Several things stood out to me after seeing this Leemujin Service - Key's performance that I didn't expect and his (and SHINee's overall) humble nature despite 16 years in the industry. In regards to the first one, I don't think I've ever heard him sing such songs on his own. Of course, there are SHINee's ballads and their extremely beautiful cover of IU's Dear Name, but Key himself, like you've said, has such a distinct style that these two songs seemed strange to me at first. Strangely beautiful, that's for sure, but strange nonetheless. If we compare voices of SHINee members, then (in my opinion) Onew is honey, Jonghyun is water, Minho is velvet, Taemin is silk, and Key is iron. So for me to hear him sing so softly and gently and emotionally is not surprising - he did it before, but the style itself is what is surprising. And honestly I just want more, because Kibum is in fact a very good vocalist and a very underestimated one. As for the humble words and attitude, it doesn't surprise me one bit. I every "behind the scenes", in every "making of" videos, members of SHINee are always perfectionists. They always work very hard, learn a lot and expand their knowledge (even now, Taemin has studied composing for Eternal, Onew is learning to play guitar, and Minho has been working hard by venturing into theatre plays all while preparing for his studio album) - they never stop. They evolve. That's why Hard album was so great - I remember you've said that they show their 15-year experience in it, but I also would like to add that they also show growth and moving forward. And that, I think, would be impossible if they were arrogant or cocky or thought about how to make everything easier. They love what they do. Key said it himself in this video - he loves performing. So that love can be seen and heard throughout all the music that SHINee makes as a group and as soloists. Also, I really hope that one day you'll have an opportunity to watch SHINee concert - maybe the group ones, or the solo ones (some of them can be found on YouTube, some... other ways xD). Because what you've said back in your reaction to their performance on Melon 2023 awards is multiplied during their concerts, especially this year, when Onew returned and they performed as a whole group. Of course, there is also the legendary Shinee World 2014 in Tokyo Dome concert that Kibum mentioned in this video as well - I highly recommend to watch it. It's a Japanese concert, so there are a lot of songs from their Japanese discography, and those songs are FIRE. But the concert itself is incredible, the energy is unmatched, and also has all the members performing solo stages (including the freshly-released smooth and funky Deja Boo stage from Jonghyun, the legendary emotional Onew's Rainy Blue performance with Taemin on piano, the infamous Key bondage stage that killed some people in the audience, with Minho performing a cheerful kids' song right after it, and finishing on half-naked Taemin performing Danger - talk about the range of this group).

Ahhh yesss love seeing this! I agree, Memories surprised me with how nice it was and I loved his voice on it. Honestly the best way to listen to some good Key belts is to go into some shinee albums and their legendary ballads. His piercing voice really blends will with a lot of the other member's more smooth ones and he's a bit more comfortable belting in his native language. Some I could recommend are: "An Ode to You" "If You Love Her" and "Colors of the Season".

The concert mentioned in another comment is one I would super super recommend as well! It's a Japanese one but it's Tokyo Dome so the staging is fantastic, there's member solos and in this case the file is high quality and has subs for everything! The talking parts and the lyrics too. One thing about shawols is that we’ll always tell u to listen/ watch concert performances because they just sound soo much better live

Ooh yes! Japanese albums are so different from their korean discography!! I also love the 2014 concert, when PD said Lady Gaga the first Key’s performance that I tought of is Born to shine 👀 I’m also leaving the link for the Tokyo Dome 2016, just because it has songs from their last DxDxD album and I love rock Shinee. They are of course more experienced but the stage presence in this one is crazy, especially in the solos. Also Jonghyun singing Crazy in the red suit and Onew singing opera is just iconic. PD check them both! XD https://drive.google.com/file/d/1t3RPmKarcK9pMU7Ig6UhGBDGWTkF4Fll/view

PD maybe it is finally time to do Tokyo Dome since you are on a few found appreciation for shinee members 😂

It’s so funny when shinee did the “reacting to their mv” trend cause all you heard were complaints and how they could’ve done better. Their perfectionism, in combination with their natural humor - VERY ENTERTAINING lol

Key has the perfect voice color for pop it’s ridiculous how well suited it is for things like American pop from a guy from Daegu — but then on top of that he goes above and beyond to conquer other genres and make it his own individual take WILD

I’ve always respected Shinee, but Key’s work ethic and stylistic pursuit as an artist and entertainer has been so awe inspiring to me these past few years, seeing his variety show self on multiple staple shows, and his individual pursuits as a solo artist, and I’m always envious of his eye for fashion that worked for years to cultivate ! (Even for official Shinee concerts and handling his own styling!) His mindset may not be as outright passionate (hence his lovingly clashing with Minho 😂) but his own self discipline while still possessing a love and clear sense of oneself AND the care he has for the people around him is so respectable, I’m sure he would laugh at the idea but I think he’s such a clear role model not just as an idol, but as a veteran entertainer and as a person who knows who he is and isn’t afraid to show it
