PS: I also totally acknowledge you are here for a REACTION and it’s not what you signed up for if I’m distracted. So next time I WILL pause the video and resume when it is resolved if a similar situation arises in the future.
