I would recommend giving Shadow another listen because there is a whole other verse added to the audio version! It really changed my perspective of the song and hits a lot more than before!

I’m not quite sure what’s up with Friends and it being Hoseok’s theme song for BTS World, but the reason it’s Jimin and Taehyung and it feels so unified is because it’s about their friendship. They’ve been best friends since high school I believe, so they have a lot of references in the song like fighting over dumplings/Jimin calling Tae an alien. It’s also why at the end they say you are my soulmate.

Thank you for your reaction! This is my favourite album from them. It really shows their growth. Every year consecutively, I could hear and see their growth. I love the lyric “We were only seven but now we have you”. I feel the same about all the songs on this album. When I heard the We are bulletproof the eternals it felt like a song that would be played at the end of a movie. It sounds like a resolution. As for the Army, in my heart I believe they will enlist together. I want them to enlist together.

Also you have the two songs mixed up! Friends is the name of the instrumentals to Hoseok's part in the game but it's a different song! The Vmin song Friends was written by Jimin and they sing it together because Jimin and Tae are both 95 liners and are the closest in terms of friendships. They even refer to each other as soulmates like in the song.

LOL I was just coming in here to mention that cuz I was really confused when I got to that part in your reaction PD. they have two different songs titled Friends the one on the game is a totally different song and is just an instrumental theme.

And honestly i love this album but the HYYH2 and WINGS continue to sit on top for me..... stay safe PD!

I'd agree, PD, all of this content and everything in BigHit's Q1 update point to BTS enlisting all at once. I mean, BigHit is scheduled to debut 3 new groups over the next two years, as well as KDrama based on the BTS Universe. They've definitely baked BTS's absence into their five-year plan. I also think that BTS separated would just be painful for them as friends. They're so tight, I can't imagine they'd be willing to be apart for so long...

Thank you for throwing respect on Seokjin’s name. Having a solo song that isn’t a ballad is huge for him and I am so happy to see that people really like it. Also I literally can’t listen to WAB: The Eternal because it makes me so emotional. I skip it every time. It’s an incredible song but I don’t feel like sobbing on a Tuesday afternoon lol

As a fan I don’t mind waiting 2 yrs. Hell im a Beyoncé super fan she disappears for 3 yrs plus at a time and Im still here waiting and always will be. BTS work so well as a unit as 7 that it really doesn’t make sense to have a BTS anything without all 7 members. I’ve always thought they would go together it just made sense. It’s why i don’t mind all of Big Hit’s new Business investments because BTS were for so long their sole money maker. So I’m like yes debut more groups/ make more deals/ expand the company because it takes pressure off the boys. So yes I hope Big Hit( and they can) sustain the money loss because I would rather them go to the military together. Plus the boys actually want to be together.And that separation period would be tough on them.

army for the most part avoids talking about enlistment openly, bc a lot of us are emotional and don’t really want to think about it yet lmfao. but since Ego dropped, and put a perfect period on their entire career in hobi’s last verse- im pretty sure a lot of us have been expecting them to announce they’re all going together. i’d prefer it tbh. even tho the tours been postponed, it’s okay for me to wait 2 years to see them. i just want them all together, we know they love eachother.

When I first listened to the album I felt like this was their best release since Wings era. Since then I keep remembering more great songs and moments from the LY era, and I like that era more then I did the MOTS persona album. But the new material in 7 is really great. I keep going back and forth with my opinion on whether the songs sound American/western or not. But I remember going through that with pretty much all of the LY albums as well and in the end it doesn't matter because it's BTS' music and they're great songs. The thing that sticks out to me the most in this album is the genuine emotion I feel from it. The way it seems to speak about very personal things. It feels like looking through a photo album of the boys' career, reminiscing and talking about what they've learned and what we've learned with and from them. Shadow is probably my favorite song. But then I'm Yoongi biased and he sounds sooo amazing on that track and I looove the beat and the message. Then Louder then Bombs gets me super emotional. I also love the groove of My Time. And yeah WAB the eternal is just something else......... made me cry imagining listening to it at a concert. As for your question, I would prefer the boys all going together to the military. 1 year and 8 months feels relatively short and it would preserve the perfect synergy of BTS as a whole. And at this point I feel like the fanbase is so strong, we can survive that and just entertain ourselves during the hiatus. I mean there's so much old BTS content I haven't seen yet.. vlives, DVD's etc... when you work full time it's a lot to keep up with, so that's what I would do to still feel connected to the boys, catch up on content I've missed.

