Can't believe we're almost caught up to the present!! 😱 This week's special takes us on a divisive time loop scenario set on New Year's Eve!  Some interesting character beats in this one + a direct connection to The Flux...  what'd you guys think of this special???

Lovely and mediocre, which I quite enjoyed. I've become such a limbo viewer for the past few years as the writing has plummeted into generic, unrealised and holy unimaginative at times. I'd been warn down to have ever decreasing expectations, so this really didn't phase me too much. The specials maybe have a history of being patchy, subjectively so. This is maybe the worse of the past 3, story wise. I don't feel the script was terrible, not high praise either. Those have all been Dalek episodes. Chibs is a real ideas guy. But hey, not the first time that the Daleks have been a little overused. I didn't mind the characters and liked all the performances. The humour, to form, did both land and sliced in the rough in equal measure. That speech The Doctor made felt very uninspiring. Jodie did her best with that material, that felt it been lifted from a budget self-help book.
