this is the PERFECT summer album I loved Feel the Pop (and it's gotten a LOT of wins), buuuuut thematically? Dear Eclipse or Sweat (I'd lean towards Sweat too) should have been the title to go in-line with the overarching concept. Though Solar Power also slaps.

This album showed off their vocals in all styles. Feel the pop feels like a rushed decision. Sweat is the song the group wanted to push so they forced the pre release of it, (which was good for them). Even solar power would have been a great lead single. My favorite track is Hello, it is just so vocally mature.

I definitely agree Sweat would have been better as the title track with Feel the Pop as the fun silly promoted bside instead! I’m also glad they’re letting Gunwook rap more (since he’s said he’s been wanting to do that more since Wild Idol) but also keeping his vocals in the mix a lot too because I love his voice.

I agree with you on how W1 handled the promotion of feel the pop especially with the mv, but personally I think the choice of having feel the pop as the title track is better from a promotional/marketing standpoint, given the way this album is currently packaged. Imo feel the pop is really playing towards current trends in music esp with how easy it is to listen to it, I feel like I could listen to feel the pop no matter what time it is but I have to be in a specific mood to listen to sweat(??). The sped up version is also likely an attempt to boost exposure especially via tiktok, there's a lot of sped up versions of both pop and kpop songs which have gone viral (like darari by treasure). Overall, this is my favourite zb1 album by far and the way this tracklist is arranged is perfect!! I feel like zb1 are developing and settling into their vocal/rap niches and the way their lines are assigned highlights more of their abilities and what each member is especially good at.

I agree with you, feel the POP isn’t a good title track for this album. In fact for me it’s the worst song in the album

hey PD, thanks for all these amazing reactions! I would also love to see your reaction to p1harmony's first full album Killin' It. Hope you will do a listening party for this because I can definitely say that it's one of the best albums I've heard this year. I actually just recently got into p1harmony because I loved their title track Killin' it and I only knew few of their songs, so this was my first time listening to their album and I'm SO GLAD I DID IT. Almost every bside is worth to have an mv and I can say this about all their previous eps. LIKE WHY THEIR BSIDES ARE SO GOOD AND SO CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED??? I regret sleeping on p1harmony's music and talents but that just proves how good this album is because it made me a stan:) have a great day PD!

Honestly, my feeling for the album track list is exactly this: we're spending a day in the summer with ZB1, starting with the rising sun, going dancing in the middle and winding down at the end... and that's another reason why I also think Sweat would have been a better title track, encapsulating it all - both the sexiness/hotness of Solar Power and Dear Eclipse, as well as the freshness/chillness of Feel the Pop and Sunday Ride... as well as what you mentioned about the MV (being together from dusk till dawn).FTP could have been a pre release or a double title, but I do feel like it's not really representing the whole album... also, personally I find it a bit hard/uninteresting to listen to (despite everything going on) and have mostly been doing so to support them... I think Crush also didn't necessarily represent the Melting Point album as tt, but at least it seemed to go hand in hand with In Bloom in both sound and visuals (e.g. the darker scenes from In Bloom)... either way, the album overall did well and it's also my favourite so far.

Dear Eclipse actually uses a reverse sample of Feel the Pop, that's why the transition seems so smooth. I really like Feel the Pop after listening to it multiple times, but it's actually my least favorite song of the album. All the other tracks are absolute bangers. I think the line distributions on this album are overall really fair and everyone gets to shine with their vocals. Sweat should have been the title track imo.
