The most Tarantino-y tribute episode to ever Tribute Tarantino!!  Okay, perhaps not the MOST, but still a lot of fun film-style flourishes + a nonlinear timeline, and some grave stakes.  What'd y'all think of this one??

This ep had alot of pluses and minuses that kind of cancel themselves off, like I really liked the whole directorial style with the Tarantino tributes, that even though I only saw like 2,3 Tarantino films, I did recognize many of the nods so that was great, I really liked Jerry Trimble as Ramiel, even if it was short lived, he definately brought similar trates and characteristics from Azezal (yet another tribute in this tribute heavy ep), but unfortunately there was some downs with the plot armor, janky fight scene, and Mary's "character development", idk how to call that, cause on one side she was very reckless by going in there stealing that and not tell anything to the boys, yet she had that more badass scene with Ketch at the dinner, so idk how to feel about that. But at the end, I liked this ep, so I guess that's the most important thing. Btw, what's with this new seating setup? it kind of messes with my brain seeing you guys for so many years in the same spots, and now suddenly you just switched seats?😂 Not really a big deal, just a thought I had.

I enjoy the Richard Speight Jr directed episodes. For me his “cheekiness” comes through in the style and it seems like he is having fun. Definitely some plot holes but overall enjoyable for me. I try to justify the boys getting the jump on Ramiel by assuming he was out of practice after all those years of laying low. One interesting item to note. They really wanted the Lucifer reveal to be a surprise. It’s one of the only times the opening credits did not spoil an appearance of an actor. They kept Pelligrino’s name until the end credits.

I like this episode and I've never seen one Tarantino movie. Ramiel only wanted to fish, and I didn't think he was that evil, anymore. Mary stole from him, even though technically Crowley stole the Colt from the Winchesters. But we know we'll probably be dealing with the last two Princes of Hell. I know you've met Dagon, but wait until you meet Asmodeus. I can't wait to hear what you think about him. Crowley NEVER gets credit for helping. I liked that it was him that broke the lance and saved the day. The bit where Mary asks 'Where's Dean' and Sam responds, "parking the car" is when they had to rush Jensen off set because his twins were being born. That was a whole mess because he forgot his passport, but he made it in time.
