the exercise that hani described is a common way to practice mindfulness. it's a good way to do a small check in with your body and become aware of your surroundings and really take them in. I've done a similar thing, where I've gone for a walk and decided to focus on one of my senses. For example, if i focus on my sight, i'll try to look at my surroundings like i've never seen them before, really take in the way the light falls on the leaves on the trees, the details of the pavement or path beneath my feet, the way the clouds move on the sky, etc. You can do that with your hearing, your touch/skin or your sense of smell too. I know this is going to sound cheesy as hell but we often don't go out without having a destination in mind, i find myself rushing to get to where i need to go without enjoying the walk/trip itself. It's nice to go for a walk just to be outside and take in your surroundings. I'm rambling but this show makes me very happy...

It might sound arrogant of me but when I started watching the show I immediately thought about you PD, I truly hoped you could watch this and truly hoped it could be of some help or advice or a source of solace for you. I'm not gonna lie you've been through probably more than most people I know of and I really admire your resiliency. Please be well. Now, on to the amazing finale.

I loved Hani's mindfulness technique. Especially in quarantine right now, I feel like I'm often living "out of focus," so to speak. Then suddenly, I'll have moments where I come back to the present, like I start really *seeing* my environment; this seems to happen a lot when I'm in nature hiking. I think in 2021, I don't really want to achieve or accomplish anything so much as feel and revel more in the present. And breathe more. It's crazy how shallow and weak my breathing becomes when my mind and emotions are burnt out.