Great listening party as always! Loved your reaction and commentaries about the album and yeah, I agree with you about them being able to enlist together. It makes sense with their history and it would be great to see them going through it as "one". It would be strange and sad to see them divided. This album is amazing with a lot of different vibes but all adding to a whole intense experience. When you listen to all songs together it just gives a sense of fullness and hope (without the Sia track, that was unnecessary) . I cannot pick favs in this album. It always depends on what I'm feeling at the moment, all of them gives me a different sensation but I the ones that hit me harder were Black Swan, Inner Child, Moon, We are bulletproof 2: the eternal, 00:00 and Ugh. hahhaha

Thank you so much for this listening party, I truly appreciate it, I’m not finished watching yet but I stopped at friends to let you know that the songs is about Jimin and Tae’s friendship throughout the years and how they grew together and how they’re each other’s soulmate. I’m not sure where the bts world came in but I just wanted to clarify for you :)

Ok I’ve finished it now haha, I cannot choose my favorite top 5 songs lol but Moon and WAB are definitely tied to be #1. Fun fact, Jin wrote moon strictly for Army and I just find that so endearing. I personally would rather them enlist all together even though we’d all miss them so much, but i’d rather them go in as 7 and come out as 7 :’)

Thank you for your reaction! We don't share the same fave songs at all, except for Black Swan and UGH, but I'm glad you enjoyed the album so much! From what I've read/seen, it seems most people really love all songs from 00:00 to WAB:TE, whereas I personally don't so much (minus Respect that I do enjoy)? I mean, don't get me wrong, I really love the lyrics of all these songs, how genuine they are and what they mean (then again I'm Namjoon biased and he did write most of it so there is that), and I'm sure if I were to see MOTS live I'd have the biggest dopey smile nonetheless and bawl my eyes out during WAB. But idk, when I just listen to these songs on my own, musically they just don't do much for me? Idk if it's because I'm a sad bish or because it's been a weird couple of months overall or what, but I just don't really vibe with it and I haven't added any of these to my playlists, I only listen to them if I feel like listening to the whole album, which is not as often as I have with previous albums. Ego really gets my mood up though, and I find Respect fun too and I love its old-school hiphop sound. But i really REALLY adore Black Swan, Louder than bombs, Shadow, UGH and ON from day one, and that hasn't changed almost two months later. But I'm not saying it's a bad album or anything, I love how they poured their whole hearts into it and I agree with you that it's probably gonna be their last korean release before they all enlist (considering they have a japanese one on the way). Plus I do love a good portion of the album, including the Persona era songs, so it's not like I'm disappointed either. I guess it's just a matter of personal musical tastes, and I hope the songs I like less now will grow on me over time, because it makes me a bit sad that I can't enjoy them as fully as everyone else. Anyway wow that was a long rambling, sorry XD

I'm glad you were finally able to get around to listening to the album (even if this new format you teased would have been really interesting to see). I really love this album, no joke I've been listening to it almost nonstop for the last two months - doesn't help that most groups I listen to have had their comebacks on hold because of covid. I'm glad you were as swept up in the second half of the album as I was! Going from 00:00 to Inner Child to Friends to Moon genuinely makes me so happy and energetic whenever I listen to it. Respect gives you a nice silly bit of downtime, and then we are bulletproof: the eternal is so impactful. Something about the composition and lyrics together makes my heart shake whenever I listen. to answer your question about enlistment... ever since I first started thinking about what they are going to do I've always hoped that they would go together. Numbers wise it makes sense - Jin and Jungkook are so far apart in age that they would be incomplete for 6 or 7 years if they all waited until the last minute. But also from the standpoint of the boys. These days they always talk about how hard it is to schedules solo, or be apart from one another for too long, and if you think about the sheer weight of pressure that would fall on their shoulders if any of them had a solo comeback? It would be kind of crushing to deal with, and they know that.

i really hope they go into the army together. i’d much rather them go together, we go two years without them, and then they comeback as one than we’re constantly missing members, and that way they have each other as well

I feel like they are probably gonna do something similar to Big Bang regarding enlistment with everyone going at the same time and then later the maknae goes in the original plan. Or they may go by groups and the remaining people would form a unit. It's kind of unrealistic for the entire group to go at once but maybe BigHit will decide that, who knows.

