That's the funny thing that I noticed with twice and red velvet, like you mentioned, they are very professional up front. Their variety stuff on the other hand shows how close they are. Red Velvets Level Up Project is quite out there for instance

I think twice does have a sisterhood and this is coming from a ONCE who has watched all their content. I think that for larger productions like Seize the Light, they are trying to keep up that professional image, as this is content to try and turn non-fans into fans. but in like Time To Twice and their older variety content their sisterhood shines more because there is less pressure of non-ONCE seeing it, so they are more free to let that image fall a bit. and its an interesting juxtaposition because there are members like my bias dahyun where they are seen as kind of weird and crazy and funny on screen, but we really don't ever learn any more about her like what she enjoys other than chocolate and twice songs (not that she owes it to us at all to tell us this stuff), but there are members who do keep up less of that professional front. I think that Seize the light is a great first show to start with for Twice, but i do hope you get to other content of theirs because often times their other shows show behind that curtain more

as a long-time fan, i do agree that it’s pretty hard to sense out twice’s relationship through proper broadcasts or bigger shows. i think the members definitely feel more comfortable filming something when it’s just the 9 of them and that’s usually when you get to see more of their personalities and dynamics! if you’re looking for a series that really showcases them just being them, i’d recommend their TTT Healing Camp series; it’s just the girls out in nature, chilling and doing whatever they want to do so it’s a pretty good start to gauge their personalities. with that said though, i think a lot of the more personal content that twice provides to fans are actually their vlive broadcasts! they’ve been using vlive since debut and they’re one of the bigger groups that still use it till today. their streams give fans some of the best moments of twice and i’m sure most onces would agree. there’s a lot to delve into though, and i mean A LOT, when it comes to their vlive broadcasts so it’s pretty hard to choose a specific one but any live with almost all the members are good starts if you want to see all of them!

I would personally recommend the 2 series that got me into twice. Twice Private Life and Twice TV. They really cemented my love for this group and are a good place to start I think.

yeah its just seize the light theyre way more close with eachother through their other variety twice just recently did a vlog series you can check out 1 vid for each member and then group vid not neccesarrily deep but since its vlog and just them at home and doing normal stuff you can see more of them id say but yes theirs definitely a sisterhood type relationship with them especially after sixteen the mina and jeongyeon anxiety issues theyve only gotten closer even though they didnt know eachother before and about the jyp celebrity image yeah you just gotta watch more twice theres definitely not that image theyre very embarrasing sometimes lol in a good way. i think that here its just that mina is very introverted so of course she wouldnt feel comfortable talking its kinda like irene of rv shes super boxed up in terms of her emotions her members say she never talks about her feelings to them with irene though shes still able to take care of her members though thats why shes leader but mina is very introverted and as an introvert myself it can be very hard to talk to anyone about stuff like that or even express emotion even if you dearly love them. Plus since this was filmed theyve gotten a lot more freedom too chae has her whole upper body tattoed membersc are participating in making songs theyre not all in a single dorm theyre in groups of 3 and are getting a lot more control over their personal lives i think the mina thing was a turning point for twice if you look at the way their music and variety content changed they seem to be way more happier its not like blackpink where they trained together for years twice were never together except jihyo nayeon jeongyeon nd some j line it took time to gewt close but i could be blind as a fan so who knows id like to think after watching kpop this long and being 22 years old i can tell the difference between fake and real like irene i wasnt surprised or soojin but at the same time i didnt care because i knew the behing stories with red velvet and all the issues they have with their staff and soojin i dont care because i dont consider that bullying or care about school stuff unless its physically harming someone soojin is tsundere and everyone knows it so i wasnt surprised nor did i care because it wasnt that serious its just some spoiled rich girl acting hurt now that idle is famous

I think it's interesting that you couldn't get an impression of twice's relationship with each other, but I suppose as a fan from the beginning it was easy for me to tell how close they are. Of course, fans will never know the whole truth, but these girls are practically joined at the hip, even when they're given the option to be by themselves. They willingly still live with each other, during their breaks they go on vacations with each other and their families, foreign members often celebrate Chuesok or other Korean holidays with the Korean members' families if they can't fly back home. It's one thing to be friends with someone, but personally, I'd have to be really close with someone to comfortably take them on a family vacation or holiday. Even the few times a member may have a solo schedule, they often lament how they feel lonely and empty because the other girls aren't around. Twice have talked about how if there were arguments or quarrels among each other they would gather in the evening and talk it out. What I think Dahyun's statement really means is that the girls aren't really the type to share hardships at all, not necessarily saying that they aren't close and that's why they don't share with each other. I'm close with my brother, I trust him with my life and all that but I'm just not the type to share my worries like that.

Twice are very professional when it comes to public shows/interviews and stuff like that, as they should be however the twice members themselves are very close to each other. They have said that they discuss big decisions between them all before the final verdict, they have a "Twice" bank account that jihyo manages to pay for stuff like a birthday cake for the members. After making enough money to definitely buy their own house to live in, they chose to move in together anyways with 3 members in their own apartment with their own bedrooms. There was a showcase for one of their comebacks where they were very professional and "stiff" but that was because a lot of entertainment journalists were also watching that showcase and as soon as that portion of the showcase was over with, they visibly relaxed and goofed around and became the Twice that us fans now them as. The best things to watch to get a feel of twice's personality is variety shows esp idol room, twice tv, TTT, and TW-Log which is a member vlog. Since Twice is going to be a 6 year old group, they became more comfortable to show their real personalities on vlive, on bubble, on their reality tvs, etc.

