They didn't perform Lavanter because Lavanter wasn't released at this point. About the group feeling a lot smaller, yeah it always does when someone is absent or leaves. I think it is a lot more noticable when they go from odd numbers to even numbers because the choreography often looks unbalanced because of the way the choreography is. Also with even number groups one member gets put behind another or the formations are off-balanced. If they go from even to odd, it feels more balanced (oddly enough) because there is usually one person in the center of the choreography and even numbers at the sides.
