Thilde

Woooooo can't wait to watch this!

CRAYON weiwen

Finally can start watch it xD

lovehynjn

the rest of the phone calls and a lot of behind the scenes stuff r on mnets channel or the artists channel (like the boyz released practice videos of their performances)

Heather O

The reason why some of the sets are the same is because some of the groups are from the same company as some of the queendom groups. Both ONF and Oh My Girl are from WM and both Golden Child and Lovelyz are from Woollim (as well as Oneus and Mamamoo both being from RBW and Pentagon and (G)-IDLE from Cube) so it is the company room.

2021-07-18 05:39:41 Just watched the latest episode this morning, but I'm going to rewatch it all with you because the performances are that good, & I watched this 1st episode live so I actually haven't seen it subbed (though my Korean comprehension's decent). Oh yeah, & I'm interested to hear what PD thinks. P.S: For those of you who haven't seen it yet, you're not ready for ep.3.

Imo ONEUS deserved better than 6th. And I know it obviously wasn't a requirement or anything for the 90 second round but I think they deserve some extra credit for actually singing live as well.

lovehynjn

definitely agree with u when u said that some of the groups failed to rlly show their own style and color but im rlly excited to see your reaction to their future performances bc imo golden child rlly starts developing a distinct performance "style" in the second and third rounds n they stand out from the other groups bc they dont stick to a "strong hard hitting boy group style" also the third round rlly steps up the performances like wow

Mira S

I really loved hearing your perspective on the performances it was very different compared to others i've read. I was also worried about the lack of diversity, but starting next round you will definitely see more variety in the concepts..They are insane!!

lovehynjn

**second and third episodes lmao idk why i keep confusing them

lovehynjn

also its not super clear in the show but i think they keep doing self evaluations for the rest of the rounds (except the live final im guessing)

Hilda Diaz

I really enjoyed re-watching this episode with you! your laugh is priceless!! can't wait for other episodes! Thank you for making my day!

Pooge

i have recently been diving much deeper into the boyz and i have been absolutely floored by their performances! i can't wait for pd to see their 2nd and 3rd performances

Skipz12

YES! Im really excited to watch this

Malaki.H

He reminds of johnny from nct PD

Rachel Barrett

Hey PD, I wanted to warn you ahead of time for, for episode 2 they will only show 5 out of the 7 performances for the first round of the competition. In episode 3, they will show the last two performances of the first round and the first performance of the second round of the competition. Then in episode 4, they will show the other 5 performances of the second round. It’s all kind of confusing and I have no clue why they set it up this way, but I thought that I would warn you ahead of time.

Thilde

They did that a few times on Queendom as well, i don't think it was that confusing. Typical of Mnet honestly

Rachel Barrett

Oh I see, ok. I didn’t watch Queendom so I didn’t know, but thank you for clearing that up.

excellen

Agreed that some performances kind of blended together AND not all groups really went with theme of the mission that was to show who was your group in 90 seconds. Although it didn't count, I liked the voting system for the groups...WAY better than Queendom's "who do you think is below and above your perfomance". But I also agree that the system is not really objective...because they will vote for the performance they thought it was the most cool looking or hard hitting or even with more acrobatics. So I expect some injustice in the rankings if they keep only the groups voting. And for a show that sells the idea of giving the spotlight for groups that are always in the background, it makes no sense to have eliminations, so I hate that not all groups will have the chance to perform all rounds and show more to the public and maybe leave the background in the end. For the group that leaves first, depending on the screen time they get till that time, it will almost be a waste to have been on the show.

Doyoungismyult

Why would you get mad about them having fun and joking with eachother to meet? It is funny and different and they were just playing around...

Harley

I've always thought Wyatt reminds me of Jisoo the actor.

M.C.

Wyatt reminds me of a Monsta X member, but not really a specific one. He has aspects from I.M and Hyungwon in my opinion

Talise Snyder

I agree with your ranking- Pentagon and the Boyz's performances are the only ones that were memorable for me

希文 王

for me, probably the boyz, pentagon and oneus, the boyz had more stand out elements, pentagon was like a musical, oneus actually sung, the rest were cool dance performances, but really didn't show anything different from the others :(

Portal_Paw

I hope they don’t do this stupid self evaluation stuff again

formoftherapy

Idk it didn’t add to the show’s competition element? The second interactions with Pentagon and more were funny but still added to the competitive aspect but hey that’s just me; as long as you enjoyed it that’s all that matters

Condensed Milk

Wyatt with his hair down reminds me of Bang Yongguk for some reason

Alexa

Me personally, I enjoyed the banter back and forth with The Boyz and Golden Child because I feel like it doesn't have to be serious all the time. The show has little comedy in it and I think they're just bringing some life into the show.