Actually, in my opinion, Twice seem like actual sisters. Like so many girl groups give off the feeling of being a really good friend group but Twice literally act like sisters. Like for example, family is family and you don't have to act a certain way around them since the dynamic is just so natural, which is why I guess people don't find them relatable because people just have different thoughts about how a sibling relationship should be. Like idk, when they said they don't really talk about hardships that's when I completely understood because I have that same dynamic with my own sisters. It's like we're really close but to other people we seem distant(lol) and we don't really talk about our hardships with each other because we already understand without being told or talking about it.

When I first watched Seize the Light, I was also really jarred by what Dahyun had said. It's a bit confusing what she meant because there are a lot of interviews from them that say the opposite of what was said in the docuseries (including by Dahyun herself who said that they talk about their feelings together often). If I were to take a swing at it, I think the members all internalize their feelings or struggles to some extent depending on their personalities (maybe they don't want to make the others worried?). For example, Tzuyu has mentioned multiple times in twice content and interviews that she tends to just sleep when she is feeling very stressed or overwhelmed. Even Dahyun is considered pretty mysterious by the members (unnie line mostly) since she doesn't share much about herself in general. We only know as much as they disclose and it can be hard to distinguish what is a company mandated line/image and what is the truth. I personally think they're close just given how much of their free time is spent with one another and how much they cherish each other's handmade gifts (they make each other gifts A LOT).

TWICE are full of introverts, so it makes sense that they internalize a lot of things and dont talk about them.

As a long time once, I know you’ll soon get to twice content like many time to twice “seasons” or twice tv’s where u will gain a more developed understanding of twices relationship. But yeah, from the looks of it, twice really are like family. When they’re on breaks, many of them are still together. I think I remember tzuyu going home with jeongyeon (maybe momo too but I forgot). And momo went on vacation to Hawaii with nayeon. I think, twice are just mostly all quite introverted (except for sana, who says she always feels the need to be with others) and likely don’t share all of their thoughts always. I think dahyun especially. Obviously, I don’t know her personal life, but even after all these years, fans don’t know much about dahyun like her hobbies or music taste. So perhaps in that clip dahyun was largely speaking for herself. But who knows!

When Tzuyu said they mostly figure out their hardships by themselves, I believe it was in context with Mina's situation. I believe the members do talk it out or help each other most of the time, but I'll assume it's hard for them to help in this case since there's no guidebook they can refer to to handle anxiety issues that stemmed suddenly as a celebrity. Plus Mina being a quiet person, I feel like she would try to resolve it herself... Adding on the fact that they are idols watched who are constantly being scrutinised and judged, it will be even more difficult for Mina to talk about it freely. Just my thoughts. I do think it's quite interesting how you came into the conclusion that you couldn't see sisterhood in TWICE though. But I feel like that's mostly because of the Seize The Light docuseries being a big production which, in my opinion, is quite detached from the totally personal side of the members. Seize The Light had showed us a lot of the behind the scenes happenings and events for the TWICELIGHTS concert tour, while discussing their hardships and just barely sprinkling snippets here and there about their personalities and relationships with each other. Being a long time ONCE, it's not bad to see this kind of production since it showed another side of their professionalism. I would understand why it's hard to gauge the presence of sisterhood here though, especially just from watching this alone - for one, the content of this documentary felt very very selectively controlled. It's really hard to say what would be a perfect show/series to check out in order to fully know their personalities and relationships with each other, but a few does come into mind like TWICE TV2, TWICE's Private Life, TWICE TV5 in Switzerland and TWICE TV6. Though, the one best way to really know TWICE is watching their VLives (but that will be too farfetched). Still, your conclusion did open up another perspective about TWICE. From what I feel, they are close like sisters, but I guess there are a lot of times they (mostly JYPE) cherry-picked what can be shown or told and what can't - there's only so much they can do to maintain idol-fan relationship whilst still protecting their privacies. Just as mentioned, the bond in a girl group that formed from survival show is evidently tighter and stronger; TWICE didn't start out straight this way though because they all have their own personalities and they all came from different backgrounds. But throughout the years they had slowly learned to talk with, rely on and care for each other. Even more so, I think what TWICE went through after their debut were a factor in how they grew much closer. Like personally, and ironically, I feel that one infamous flag controversy that happened right after their debut actually helped to tighten their bonds even more. Then with Cheer Up suddenly bringing TWICE into the bright limelight just after their debut phase, these girls suddenly had to live up to the title of being a top girl group just as the never-ending harsh criticisms started coming for them.. I felt like the experiences these 9 girls had throughout the 6 years together are what made TWICE who they are now - sisters through thick and thin.

eight out of the members are introverts and they're all extremely private people so I totally get why you see their relationship the way you do, especially when seize the light is your first introduction into their personalities and such - I personally don't think this series' format allowed any form of deep dive into their dynamics, but I don't think that was the purpose in the first place..... seize the light rrly works a lot better for onces, and i do hope to see more twice content here pd, because i kid you not these nine girls are soulmates and one of the only kpop groups in which i can really feel their connection and just how important they are to each other