Thank you for this, couldn’t wait to see this listening party! This album has grown on me immensely...I wasn’t so sure in the beginning but if feels so incredibly personal and different, that it eventually won me over and I absolutely adore it now...it also surprised me how much I loved the more ‘brighter’ songs as I tend to gravitate towards darker sound but MOON and ZERO O’CLOCK really got me. I do agree with the opinion that it feels almost like a final touch or end of an era, as if something big (maybe announcement) was coming but we’ll have to see :/

I'm so in love with this album. Every song seems special to me in a way, but my favourites have to be WAB: The Eternal (even though i don't listen to it much, because it makes me emotional for some reason :D), Zero O'Clock, UGH!, my time, Moon and Shadow. I do love all of them though. I think BTS' albums are very special, I also like many other groups in K-Pop, but i'm mostly always disappointed when listening to whole albums or EPs. With BTS i do really like every single song they put out, which is so rare. ON is also a great title track in my opinion and if i want to dance around and be in a good mood it's definitely the first song i would play from the album.

It has always been my idea that either they all go in together or 2 groups one after another. With how long they deferred Jin's enlistment and them making MOTS:7 a double album instead of the original plan of 2 separate albums makes me believe they are signalling that they aren't going to be around soon. The only reason I have 2 groups considered is that Suga and Jungkook we know are still working on music, Agust D 2 and 3 songs respectively. But we also have them signalling something to us, hints we don't understand until something happens. During their performance of Boy With Luv during the James Corden charity show Hobi, Jimin and Jin started waving 2 fingers. Something they have never done in that song. They weren't making peace signs like how Taehyung does it, they were waving/shaking the fingers. So if I'm guessing theories which we are always doing, they were either telling us Agust D 2 is coming or maybe symbolizing 2years or 2 groups referring to their military service. Unless it's something brand new those are the things associated with 2 for them that is known.

I was a little confused when you mentioned BTS World and Jhope with Friends, but now I realize you were referencing a different song. This song is about Jimin and V's close friendship over the years. Namjoon talked about it and how their friendship is so close that none of the rest of them can really understand it. I also agree with you that this feels like they're building up to a big announcement. WAB: The Eternal feels like they're saying, "Thank you for everything, and farewell for now". And like many have said, I truly hope they enlist together. They've said before that they're not BTS without all their members. I think both the members and ARMY would all feel like something was missing if they tried to perform with someone missing. I'd rather they just be gone for 2 years and then have a huge CB than dragging everything out over several years. Western artists have breaks of 2-3 years all the time, and don't lose their fans.

i absolutely adore this album.. my favourite BTS albums have always been YNWA (the Wings repackage) and Love Yourself: Tear but this one really comes in at a close 2nd. Black Swan!! is my LOVE, as well. And I was so happy to see you bopping to 'Moon'! and yeah i totally feel like it would have been a good 'farewell for now' type thing to end their final tour with WAB: the Eternal.. I was so looking forward to absolutely bawling my eyes out when they sang WAB: eternal, but covid-19 took that away from us ;-; I do wish they could all enlist at the same time, the wait would be less painful than drawing it out for 6-7+ years for sure! But whatever decision they make, we'll respect it for sure! Thank you for the reaction PD-nim! YAY!!! i was waiting for this for so long i am sooo excited thank u for filming it for us ! I loved ur reactions i was looking forward to them. The funny thing about this album is that every song, no matter the order u first played it in, gets better and better. It’s insane. It’s a roller coaster of emotions i feel nostalgic of my past but hopeful for the future. I feel like moshing during Ugh! and sobbing alone to WaB: Eternal. So brilliant. One of the best albums in my opinion that i’ve ever listened to. I didn’t get bored. So insane these guys.

Not sure where bts world came in .... but Friends is about Jimin and Taes Friendship it has nothing to do with jhope or bts world. It was playing off of each other cause the lyrics were about them.... kinda sad you missed it. But yeah Jimin and Tae have called each other their soulmate before.

I think it's the effect of BTS that makes you feel better through their songs hence you tend to like their brighter songs

This video was filmed on April 14, 2020 and at the start of the video PD talked about COVID saying "looks like this thing will be going on until may" bruh we're in January of 2022 and that "thing" is still going on... that's sad. But hey, I enjoyed watching this listening party again!
