What an absolute BLAST this movie was!!  Definitely lived up to the hype & then some. I'm always marveling at the teams Lord & Miller are able to assemble and just how lively & inspired so many of the films become.  Mitchells manages to combine a family road trip comedy with an apocalyptic sci-fi story with plenty of memes & youtube poop energy to go around -- join us for a TERRIFIC animated adventure!!!

My nephew ironically showed me this movie during the pandemic (he was 6 at the time) and he loved it so much that he watched it over and over on repeat and I swear it was just because of the pug licking the dad and the giant furby because he couldn't wait for those scenes and would try to fast forward to it or rewind back to it lol honestly though the "dog, pig, loaf of bread joke" was one of my favourites of the movie 🤣🤣 Such a great movie I will never not enjoy it even after seeing it 500 times during the pandemic lol ❤️ If you liked this Netflix animation you should check out these other Netflix ones that I personally think are wonderful and full of heart like: Over the Moon, Vivo, Nimona, The Willoughby's, Next Gen, Wish Dragon, Animal Crackers, The Sea Beast, Back to the Outback just to name a few lmao I babysit my nephew soooooo I've seen a loooooot of these animated movies if you're wondering lol 🤣🤣

Oh my stars, I have voted this movie so much on other channels, I am so glad that you guys enjoyed it as much as you did in the ways you did. I believe the moment I fell in love with this movie (not "really like", no... "love") was in the beginning when Katie came dancing into her room and that knee hole in her jeans had eyeballs sharpie'd above it, like it was a muppet or a sock puppet. More follows, but I've figured out how to hide text-walls.

There are so many tiny little creative things in this movie, like yes exactly thank you, the writing on the hand. The way her imagination adds a straight up cartoon enhancement (or filter) to real life, like the rapter claw "rawr", because that's the way she believes it should be and she sees it so clearly in her mind. And as far as the power of her mind's eye, its so wonderful that early on she's directing her brother and he's following her prompts like "58 yrs old, hardened criminal, nothing to lose, GO." This will be added to, I'm just a little tired and sloshed now.

I know you will never see this probably but Possums and Opossums are different animals but both are pronounced the same in common use. Opossums are in the Americas while Possums live in Australia and in some other countries.
