THE GUARDIANS - Part One (Special Feature) (Patreon)

Hello friends! As promised, I've curated a special feature to enjoy the art I did on Seth and Kaylea. They commissioned me for this piece to celebrate eleven years of friendship! Truly remarkable people, they sourced much of the material in the woods.

This was the first time I had worked with Kaylea, and also the first time she had seen Seth naked! They both handled it pretty well. They were childhood friends and created some amazing memories together in school. 

Seth has been featured in some notable work with me, including my first music video, documentary, and magazine cover. I found him at a runway show in 2014.

Kaylea later went on to star as Simba/Scar in my Heroes and Villains series. In this project she is portraying a powerful protector of the forest.  That's a lot of P's! 

What's fascinating about this set of photos (and my projects in general) is that I put things together without a plan, more or less. I see how the art fits together, and create accordingly. I let my emotion and creativity do most of the guidance, and only bring in practical elements when the weight of the prosthetics are important. The branch that is featured behind his back took about 30 minutes of careful maneuvering to attach it.