DavidEE

I'm starting to think PD wants to watch this show more so for Dahee lmao

Vairani Harapoi

It is true that Golcha and Verivery performances are interchangeable but it also represents them a lot, so they kind of did their job but i admit i wished we saw more of their colors for their introduction. When i say it represents them a lot it's because both verivery and Golcha are known for their very neat- clean and sharp syncronisation and that is what they showed. Unfortunately both group showed similar performances and honestly the first time isaw the episode i could not remember which group did which performances between Golcha and Verivery.

Mateo

If it helps anybody what I do is watch the performances on YouTube for better quality while watching the other parts of the episode on the streaming site.

Alyssa Howard

Where do you watch the eps?

Jess

I'll try not to say much because I'm caught up on the shows but the boyz really shocked me going forward. And TOO's next performance is legit one of my favorites

Mesha ✌︎

when ep2 reaction is gonna drop?

Oligom

btw, PD, ONF is in WM, same as Oh My Girl, the meeting room is in WM's building. Golcha is in Woolim (same meeting room as lovelyz), Oneus is in RBW, same meeting room as Mamamoo (probably, i dont recalluif they used the same actually) and thats why some places are the same.

Nahed

Guys please can anyone help me I can’t find the rest of the episodes😔😔

Alena

Oh yeah the trolling done towards the boyz on that phone call really frustrated me too! Like you can be funny and stuff but what's the point of even having a conversation if that's all it's gonna be?

RANK FOR 90 SEC CHALLENGE : 1st The Boyz 2nd ONF 3rd Pentagon 4th Golden Child 5th Verivery 6th Oneus 7th TOO

Ulani Barr

So I'm here late but I wanted to comment anyway. I found your rankings very interesting, because of the way you looked at the performances. I went in with a dancer;s mindset and so my rankings were a bit different: Ist The Boyz- the formation changes were really good, there was a great mix of powerful, fast movements as well as the more intricate and slow movements, and the stunts were so cool as well; 2nd Verivery- I hadn't been keeping up with them and had an idea of them as a group but their performance really shocked me, I didn't realise how good they were. They were the most synchronised group (for the majority of their performance), the beginning part was so impactful and really sent a message- the style of dance they chose for that was really interesting; 3rd ONF- I loved that they sung and I loved both song choices as well, they sounded really good. Their choreo was good and they delivered a popular song and one less popular thereby showing their group charms; 4th Golden Child- Loved their performance, I haven't seen them since Damdadi so I was really surprised that they could perform like that, they had some great formation changes and the start was really impactful, they choreo was awesome, I particularly loved the break down at the beginning and the partner work which was a great idea; 5th Oneus- The intro choice was great, they chose some more jazzy type moves and Twilight was a great choice, they sounded good but I know they have so much potential and some of the moves could have been cleaner, I know they can do better; 6th Pentagon- Probably controversial, I did love the intro it was unique and really captivating however I personally didn't find that many of the moves that they used to be different or memorable, I don't love their dance style either so that's why they are so low; 7th TOO- same reasons as you in that for a rookie they performed really well and it was my first time hearing Magnolia so I was pleasantly surprised, but they're still the maknae group and thus have the least amount of stage presence and experience, I simply couldn't put them above the others but there's a lot of room to grow. I needed to come and watch someone else's reactions to all the performances because it's been months and I'm still obsessed! Dance/ performance competition shows are my favourite and there really were some amazing performances so I'm excited to watch the rest of your reactions!

LivKO

I enjoyed how every group had a different definition of what the 90 second performance should be!

Dia

I’m late to this, but I will say I think The Boyz do actually show their colours really well here, once taking into account their following performances. Since this is a performance based competition, they are playing to their strengths in storytelling, acrobatics and dynamic formations. Their choreo is definitely not interchangeable. But that’s hard to tell at this point in the competition, I can only say that now after watching the whole thing lol

wonyein

It says the video doesn't existTT

Kaeldra3

I joined the patreon just to finally watch this series with ya’ll… does anyone know if the video will get fixed?
