so they ended up combining, the winter solstice story of heibai, wan shi tong he who knows 10,000 things the knowledge spirit of the library episode for a brief moment, the swamp episode where they saw visions of their trauma but more in depth, they added the bato of the water tribe episode but just with having june and her shirshew mole that tracks her targets, and they added the animated series season 3 episode of the southern raiders where kataras mom dies, huge combinations and most of it happens in just 34 minutes so far. insane combos, and then they re writed sokka ice dodging with his dad and him being disappointed instead of doing it with bato, then they added koh the face stealer from the season finale of the A.S. into this, the rules to contacting koh was to not react at all show no emotion but they wrote it out, added the sea of lost souls from korra, this might be my more favorable episode, with the way they did it, and added leaving sokka and katara behind in the spirit world to see roku so aang can save his friends, they keep adding the yuyan archers in the background of episodes as homage i guess. momo looks so cute even as cgi, looks authentic.

i haven’t liked the script and dialogue so i just tune it out and focus on the sets and everything else, but yeah. i agree with your points, and as far as the distance and land, they are in the earth nation territory that’s occupied by fire nation, so yeah. And aang has a couple of lines that could’ve worked 1:1 from the animated show that shows the weight of his responsibility in a simple and effective way, him not working on waterbending is a concern right now, it is my first time watching the whole thing with y’all so we’ll see.
